TNA Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling open…
Jeremy Borash welcomed everyone to the latest Pay per View from TNA Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling. The biggest story in wrestling at this moment in time is that last week ‘Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels became the first TNA Champion the world is talking about it and tonight we would hear from Christopher Daniels.
Still shots in slow motion aired from the closing moments of the Gauntlet for the Gold match last week showing Christopher Daniels foot land on the bottom ring step saving Daniels from elimination. Christopher Daniels sneak back in to eliminate AJ Styles when AJ, Low Ki and the fans had thought it had come down to AJ Styles V Low Ki to crown the first TNA Champion. Low Ki got hurt, injured his knee after Daniels pushed Low Ki over the top rope to the floor. Daniels eventually put Low Ki away with his Angel Wings to make history and become the first TNA Champion.
Tonight; TNA Champion, ‘Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels!
Fireworks went off around the arena before we joined Mike Tenay and Don West at ringside. Tenay and West started off by congratulating ‘Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels on becoming the first TNA Champion. Mike Tenay and Don West hyped tonight’s show which would see two big Main Events (AJ Styles V Steve Corino & Jerry Lynn and Ron Killings V Elix Skipper and Jeff Jarrett) plus we would hear from Kid Kash tonight and Kash would explain why he attacked his protégé Joey Matthews.
Tonight’s Main Event; AJ Styles V Steve Corino!
Up Next; Jerry Lynn and Ron Killings V Elix Skipper and Jeff Jarrett…
Jeremy Borash was backstage with Jeff Jarrett ahead of tonight’s opening match. Jarrett wasn’t happy. Borash asked Jarrett how he felt after failing to become the first TNA Champion. Jarrett called Borash’s question stupid. Jarrett also accused Jerry Lynn and Ron Killings of being the reason he is not the TNA Champion. Jarrett has already on multiple occasions put Killings in his place and will do again but tonight would prove to any one who doubts otherwise that he and not Jerry Lynn is the biggest star in TNA Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling.
Borash stopped Jarrett before Jarrett left and Borash asked Jarrett if he had an opinion or any comment on Christopher Daniels becoming the first TNA Champion. Jarrett said if he wasn’t champion then all he cares about was that AJ Styles was not champion. Jarrett was over the moon that Ricky Steamboat’s hand picked guy never become the first TNA Champion once again AJ Styles took his eye of the ball, once again AJ failed in front of the world. AJ Styles had a chance to make a name for himself had a chance to prove that he hasn’t been handed everything here in TNA by Steamboat and once again AJ Styles showed that he is nothing more than a loser and like Steamboat said a few weeks back the cream rises to the top here in TNA and AJ Styles is starting to sink to the bottom.
Match 1;
Time Limit; 20 Minutes
Jerry Lynn and Ron Killings V Elix Skipper and Jeff Jarrett
Time Limit; 20 Minutes
Jerry Lynn and Ron Killings V Elix Skipper and Jeff Jarrett
Footage was shown from Gauntlet for the Gold last week of Jerry Lynn lasting longer than any other man in the match before being eliminated by ‘Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels also shown was Ron Killings eliminating Jeff Jarrett, Elix Skipper and Monty Brown before being eliminated by Abyss.
Mike Tenay reported that ‘Alpha Male’ Monty Brown was not at arena tonight.
Monty Brown came through the crowd during the match to attack Ron Killings at ringside from behind. Brown dropped Killings with a chop lock to the back of Killings left knee. Match official didn’t see Brown’s attack because it would have resulted in an immediate disqualification. Dangerous move from Monty Brown which could have seriously injured Ron Killings…
Jerry Lynn and Ron Killings beat Elix Skipper and Jeff Jarrett via pin fall after Lynn pinned Skipper after Skipper and Jarrett tried to work together but Lynn pushed Skipper into Jarrett knocking Jarrett off the ring apron allowing Lynn to surprise Skipper with a roll up for the win.
Winners; Jerry Lynn and Ron Killings
Jerry Lynn rolled straight out of the ring after the pin fall. Elix Skipper shot up in shock. Monty Brown rolled into the ring and wasn’t happy with Skipper as Brown and Skipper argued with the match official Jeff Jarrett stood up at ringside. Jarrett didn’t look happy and he and Brown caught one another’s eye which calmed Monty Brown down who then calmed Elix Skipper down. Don West said Monty Brown calls himself a business man and Brown knows at this stage of his career it is smarter to have Jeff Jarrett on his side then against him.
Jerry Lynn celebrated with a limping Ron Killings at ringside. Monty Brown may have got a shot in on Killings tonight but it was Ron Killings thanks to Jerry Lynn who has come away with what matters the most the victory.
