Why are people trying to make it more confusing than necessary. If the package the figure came in says hunico, then it's hunico. If it says sin cara, then it's sin cara. That's like saying if a figure is labeled Johnny Nitro, then it isn't John Morrison. Yes, they are 2 diff characters, but there is a storyline progression that made him from Sin Cara to Sin Cara Negro to Hunico, so they are all the same. The cross logo was made to signify whether it was Hunico or Mistico under the hood. No. We weren't supposed to know that there were two different guys playing the sin cara character at all. Mistico was injured shortly after his debut and they didn't want the character to loose momentum. They only decided to reveal that there was a second guy playing the sin cara character after word got out on the net and people started to notice the obvious difference their builds. For weeks the announcers ignored the obviously noticeable difference in their physiques until they decided to begin that angle. It's like how in tna several different guys played the suicide character. So, if you own the suicide fig from di series one, is that Daniels or kazarian under the mask. It's neither. It's a plastic action figure of the masked wrestling character suicide. You know that because it says suicide right there on the package. Same goes for sin cara. You can't try to thrust real life into the equation to try to override what Mattel or the wwe is doing.

You can't try to thrust real life into the equation to try to override what Mattel or the wwe is doing. A) Sin Cara Mistico was suspended due to wellness violation. Sin Cara Hunico took his place while he was on suspension for the reason of the Azul vs. Negro storyline. There is a storied history between the 2 in Mexico that WWE wanted to use (http://www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown/2011-09-30/both-sin-caras-talk-to-wwe.com), so WWE came up with this storyline with hope it would eventually get one or both over...just like every storyline ever. B) TNA did not reveal that Kaz or Daniels or Kyoshi was Suicide. So it doesnt matter who they make him out to be. C) We don't know if Mattel did or didn't realize that they were putting the Sin Cara Hunico logo on the figure with Daniel Bryan, but since the Battle Pack is 'Sin Cara vs. Daniel Bryan', and Bryan is the one Sin Cara Hunico turned on to start using heel tactics, which eventually started the Sin Cara Azul vs. Sin Cara Negro feud, I think Mattel knew exactly what they were doing. And your right, at the end of the day, it's labeled as Sin Cara, and can be passed as the regular Sin Cara. But for the purposes of a Hunico collection, which will have at best 4 figures, I would make this figure part of it.

to me it just looks like a normal sin cara figure, I can't tell that they put a Sin Cara Hunico logo on him. Any one got any pics of the Battle Pack Hunico next to a Real Sin cara figure.

The real Sin Cara never fought D Bry in that period it's based on, so it's Hunico. And if we weren't supposed to know it was him, why did they turn it into a storyline? To me there's two characters, Sin Cara and the copycat.

Yeah, I have to agree that I see Hunico getting 3 figures: BP with Bryan, B18 and B23. All the rest are Sin Cara

The blue Sin Cara with the cross design from Elite 15 is technically Hunico. From the moment Hunico was introduced, Sin Cara went over to the wing design (with the silver eye detailing as seen here: www.wwe.com/f/photo/image/2011/11/SD_639_Photo_018.jpg) and gave the cross design to Hunico. The BP set with D Bry is Hunico. Basically any blue Sin Cara with the cross design is Hunico. The problem is that they made him as short as the real Sin Cara, even though the design portrays Hunico's Sin Cara. If you put Basic 23 Hunico next to Elite 15 Sin Cara and BP Sin Cara, Hunico is much taller.

I recall basic 18 Sin Cara Negro being (about) the same height as Azul though. Not nearly as much difference as basic 23.
