It's Easter, the stores are hot... I went out for one last late night run and boy did it pay off... the shelves were empty in Target, but I asked en employee if they had anymore figures so he scanned the tag and came back with a fresh box of E20... probably the only time I've ever had this happen and not got the "we only have whats out here" line. Nothing better than opening a fresh box like like that. It's gonna make my kids Easter to surprise him with this Jericho, we've been going crazy looking for it. To top it off I played stupid and told them at the register the tag said $12.95 (price of the basics) and they just gave it to me lol.

Very cool figs. Glad you found em. BOOOOOO on the lie @ the register. That kind of thing is what makes it harder on people who actually do find an item marked wrong. If it had just been one it wouldn't have been such a bad thing. You basically got 1 for free by telling a lie. Sleep well on that. You should probably keep that little nugget a secret from your son.

Why the hell is Target pricing them at $20 anyway? That's not retail price.

Targets usually good like that. Whether they're stupid or just don't care, I don't feel bad at all when I tell the, the wrong price if my item don't scan. It's usually reasonable, I'm never like "it's a buck!!" But bravo. I've been thinking about getting that cena since the newest one I have is elite 3 and I hear-tll the, newer cenas are pretty good figs.

Thanks man. LOL at me "lying" I was gonna get them regardless, it's not my fault if the employee couldn't be bothered to do her job and do a price check. It's not like I put up a fight about it, she literally just said ok and did it.

You knew the right price & unless the register didn't, you should have done the honest thing & paid what they rang up if that was the price you knew them to be. Face it dude. You just scammed the store for an Easter present for your kid. An EASTER present. Kind ironic, IMO. You knew you were doing the wrong thing. You even put it in your title. "My greatest coup yet". Just sayin.

That was pretty ballsy telling them they were $12.95, but congrats on actually snagging the figures for that price.

Nothing better then finding a fresh case all to yourself. I need that Jericho. I also would have told the people at target that the figs cost $9.99

That is very lame, what if somewhere down the line that person who works there gets in trouble for putting the wrong price in ? She could very easily get fired for something like that, and could affect her getting a new job and so on.
You on purpose told the person at the register the wrong price to save yourself a few bucks at the expense of others. That is stealing no matter what excuse you give. It is just wrong and I you should be banned from here as a result.
Also you are just not a good human being. Also other people on here supporting this kind of crap and just as crappy of human beings as this guy.

It's not like I put up a fight about it, she literally just said ok and did it. Obviously you went out of your way to tell them that the price was wrong since the receipt has the "regular price $19.79" line and she would have had to manually override to give you a lower price. Not cool man. This is one of the reasons why the prices keep going up on this stuff. They have to make up for their losses from when people do stuff like this.

Why the hell is Target pricing them at $20 anyway? That's not retail price. Unfortunately, it is for them. Each store can set their own price. There is no 1 uniform price that every store has to charge. Most stores set prices based on what competition is around them. The only reason they have stayed @ around $17 around me is that there are 2 Wal-Marts, a Target, A K-Mart & a toy R Us all within just a few miles of each other.

Its one thing if Target rings it up and it says Item not found or something but the figures were rang up at the right price and you went out of your way to A)Lie about the price and then B)basically steal figures by not paying the full price. But I see the Target location and phone number on the receipt. Maybe I should call and give them a heads up on what someone has been doing. OP probably looks like Chumlee wondering around Target at night in his sweatpants scouting for toys.

Maybe you could be the ultimate jackass and switch the figures, take them back and get a refund. That would definitely be the 'greatest' coup/robbery.
