Apparently Chelsea paid £16m, Lpool weren't willing to go that high. Not long to get a replacement. Kevin Phillips said yesterday that we are in the 'first half of the window'. What planet is he on? The first 3 weeks of the window seem to have slipped by unnoticed. He probably meant it as most deals don't happen until the last week thus meaning we're kind of half way through.

Looks like west ham may be wrapping up loan deals for borriello and nocerino. Borriello seems decent, nocerinos good on fifa but cant say ive ever watched him play, cant be any worse than diame on current form

I don't think any signing is going to save United's season.

Getting comical now. Stole Willian from Spurs and now Salah from Liverpool. Wouldn't even say Salah was any better than De Bruyne if I'm honest, but for £13,000,000 I guess it's not a bad deal. Mata was supposed to be heading to Liverpool as well. Didn't yous steal Cahill from under the noses of someone too?

Cardiff have agreed a straight swap with Stoke for Kenwyne Jones, with Peter Odemwingie going the other way.
Not a huge fan of Jones but so glad Odemwingie is off. He's been atrocious.

Glad that is finalised, another midfielder before the window is shut would be good, Rooney signing a new contract would be a signing in itself.

He was the only Chelsea player I already followed - only one I liked tbh. I've followed Luke Shaw in the hopes he comes to us

Rooney just loves tearing United a new one. Done this plenty of times, I'd have punted him a long time ago.

He always gets us at the perfect moment. When we were weak in 2010 and when changing to a new manager in 2013. If he'd pulled this sh*t in 2011 or 2008 he would've been gone.
He doesn't deserve 300k p/w for his talent. He'll get it because for some reason he is one of the most marketable players in the world and sells a lot of shirts. And we need him atm...

Yevhen Konoplyanka to Liverpool looks a tidy bit of business. Don't know an awful lot about him, but he seems exactly the kind of player needed and will fit their system well. New owners throwing the money about a bit more than I thought they would tbh.

It's his age that makes the whole thing ridiculous to me. He's coming up to 29, so he'll be 33/34 and still on £300,000 a week if he's still there by then. If there's any Player that's made himself bigger than the Club it's him. Blackmailed saying he was going to City and Fergie gave him a new contract, now with all this talk of United's ambition and going to Chelsea, he's wormed his way into a £300,000 a week deal. But like you said, United just aren't in the position to be able to let him go, especially to a rival. As much as I'd love us to go and sign Diego Costa today, I'm pretty sure Jose's saving the big Striker signing for the Summer. Wouldn't be surprised if we sealed the deal for Zouma today though. Looks like Wenger's bottled the Draxler transfer then.

Will be heading to Craven Cottage to see Holtby in a Fulham shirt, hopefully his loan move will develop him further and he comes back to Spurs improved.

This deadline day is sending me to sleep, hopefully it'll hot up later in the day with some unexpected ones.
Overall pleased with our business. Got a left back in Alonso really early, a back up keeper and happy we've managed to get Bridcutt in from Brighton which of course Poyet knows all about.
