How to deal with Trolls?

ignore 'em. if they start PMing ya, report 'em. don't feed the trolls after midnight. also keep them away frrom bright light and water.

very true. i mean hell, can't starve the poor guy. never looked at it from that point of view. now i fear for the lil' guy

Depends on what you define as trolling. I got banhammered from another forum for pointing out to a mod that the argument "corporations are evil" is the exact same argument as "guns kill people" because in both cases you are ascribing a moral stance to an inanimate argument. I argued that the people behind the corporation may be evil the same way the person holding the gun might kill someone. The mod replied by simply saying that they're not the same and that was the final word. When I asked why they were the same, I was banned for trolling. So it really depends.

Report them, and don't reply. That's it. Ignore them long enough and they generally get bored.

sometimes, it is best to type out your response and re-read it a few times. try to see if anyone can take a shot at you from what you posted. if you think someone is gonna say something, just dont post.


alot of people bring things onto them selves for poorly thought out responses that are really just bait for trolls.

Dude, I have actually been here for nearly a decade (I left in 2009 and came back) If I worried about every person who thought ill about me or quoted me on something I said I would have over a million posts and probable a warning bar. But I don't reply to people who aren't sensible. Just ignore them if they PM you. Delete it. I find it funny actually, I love when people blow up over a comment I made. Vince McMahon once said "any press is good press" so just don't worry over it. We're all kinda friends that make up a wrestling community, so it's all good man.
