well MDT refuses to change there Orton mold for whatever reason. Despite the fact his arms and body and getting larger by the week.
I think he's a pretty good wrestler. But lately he's stuck in a rut. It seems like when he's not happy he doesn't try very hard. He stops using new moves and stops changing up his trunks.
He hasn't done the Angle Slam......or that Gutwrench neckbreaker thing in forever. He rarely wears trunks with color anymore. Mostly just wears the all black...or black and greyish ones. Even tho he has a ton of trunks with color he could be wearing.
I think Orton holds himself back. He comes off as so bland and boring. But watching one of his DVD's....it seems he used to be a a crazy prick. But since he got sober he has pretty much tried to bury the old Orton and become lame.

Orton would without a doubt be in cena's spot right now, if he could keep himself out of trouble.
The guy is lucky he is so over with the fans, otherwise he would have been canned a long time ago. Its almost as if right now he is in the "jeff hardy" spot right now. I think he is going to have to tow the line in wwe for a good long while and then they will start to use him more.

Orton is on his last strike so they are afraid to push him at all so he will probably dwell in the midcard ranks for quite some time. Sheamus really should of fought Del Rio at Mania for the World heavyweight title. Swagger/Del Rio is probably the worst World Title match the company has ever made for a Mania. Sheamus fought Del Rio at 5378976334 consecutive pay-per-views last years. Nobody wants to see them fight each other ever again.

His figures IMO have all been very dull. If were talking about Randy Orton being a Heel though... its a much diffrent story. Randy is a hell of a heel.

I still like Orton alot. I think he's a great wrestler and a workhorse. Like it seems to be the case in many situations, he is just being used in a "filler" capacity .... generic babyface to be plugged in and out of generic babyface roles. I hope he's able to get the WWE's trust back and be used in a storyline with some depth and substance. He was the best thing going in late 07-most of 08.

Orton and Cena are generally shelf warmers in my area. Their figures are just too plain. The only Orton I have is the Superstar Entrances. I think Orton is a really good wrestler with a bland gimmick. He needs to turn heel again.

When I first saw this I thought you meant the greasy stuff on his figs like elite 9 and then went away like at elite 12!

Holy page stretch Batman!
Anyway, the only Orton I have is E12. Unfortunately, I have to get another Orton to build Teddy. I likely won't get another one unless the headscan is really good.

I can't deny how over Orton is, but the instant I hear his music hit, it's time for me to fast forward the DVR.

He's got a hell of a look. Years ago I really liked him. He's gotten older, he's in the doghouse and he's probably not got the 'hunger' that he used to. If WWE takes the chance of giving him a push, I could see that 'hunger' coming back. I mean, why put on 5 star matches for the same pay as a 2 star one?
As far as figures, with all the new parts they've introduced to the line, it makes the old mold (which used to be fine) look too skinny. When they started giving huge guns to Kofi, R-Truth, Morrison, Cody, and Ziggler is when the trouble all began.

Orton gets hate because his character has been bland for years and they refuse to change him. This. They need to do something new with him. Honestly, I rather see him killing legends again than what he is doing nowadays.

I could be wrong but I thought I read somewhere once that Orton himself isn't comfortable anymore with wearing different colour trunks and much prefers black trunks. So if you're only going to wear black trunks, then the only option you have is different coloured designs unfortunately.
However his character is bland as as bland can be. I used to like Orton but got completely turned off of the guy with his ridiculous snake-like taunts. The coiling, the slithering, the fist pounding - it's just too much and too stupid looking. You want to act like a snake? Take a page out of Jake Roberts play-book, slither under the ropes and sit in the corner before a match - way more effective.

Well for some reason I've been acquiring Randy Orton figures as of late. I'm up to 4 now and I'm looking to buy another one with the updated scan. So I would have to disagree with these statements. I really like the figures and I wouldn't mind a few of his older colored attires to go along with these. I'd like to have the All Stars elite figure, those tights are pretty cool.

Randy needs to be heel, it's just natural for him. He was one of the best heels in recent memory when he was a heel, he was good as a face for a while but quickly lost that steam

Ya Im just saying I thought that Del Rio/ Swagger was just a weak match selection, probably should of had Ziggler cash in that night or threw in some sort or surprise for the fans. I also dont think its a slight to Randy or Sheamus to be put with Big Show for a match against the Shield it was probably the only way to get all those guys on the card for the night. They did end up scrapping a match and several promos.

from my personal fan pov i enjoy orton and i know what he is capable of.. but hate seeing him as a boring babyface with his predictable spots ( quick powerslam, apron ddt, etc.)
i was hoping for him to turn heel @ mania and Lead the shield...
didnt happen, i asked a buddy of mine who is finishing rehabbing an injury and will return to wwe tv soon and he claims randy wants to just finish up his career within 3-5 years staying low- key and staying a "tuff" babyface... he travels by himself ( sumtimes with family) in an RV and has no interest in being involved in the " top spot.. he has serious neck and shoulder injuries and a great wife & kids...
this is probably why he just does the same shtick every week.. it gets a pop, and truth be told if u can get a pop from moving like a snake then why increase your chance of getting hurt...
bottom line is the best of Orton is OVER...

To me I think the only reason he's lost his steam as a wrestler is because they have him as a face. Orton is a much better heel and everyone knows that. It's time he does something to become heel again.
As a figure it's not that it's lost its steam its because they've made so many of him and he doesn't change his look. You can get a bearded orton and shaven faced orton and your good. I have one orton and that's all I want. He's not like orton who changes outfit colors 2 or 3 times a year.
