IM thinking about doing a torso swap for my Nicky and Ive split torsos before, but it turned out horrible. The one I used had quite a few stress marks on it (It was for an Abyss and since I put a vest on him, it didnt matter), but the other one I seperated I basically had to destroy since it wouldnt come apart
Does anyone have any other tips or tecniques other than what is on the FAQ board
Otherwise I may just comission someone just to send the parts to them so they can split the torsos for me
Also, the arms on the one I switch before came out loose, anyway to avoid that as well?

read the faq and for the arm deal take the torso apart and put peices of paper or rubber or such and put it in the arm soket where the arms set in place and then put the arms back in seal it ans voila smite me

We (the custom discussion thread) have decided that torsos after RA 17 have become unusually hard to split, so that may be the issue.

Well poop
The torso I want to put on Nicky is the Road to WM Cena torso. I may try some out with one of the many extra figures I have. Ill find one thats completely usless and try it out. Would Boiling the figure for a while help at all?

I successfully split a ra20 kid kash torso for a CM Punk custom i'm starting. it was so easy to split I didn't even have to boil the figure. there was no stress marks either. i find that HW and SHW torso's can be really hard to split though, even after boiling.

What about Cena torsos and shirted torsos, are those usually easier or harder? How long do you boil them? And do you keep them soft after you boil them or is it mainly to try and boil off the glue?
The previous hard ones I did were tank top and SHW, maybe that was the problem
Thanks for the advice too guys

I start to split them with a screwdriver, and if I can't get it then i would boil it but that hasn't happened to me yet. I boiled a HW torso for 10 minutes one time and it got me no where. it was still tight and hard to split. After you boil them the arms and legs etc are really soft but then they get hard again after a few minutes. I hope that helps. Take your time with splitting it as well.
