I always had a hard time with the controls myself as well..it indeed takes practice,..but i used to watch CPU controlled bouts.. those could be damned entertaining. Battle royals were fun as well. I remeber rikishi getting a critical and just layed in the ring throught the rest of the battle royal lol

Is there a way to download rosters from users on the psn network? Depends if the Save is formated for the PSN version or not. I would imagine if the save file is already in the PSN format, you could save it and copy it into the Playstation 2 Memory Card area. I'm not sure if that will need a USB drive plugged in or not. I'm kind of late to the party, but I loved FPW and FPW 2 on my Game Boy Advance. Had no idea that this came out, so had to pick it up. And of course, first thing I did was find the most recent Roster save online that I could. It was a little bit of hassle, but worth it. For anyone curious or unaware, there's a few tools online you can use to convert a PS2 save file to a PSN save file, and then overwrite the save file you have on your PS3. I'll agree on the controls, which are taking a little bit to get used to. I'm so used to mashing buttons that taking my time is taking a little bit. Plus I've completely forgotten how to play, so moves that require you to hit more than one button at a time are tasking. Also weird not to have any bars or indicators when you're in a submission or being pinned. Much like the last two versions I've played, I'm sure with practice makes perfect. Plus the inclusion of the Gruesome Fights (aka MMA) and Kickboxing is pretty cool and something I'm sure I'll enjoy more when I have the buttons down.

That was the mindset I had when I started playing Firepro, and now, it's one of my all time favorite wrestling games if not my very favorite. I'd recommend checking out guides on the internet for Beginners. They will get you started on all the info, then you just have to practice timing the grapples and the strikes (which are tricky but I got really good with them, I find the best way to get used to them is by doing Gruesome Fighting). Also, keep in mind that when you play the game in HD there is a very minor lag (like Guitar Hero/Rockband), so if you are reading a guide and are playing it on a HDTV, remember that the person who made the guide probably played it in SD therefore their timing advice would be slightly off for you because there isn't lag on SDTVs.