Footage was shown of Low Ki being stretchered out of the arena last week as Mike Tenay introduced Jeremy Borash who was standing by with an update on the condition of Low Ki who was close to becoming the first TNA Champion…
Jeremy Borash revealed that doctors at this early stage can confirm that Low Ki has suffered ligament damage to both his knee and ankle but doctors are not sure whether they will need to operate at this time because of how bad the swelling to both areas is. Borash announced that at this minute Low Ki would be out a minimum of 6 weeks but depending on whether Low Ki needs surgery or not Low Ki could be out for a number of months.
‘Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels the first TNA Champion was shown arriving at the arena earlier today in a limousine.
Match 2;
Time Limit; 20 Minutes
Amazing Red V Mamaluke w. Romeo
Time Limit; 20 Minutes
Amazing Red V Mamaluke w. Romeo
Amazing Red beat Mamaluke via pin fall after Red spiked Mamaluke with his Satellite DDT and finished Mamaluke off with his Code Red.
Winner; Amazing Red
Amazing Red now has a 5-1 record and has impressed over the weeks but it now remains to be seen whether Amazing Red can join the top tier of TNA Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling.
Jeremy Borash was standing by backstage. Borash has tried to get a word with Steve Corino ahead of tonight’s main event but Corino closed a door in his face. Borash will however speak with Corino’s opponent AJ Styles after the next match.
Highlights aired from the Gauntlet for the Gold match last week highlighting the dominant performance of ‘The Monster’ Abyss. Abyss eliminated 7 men Chase Stevens, Mark Briscoe, Ron Killings, Amazing Red, Shark Boy, Jimmy Rave and Chris Harris before being eliminated by AJ Styles…
Abyss was shown standing by backstage before Jim Mitchell stepped in front of his monster to speak. Jim Mitchell told the world a few weeks back that it doesn’t matter how big you are or how much you weigh all you need to be a monster is a black heart and be able to show no remorse and last week AJ Styles showed the world that he too is a monster. AJ Styles from behind like a coward in the night snuck up behind and eliminated Abyss last week costing the most deserving of his place in history as the first TNA Champion. Jim Mitchell warned AJ that he has made an enemy in Abyss and now AJ must and will pay and will pay before the night is over. Mitchell told AJ Styles that there is only one way to kill a monster and that is to tear its head off.
Mike Tenay and Don West spoke at ringside, they were worried for AJ Styles now Abyss and Jim Mitchell have threatened AJ and they are promising to make AJ Styles pay tonight for costing Abyss the TNA Championship.
Tonight; TNA Champion, ‘Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels!
Match 3;
Time Limit; 20 Minutes
Jimmy Yang V Sonny Siaki
Time Limit; 20 Minutes
Jimmy Yang V Sonny Siaki
Mike Tenay spoke with Ricky Steamboat earlier today and Steamboat told Tenay that both Jimmy Yang and Sonny Siaki are two talents that TNA management believes have a lot of potential.
Sonny Siaki beat Jimmy Yang via pin fall after Siaki tripped Yang on the ring apron causing Yang to land hard on the back of his head which set Yang up perfectly once Yang had rolled back in the ring for Siaki’s Siakalypse running neckbreaker.
Winner; Sonny Siaki
Sonny Siaki with the victory which could be considered an upset over the more experienced Jimmy Yang; Mike Tenay claimed the victory to be the biggest victory of Sonny Siaki’s career. Don West praised Siaki on taking a few weeks off to go away and re focus.
AJ Styles was standing by backstage with Jeremy Borash. Borash told AJ if he didn’t already know that tonight Jeff Jarrett has once again called AJ Styles a failure while Jim Mitchell has threatened that tonight Abyss will make AJ Styles pay for costing Abyss the TNA Championship. Borash asked AJ how he feels when he tells him that when AJ also has to deal with the fact that he thought last week he had eliminated Christopher Daniels and it was down to him and Low Ki to crown the first TNA Champion before being eliminated by Christopher Daniels, plus on top of all that AJ Styles tonight will be in the Main Event against former World Heavyweight Champion, Steve Corino.
AJ Styles told Borash that Jeff Jarrett likes to run his mouth when the truth is Jeff Jarrett hasn’t proven anything to anybody himself yet since TNA opened its doors. Jeff Jarrett is living of past achievements. AJ heard about Abyss’ threat and AJ wants Abyss to know that AJ won’t be hiding from him and if they have an issue AJ will step up to Abyss like a man. AJ stopped before addressing Christopher Daniels. AJ slowed down and got real serious when he told Borash that last week he was shocked that Christopher Daniels some how got back in the ring to eliminate him. AJ was convinced that Christopher Daniels must have cheated but when AJ seen the tape AJ realizes that Christopher Daniels just got lucky. AJ can’t put it down to anything else it was sheer luck that Daniels foot landed on the ring step. AJ admitted to getting angry just thinking about it but told Borash that he is focused now on getting his shot at the TNA Championship and to do that AJ has to win the big matches and there aint many bigger than a Main Event against a former World Heavyweight Champion. Tonight AJ Styles will beat Steve Corino a move one step closer to earning his shot at the TNA Championship.
