anybody else try the burgers from the frozen section at the grocery store? i am addicted to them, they are very delicious. i have never been to a white castle restarant, as there is none here in wisconsin, that i know of. thoughts welcome!
EDIT: there is one in kenosha, WI..... too damn far from me!!!

Never had a white castle burger, and also the restaurants aren't around me either. Are they like microwaveable?

to each their own spear guy, nothing wrong with that. BFG, the only ones i have tried are microwaveable, haven't been to the actual burger joint yet, once i do get to one, thats another check mark for the old bucket list, lol.

have a white castle 7 minutes from my house... love them... 10 jalepeno cheese burgers and a crappy horror movie make for a great night...

Oh yuck white castle.
I worked overnight at a grocery store when I was in High School. At 3 am every day we would all go on lunch. Sometimes we would eat out. At 3 am choices are very limited. One guy recomended white castle. I hated it.
I remember standing there watching them make the burgers. They put the mini meat patties on the grill, then they put onions on that, then they put the pickle quickly followed by the bun. Never once do they flip the meat. So it seems to me like it's raw on one side. And then the smell. Those have a unique funk to them. And then the taste, just horrible. I cant compare it to anything I've eaten before. I just was so disgusted by the taste.
And the absolute worst part is they cost as much as a burger at Mcdonalds or Burger King when the White castle burger is less than half the size.
The Chicken rings are ok and so are the cheese sticks are ok too but nothing special. White castle would be my absolute last choice as far as what to eat. I'd eat a cup noodle soup before I ate White Castle. I'd eat day old food before I ate fresh made white castle. I'd try some new exotic cuisine, like hindu, before I ate white castle.

sorry to hear about your white castle experience milincoln. i'm jelous of you gawd. there is only ONE white castle in wisconsin. makes me wish back in the day when i would get a season pass to six flags in illinois that i would have stopped at least once, damn my retardedness!!!

First time I ever had a White Castle burger was when I took the train from Sacramento, CA to Elko, NV to visit family when I was 13 or 14. Amazing little burgers.

Maybe that should tell you about the quality of Mcdonalds and Burger King lol I do have a few of the restraunts around by me and the are pretty good. We call them rat burgers around here and repeaters b/c the next day they end up repeating. Funny story i once was in the White Castle this lady ordered her meal swiped her debit card got her food never pushed debit or credit and left and byt he time the employee saw it she already left and stole the burgers lol |
