This is from the latest Outside the Ring on Youtube, where Foley shot the cover for his DVD. He is in a secret WWE warehouse, where Punk went when shooting his DVD. You can get a better view of the blue attired guy, still can't tell who it is though.

That's a person, the black part are his legs trousers and blazer. You can see his hand on the rope also. I'd say it's either Bearer or an Announcer. There's a man outside of the ring holding his cape. Yeah Anvil's got it. Sorry for not being clear there alexgg, I can see how you got confused.

Taker was billed as Cain the Undertaker in his TV debut taped before Survivor Series. They actually used the Kane name on more than one occasion for TV. Very cool stuff man! thanx for sharing!

Now that we are talking about Kane, do you remember his long sleeve outfit and how many times he used it? (I mean the one the undertaker used during the ministry story line)

(I mean the one the undertaker used during the ministry story line) He he started using it at King of the Ring, when he faced Austin, because he was going to set himself on fire if he lost. I think he then back and forth a couple times, because when he and Mankind lost the tag titles to Austin and Taker at Fully Loaded he had the two sleeves. Summer Slam 98 when he attacked Mankind after the Tag Title loss the Outlaws, he was back to one sleeve, and then Breakdown when he and Undertaker faced Austin, it was two sleeves.

That's just a sketch, isn't it? I don't think that's an actual photograph. It may have just been an early drawing back from when they were first coming up with the idea for the Kane character. That's my theory behind it, at least.

Do you think they still put this much work into concept art of characters?

Do you think they still put this much work into concept art of characters? The problem is that they don't put ANY work into characters. Everybody has the same generic heel or face gimmicks these days with nothing that separates one guy from another.

I kinda like the cape. Makes him look like a comic book villain.

Amazing both Undertaker and Kane original had something different added to their character than we come to know (Undertaker as "Kane" and Kane with the cape). Both were gone by their next pay per view appearance. Undertaker had a little more time between being named Kane and Royal Rumble while Kane had no cape at Survivor Series only a month after Badd Blood. The Kane name must have stuck for a bit in the magazines as I remember a magazine like Wrestling Eye or PWI or something mentioning his name as Kane. It may have been written around January or February 1991 for WrestleMania time as it listed some of the WrestleMania card.
I wonder what Kane would have been called if Undertaker had never dropped the Kane name.

I'm glad things turned out the way they did.

The development and evolution of both Kane and The Undertaker is absolutely fascinating.