Tonight’s Main Event; AJ Styles V Steve Corino!
Jeremy Borash was now standing in the middle of the ring. Borash asked the fans to welcome the first ever TNA Champion… ‘Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels!
Christopher Daniels walked out on to the stage dressed in a smart black suite with black shirt and shades while holding his TNA Championship. Daniels showed off his TNA title as he made his way down the aisle ignoring the fans as Daniels made his way into the ring where Borash was waiting. Christopher Daniels met Jeremy Borash in the middle of the ring Borash offered his hand to Daniels but Daniels just took the microphone.
Christopher Daniels with his hand motioned for Jeremy Borash to get out of the ring. Daniels told the fans to be quiet and to listen to every word that comes out of his mouth because everything Christopher Daniels’ says is the truth. Daniels proved he’s a man of his word when he told he would make history and become the first TNA Champion. Daniels made everyone else on the TNA Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling roster look like fools and liars because they all claimed they would become the first TNA Champion. What hurt Daniels more than anything was that Daniels claim was the one that was ignored, laughed at and Daniels was seen as an outsider at best but it was Daniels who beat the entire TNA Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling roster to do something that could never be done again and that was make history by become the first TNA Champion. Some people have labeled the ‘Fallen Angel’ lucky because Daniels foot landed on the ring step and not the floor. Christopher Daniels wanted to everyone to hear that what happened there was not luck it was his genius, Daniels believes that there are still people out there who do not respect or under estimate just how good he is so Christopher Daniels will remind everyone one more time that last week Christopher Daniels beat the entire TNA roster including former World Heavyweight Champions, Jerry Lynn, Steve Corino, Jeff Jarrett, including ‘The Monster’ Abyss and including TNA’s hand picked golden boy AJ Styles plus Daniels not only beat Low Ki but Daniels sent Low Ki to the hospital and the fans may never see Low Ki again to become the first TNA Champion.
Christopher Daniels next week will find out who is first challenger to his TNA title will be but the truth is that it doesn’t matter who is selected because there is no man on the TNA roster who can beat him there is no man on the TNA roster who can take his TNA title. Christopher Daniels reminded the fans that the words that come out of his mouth are the words of the ‘Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels, God’s gift to the professional wrestling business and the first ever TNA Champion!
Mike Tenay and Don West ran over Christopher Daniels words as the first TNA Champion left the ring. Tenay and West noted how confident Christopher Daniels was and rightfully so after winning the Gauntlet for the Gold match last to become the first TNA Champion. Tenay and West wondered who would be named the first Number one contender to the TNA title next week.
Match 4;
Time Limit; 20 Minutes
Chris Harris V Jimmy Rave
Time Limit; 20 Minutes
Chris Harris V Jimmy Rave
Mike Tenay and Don West noticed during the match that some fans were booing Chris Harris this is a result of Harris eliminating James Storm from their hometown hero James Storm from the Gauntlet for the Gold match last week.
Chris Harris beat Jimmy Rave via tap out after Harris locked Rave in his Texas clover leaf and Rave had no choice but to tap out.
Winner; Chris Harris
Chris Harris responded well from being booed for the first time in his career which must have been difficult plus Harris also rebounded well from suffering his first defeat in TNA last week. Chris Harris with 9 victories may be in with a shot at being named the number one contender to the TNA title next week.
Jimmy Rave again threw a tantrum at ringside after the match. Officials came out to order Rave backstage but Rave was screaming at everyone and ignoring their orders until finally making his own way backstage.
Mike Tenay used Jimmy Rave’s bad attitude as a way to introduce footage of Kid Kash debuting in TNA a couple of weeks back where Kash shocked a lot of people by attacking his protégé Joey Matthews. Footage was shown of this as Tenay spoke about the attack. Tenay introduced a recorded interview with Kid Kash where Kash explained why he attacked Joey Matthews.
Kid Kash has always looked out for Joey Matthews for some reason since day one since the first day they met Kash has always had a soft spot for Matthews and has wanted to help Matthews and Kash has always tried to help Matthews, Kash took Matthews under his wing and taught him the ropes. Joey Matthews can not be happy with how his career is going. Joey Matthews has lost more matches than anyone else on the roster. Joey Matthews is not respected by TNA management in Kash’s opinion. Matthews is used as the guy who can come out slap hands with the fans put a smile on the fans face but then get their butt kicked or even if/when Matthews was to win it would mean nothing. Kash said there is nothing more disrespectful than being placed in that role and Kash should no because he was put in that position in ECW and it has turned Kash bitter and he will not let Matthews fall into that trap. Jimmy Yang called losing to Joey Matthews the low point of his career. Kash continued that Matthews who decided to walk away from a very promising tag team to fulfill his dream of becoming a singles Champion was thrown into a tag team with Chase Stevens as an afterthought. Joey Matthews has accepted all of this and did nothing about it and that turned Kash’s stomach so 2 weeks ago Kash debuted and he hoped he taught Matthews a lesson he hopes that being attacked by the one man he thought he could trust would open Joey Matthews eyes and together they could go on and make history by becoming the first TNA Tag Team Champions but to do that Joey Matthews has to let his emotions his bitterness and anger take over then there will be no stopping the two of them. Kid Kash finished up by saying everything he has ever done has been for Joey Matthews own good.
