hmm, this is an odd question. Try sealing them if you have not already done so. Other than that I am not sure, it may come off with time.

Hang one of those little green tree air fresheners around it's neck, should do the trick.

When I got a lot of figs from a Ebay seller, they smelled very odd. Like of, I dunno...Cajun or Mexican spices laced with cigarette smoke.
It usally goes away on its own. But if not, give it a few coats of sealer. When I used a couple of the figs for parts, made a custom, and sealed them, after the sealer smell disappeared the other smell did as well. So I'd go with the sealer idea. Or maybe Febreze, I dunno if that'll do anything to the paintjob though.
