I really like how the game sounds and all of the potential it has, but I am weary of the price. I know if I get it then I will basically buy most of the figures and playsets that come out and I already have a ton of games next year that I am getting for the Xbox One.
The thought of a lion king set has me drooling though.

The fact that some reviews are saying how some content is seemingly cut in order to nickel and dime you is keeping me from getting this game. As in certain sections of each playset has to be unlocked by buying an additional character or how some collectibles within a playset can only be obtained after purchasing all the available characters for that playset.
It sounds like a great game for a kid or an avid Disney fan who is willing to pay those types of prices for some extra characters or content. But as an avid gamer who regularly buys new games I feel it wouldn't be a wise for all of the money it would take.

Pikmin 3, Game and Wario, Lego City Undercover, Lego Batman 2, New Super Luigi U, you get the point. I want to get this game badly, but I cant see myself getting these characters. Unless I think of it being a new "game" when I get the characters, I probably wont get myself to get the game sadly.

I can't wait to get the game on Friday. I plan on getting everything. Even if the game sucks, having Disney characters as figures in the same style is super awesome.

From what I've heard you can't use characters in playsets unless it's from their franchise. So if you get Jack when he comes out in October then you can only use him in toy box unless they bring out a Nightmare Before Christmas set down the road.

I understand they don't want you mixing the franchises. But, that would be a big appeal to me as a gamer to be able to do that and it would only add to the re playability. You know all of the characters are not going to get their own playset so it seems like a waste to me to pay $13.99 for a character you can only use in toy box mode. I think the price of most DLC is ridiculous, but they overpriced these things. But, again, people with OCD or children will buy them regardless of price. That being said, it seems like a really fun game, but I can see it being a very expensive hobby all of it's own.

I would love to play as Jack Skel. in Pirates with the other Jack. Buzz Lightyear in Incredibles, Mickey in Monsters University. Just for the hell of it.

After dropping $75 + tax on the starter set for Infinity, I don't see myself buying any of the supplementary characters in future- at least at ~$15 a pop (and more for the new story additions like Cars). So, do you think that these will be price reduced? I know this just launched, but this is an incredibly expensive concept and I don't know if parents will literally spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on this (and certainly not me). It's a smart business idea, but damn is it expensive.

I think you will see sales on them quite regularly. And parents are already spending hundreds on these. Disney is sitting on a gold mine with this product.

I thought series 1 had 20 power disks, so i bought the book to hold them. Then today i saw a new book, still says its series one and is for 30 disks. Had to grab it but why have two books for series one? Would rather be one definitive book per series.