Mike Tenay and Don West were a little freaked out by Kid Kash’s comments, Tenay has never seen or heard of this bitterness that has clearly been eating Kid Kash. We would have to wait and see whether Joey Matthews will forgive Kash and form a tag team or will Joey Matthews stand up for himself and start creating his own path.
Jeremy Borash was backstage to hype next week’s Pay per View. Next week the number one contender to ‘Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels TNA Championship will be named. Plus signed during tonight’s match next week we would see Ron Killings take on Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett holds three questionable victories over Killings while it was Killings that eliminated Jarrett from the Gauntlet for the Gold match. Also next week TNA Total Non-Stop Action Wresting would make history when for the first time we would see a match with no rules when in the Main Event, Nashville’s favorite son ‘Tennessee Cowboy’ James Storm takes on William Muellar in a No Disqualification match. Up next William Muellar will be in action…
Match 5;
Time Limit; 20 Minutes
Chase Stevens V William Muellar
Time Limit; 20 Minutes
Chase Stevens V William Muellar
William Muellar came out for the match again carrying his black sheet which Muellar has been using to blind his victims before attacking. James Storm was William Muellar’s first victim…
‘Tennessee Cowboy’ James Storm was shown during the match watching backstage it seemed Storm was struggling to stay backstage wanting to get his hands on William Muellar.
William Muellar beat Chase Stevens via count out after Muellar ran Stevens off the ring apron sending Stevens crashing into the security railings. Stevens tried to beat the count but Stevens couldn’t even get back to his feet so was unable to get back into the ring to beat the crowd.
Winner; William Muellar
William Muellar stood tall in the middle of the ring as Mike Tenay and Don West recklessly and viciously sent Chase Stevens into the security railings showing no remorse for Stevens well being. Muellar leaned over the ropes and laughed as the match official was checking on Chase Stevens.
James Storm slid into the ring and tackled William Muellar. Storm got in a few shots on Muellar before Muellar managed to roll out of the ring. Storm was worked up and went out after Muellar but as Storm jumped off the ring apron Muellar kicked Storm in between the legs dropping James Storm. Muellar leaned down towards Storm and told a hurting Storm that Storm never seen that coming while TNA never saw William Muellar coming.
Next Week; Main Event; No Disqualification Match: James Storm V William Muellar!
Next Week; Ron Killings V Jeff Jarrett!
Next Week; Number one Contender to the TNA Championship will be named
Up Next; Tonight’s Main Event; AJ Styles V Steve Corino…
Match 6;
Main Event
Time Limit; 30 Minutes
AJ Styles V Steve Corino
Main Event
Time Limit; 30 Minutes
AJ Styles V Steve Corino
AJ Styles beat Steve Corino via pin fall after Styles got control of the match hitting Corino with a springboard flying forearm, Pele kick, moonsault into DDT before finishing Corino off with his Styles Clash. AJ Styles was very impressive tonight maybe more focused than ever and it led to AJ beating Steve Corino like Corino was any ordinary wrestler not a former World Heavyweight Champion.
Winner; AJ Styles
AJ Styles had his hand raised in victory when instantly Abyss’ music hit in the arena and seconds later ‘The Monster’ Abyss was storming down the aisle being led by Jim Mitchell and followed by a number of TNA’s security team…
AJ Styles stood his ground in the ring and was waiting for Abyss. Mike Tenay and Don West were both advising AJ Styles to get out of the ring even some of the fans looked concerned. Abyss stepped on to the ring apron only for AJ to bring the fight to Abyss. AJ with a baseball slide to Abyss’ feet which dropped Abyss of the ring apron and Abyss’ head bounced of the apron. AJ with a springboard shooting star press from inside of the ring to the outside landing on and flooring Abyss. AJ Styles landed right on Abyss’ chest AJ nailed Abyss with a number of shots before rolling back into the ring. Fans were going mental because AJ Styles had got the better of ‘The Monster’ Abyss.
Pay per View went off the air with security struggling to keep back a raging Abyss at ringside while AJ Styles stood tall in the middle of the ring challenging Abyss to a fight.
