Absolutely love this game so far, The Incredibles playset was so much fun, I've not touched the MU set so far (and won't until I see the film). Pirates is also good so far (haven't done much of it yet). Toy Box seems like it's going to take a lot of getting used to, it's extremely overwhelming at the moment. I thought series 1 had 20 power disks, so i bought the book to hold them. Then today i saw a new book, still says its series one and is for 30 disks. Had to grab it but why have two books for series one? Would rather be one definitive book per series. Series 1 is made up of 20 discs, but there are 10 exclusive ones two TRU. People think that they'll be released as part of a future wave so they're kind of timed exclusives.

After dropping $75 + tax on the starter set for Infinity, I don't see myself buying any of the supplementary characters in future- at least at ~$15 a pop (and more for the new story additions like Cars). So, do you think that these will be price reduced? I know this just launched, but this is an incredibly expensive concept and I don't know if parents will literally spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on this (and certainly not me). It's a smart business idea, but damn is it expensive. Target had cars and Lone Ranger playsets at 17.50 each recently, tru had buy one get one half off, and this week single characters are 2 for 22 at tru this week. Keep eye out for sales.

I've kind of soured on the game. I LOVE the playsets and the hours you can spend in them, but the toybox doesn't do much for me. I have built a nit of a world, but it's not the same as having levels where challenges/obstacles aren't known to you.
I think I tried to compared it to Skylanders too much. I just got Swap Force today and spend 4 hours playing it....it's addicting haha.

I just got the Starter Pack for $13 and change from Wal-Mart yesterday. Huge price mistake. Excited to try it out. I would've never paid full price for it, but I couldn't exactly resist at that price.

My brother said his kids want this and are saving up for it - they have a long way to go.
I definitely would want to check this out if the prices weren't so freaking crazy. I don't need little figurines, I just want a fun game. Toy Box Mode in Toy Story was fantastic, but it was just a regularly priced game, no some crazy never ending physical DLC moneyfest.

Okay so I need some help...Someone please explain Disney Infinity for me. I've seen the ads for the last few months and know nothing about it. I picked up the new MU movie and it had a Mike Infinity figure with it so I'm curious. I have two boys (3 and 5) and my family are big into Disney. Basically explain it to me like I'm 5.
- How do you get new people/lands/etc - What are the figures for? - What do you exactly DO in the games?
Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance Basically it's a game made up of two different areas. The first is Toybox. Basically this is an open sandbox that you can create anything you want (think Minecraft). This includes building your own minigames like races or little sporty games like soccer. You can play this with up to 3 friends and you can use any of the characters that they've released in it. The other area are the playsets, which are essentially story driven games which give you a hub world and you complete missions in the world. If you've played Toy Story 3's toy box mode, you should get a good sense of what these are like. In these you can't mix and match characters. Meaning that you can't use the Toy Story characters in the Lone Ranger playset. When you purchase the game you get a portal that you sit the characters that you buy on to play as them (in either the toy box or the playstets).

I also noticed this different shaped discs - one was a basic circle the other looks like a hexagon. What are those?

Circular ones normally add effect gameplay (IE adding mounts), hexagonal ones are usually for changing the sky to different themes IE Nightmare Before Christmas.

So, people still playing this? Yep, I still need to play through the Cars and Toy Story playsets and I'm getting Mickey this week so I can't wait. Also need to get the Lone Ranger set and some of the other loose figures! I got a couple Power Discs and was really pleased that I got Mickey's Car AND Abu The Elephant in 1 pack.

Still waiting on a nice online sale, to grab more figures. Until then, I've completed all 3 starter pack stories.
Cars, Toy Story, Lone Ranger and Frozen are all actual campaigns... right?

Getting this for X-mas and way too excited. I'm hoping it continues to grow...down the road I'd like to see some Marvel, Muppets, and Star Wars characters.

Getting this for X-mas and way too excited. I'm hoping it continues to grow...down the road I'd like to see some Marvel, Muppets, and Star Wars characters. It's going to be a yearly release. Expect a DI2 announcement soon. The good news is that the games will be backwards and forwards compatible though. All the figs you have will work in DI 2's toybox, all the figs from DI 2 will work on the DI toy box. just picked it up on black friday and just opened it last night. playing with the jack sparrow from pirate set a little bit confused but i think im gettin it.... not exactly sure how the disc works yet thou...any hint that anyone can share sure be great. If you look in a post I made on this page, I explained how they work. The Incredibles set it the most fun out of the 5 playsets I have so far (haven't tried Lone Ranger yet). Still waiting on a nice online sale, to grab more figures. Until then, I've completed all 3 starter pack stories. Cars, Toy Story, Lone Ranger and Frozen are all actual campaigns... right? No, Frozen isn't. There are 6 -- Incredibles, Monsters, Pirates, Toy Story, Lone Ranger, Cars.
