Here's the deal, this is the absolute worst shape this board has ever been in. There is no moderation. If threads were just moved to the correct place as they should be then we wouldnt be in this situation. Now, we have rules for a reason. One, the main custom page is for customs figures only. Most people want to see custom figures. We have a customs accessories sub page for things like belts, rings and the like. We have fix up threads, discussion threads, and even rule threads.

I dont really ever comment on this stuff and sometimes I will even respond to the questions that get posted. In all reality, it is really annoying to see 20-30 question threads on the first 2-3 pages of the custom forum. It's also annoying to see WIP posts here too. WIPS are for the discussion thread unless accompanied by a completed custom. It is also really annoying for the new people to get defensive about their posts made in the wrong places. Most of the time nobody says anything to the poster, sometimes they do. Almost always the response is quit getting your panties in a wad over my question/fixup/wip/accessory, whatever the case may be. If we had some proper moderation those posts would just get moved without a comment or question.

So being new and not knowing the rules is fine, but dont get all snappy in response when somebody tells you you are posting in the wrong place. Also, a little nocer tone could be had by those telling the new posters as well.

This has always been a problem on the customs page, but as we are left pretty much unmoderated it had perpetuated into the way and order has been lost. We have to work together to keep things in order.

I also agree the fixup thread on the mattel page takes a lot away from here but at the same time it keeps a lot of junk from being posted here too.

All in all we need an active moderator. Hell, I'd take the good old fights we used to have over competitions over this mess.

there's even people posting their stages and arena as new threads in that board. theres already a thread for them. I agree with the op
the main board Is for CUSTOM FIGURES. each member should post all their work in a single thread. and Any accessories, rings or arenas go in the custom accessories board. I've even seen people ask for help when there's a board for that too!

the more you respond, the worse it makes you look. no one was saying you killed puppies, so chill the eff out.

To be honest I've always felt that CMD was/is far too strict, locking threads he deemed to not be "Real Customs" I do understand the whole "Stages & Arena's need to go in the sub-board where they belong" But i don't believe in the giving warning bars & banning people for posting in the wrong place. If the mod was doing his job(Which he hasn't in over a year, as you stated) it wouldn't be a problem as those posts would be moved to where they belong. I think this is how the custom board should work.

Custom's & Fix-ups are perfectly fine.

WIP Go into the " Custom Discussion Thread" If the post is made in it's own thread, that thread should be locked and the poster should get a "Warning PM"

Custom Arena's and other accessories(Belts, Clothes and all that good stuff) would belong in the.. You guessed it the "Custom Accessories Sub-Board"

If the admins would have me, I would be more then happy to be mod and help fix this board. because this is one of my favorites boards to view.

Though I don't post much, I am on here multiple times a day and would be willing to help out modding.
I would like to make this board exciting once again, whatever the result is.
I'd also like to see a stickied thread for other customs such as : Movies, Comics etc as Im sure there is a lot of guys hovering around with the skill but don't execute it on wrestling figures.
Another Idea I had was have a weekly Flashback showcase (like what angus did) but for past customisers like Rozz, Beyondo, Chinese Chicken, Famous J, Jay, Gate, ClassicDa's and even CMD which new members wouldn't have the opportunity of seeing.
