He has definitely made WWE worse for me. His WWE Championship reign was a joke.
I don't hate him... but I just don't want him around if he's not going to be doing anything...

The cRock sucks.
-He doesn't hardly ever show up. -He never wrestles on TV. -ALL his promos are the same. -His matches are boring and he sucks at wrestling. -He doesn't deserve any of what he gets now. -He lost to Punk about 8 times, but since he's Vince's personal ass kisser, they don't count it as a lose.
But he does to one thing GREAT... Kissing Vince McMahon's ass. He's a pretty good ass kisser, always was and still is.

I remember when I was a little kid and would always "millions and millions" "finally" "if you smell what the rock is cookin". I loved the Rock. But then that no good SOB WALKED OUT, sold out, for more money. No appearance in EIGHT YEARS, then comes back for what, five matches. Then he whines and complains cause he loses to Cena. Lies about his injury just so he doesn't have to wrestle again. Oh yeah, what about him not even carrying the WWE belt anywhere he goes that is not related to WWE, or how about him not mentioning the WWE on the tonight show. I have lost all respect for the rock, he cam back for MONEY, not for the fans. If you asked me this 10 years ago, I would say he was the greatest, ask me this today, he is the worst. I LOL'd at this post. First of all he never complained about losing to Cena.......Second he really was injured....Third he had so much money before returning to WWE, why would he risk his health for money he doesn't need? I haven't been on the boards long, but one thing I notice is that you sure need to make sure you are right about EVERYTHING. I could say it is sunny, and you would say it is rainy. The Rock is faking his injury. You need surgery to repair what he has torn, but no, "the rock is to strong to let this get in the way, the rock is going to bring it to the gym and train harder than ever" (a typical stupid rock i am impersonating). The Rock can train in the gym, and film an ACTION movie, but can't have his rematch with Cena. Hmmm, can't throw a few fake punches, or fall down about three feet, but you can train hard in the gym and film an action movie, sure Rock, all his fans can keep eating up his fruity pebble lies.

One of the best of all time. Deserved all he ever had. This thread will easily turn to a Rock bashing thread full of people slinging around bullsh** like its fact. I have lost all respect for the rock, he cam back for MONEY, not for the fans. If you asked me this 10 years ago, I would say he was the greatest, ask me this today, he is the worst. -He left wrestling because he had another passion and didn't want to over stay his welcome like so many others in this business have. He wanted to separate his two lives and from what I hear Vince didn't ask him back. -When did he complain about losing to Cena? His whole reason for coming back was a long build to put over Cena. -He is going in for surgery next week. You have no evidence to support this whole "fake injury" claim everyone is spouting out. Wrestles suffer some pretty serious injuries all the time and don't have surgery. -"He is just here for the money" is officially the most idiotic thing repeated on this site. People can't seem to grasp that the guy is so rich that it doesn't make a difference to him. Hell he is risking his real job each time he gets into the ring.

A lot of people, like myself, will like him. He was brilliant during the Attitude Era, and his runs since leaving full time in 2001 have always been entertaining.

HOW are some people still believing the 'fake injury' thing?
yeah it's odd that he went back to training with only a few days rest but you've got to remember the Rock is a beast (...and maybe, probably, definitely on some kind of juice)

When I started watching wrestling, The Rock was pretty much on his way out of the WWE and into the world of Hollywood movies. Rock had his match with Hogan at No Way Out, his match with Austin at WrestleMania XIX, and put over the newly signed Goldberg at Backlash. I've watched quite a bit of The Rock's material from his prime to come to conclude that had I been a wrestling fan in the Attitude Era, I would have been a fan of The Rock. Rock was very charismatic and had great matches with the likes of Foley, Angle, Taker, Austin, and HHH. When he came back to the WWE back in 2011, I was excited and glad that he came back and that it wasn't via satellite, he was there in the flesh in a WWE Ring. Add to the fact that he even wrestled a couple of big matches since coming back, what more could any wrestling fan ask for. However, since coming back, I haven't been entertained that much by The Rock. It could simply be that I wasn't able to watch Rock when he was still around, maybe I've out-grown the types of promos he cut, maybe he doesn't cut the same promos anymore, I'm simply not entertained. I didn't like the fact that Rocky had to be the one to end the impressive Title reign of CM Punk. His matches with Punk were somewhat entertaining in my opinion, while his matches with Cena were watchable at best. I have great respect for The Rock for coming back for the WWE fans, giving WWE some exposure and even wrestling, knowing full well that it could danger his Hollywood career. I honestly would have preferred The Rock being used in the capacity of a Stone Cold, where he would occasionally show up on Raw, cut a promo, maybe even through a Rock Bottom/People's Elbow to appease the people. That's my opinion on The Rock.

The Rock is my all time favorite I was lucky enought to watch him since his NOD run.

The Rock? Yes.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson? No.
By The Rock, I mean anything before his comeback.

Amazing, Shawn Michaels is my favorite but The Rock is in my top 5. Everyone here would still love him if he didn't come back.

You'll find a lot of people here disliking him because it's the "cool" thing to do. That and he never competed in ROH.
I for one, am glad for any amount of time he spends entertaining us.

I respect him, and I'm a fan of what he did in the Attitude Era, but he came off as a smug bunghole after his return.

I can see how younger people who didn't watch wrestling during the Monday Night Wars would dislike The Rock. But for those of us who remember watching young Rocky Maivia evolve into The Rock, he'll always be one of the all-time greats.
When Bischoff/WCW pretty much bought up all of WWE's talent, it was left up to the young guys to step up to the plate and grab the spotlight - and a few guys did. Stone Cold, Mankind, Undertaker, DX, and The Rock, and a few others all went from being nobodies/jobbers to outright main attractions because they had no other choice - and it was awesome to watch all that unfold over that great five-year period from about 1995 - 2000.
Those guys saved WWE - had it not been for them (with Vince McMahon's leadership), WCW probably would have put WWE out of business... then what would you all be complaining about?
It was a great time to be a wrestling fan - might not happen again in our lifetime. So The Rock will always have a special place in wrestling.
The Rock evolved so much, he became bigger than wrestling - he actually did what no other wrestler in history could do (Hogan, Austin) - become a REAL movie star.
Wrestling is a grueling, painful, hard business to work in - I don't think anyone on this board would choose to be a professional wrestler if they had offers from Hollywood coming in.
Work a few months out of the year, have stunt doubles to the physical hard work, and make millions - OR walk into cold arenas every night in your underwear, with a bunch of idiot fans cussing at you, risk injury nightly, get on a plane and travel to the next city and do it again the next day - for substantially less money.
I'll accept The Rock back whenever he wants to come around - I blame WWE Creative for not using him right.
