I read how to take the head off a figure and decided to try and fix up a figure, just an old one. So Ive taken the head off an old Chavo figure but I'm confused, should the black piece inside the head be on the neck or inside the head? Mine is inside the head and was wondering if this was right...?

Yep, it should be inside the head.

Well, if you want to do a simple head switch with another RA figure, there is really no need to removed the peg. Just pop the other head out, peg and all, and put it on the figure.
However, if you really want the peg out of the head for other reasons, maybe putting it inside a hollowed TTL head, then all you have the do is either boil the head or run it under a hair dryer for a few seconds, and it should be a breeze the come out. Just use pilers to take it out, or what I use, is a fork.

Oh, well, there is really no trick in popping an RA head onto a torso. Just make sure it's in place, and use some force!
