In the face of Ryback's latest attempt to challenge the company
top spot, The "Beast Incarnite" being locked in a cage with a man who could be his cerebral predator, & for the first time in decades, a three way dance between three proud amateurs turned pro for the world's championship, I thought of an interesting match to include on the card.
The strongest man that Texas ever bore & a Gaurdian of the Irish skies...
Sheamus & Henry have never touched in a singles match on television, much less a full blown rivalry. And with Sheamus' MOTY candidate against Big Show at HIAC last year(not to mention one of the three longest WHC reigns in WWE history) he is more than qualified as a true contender against one of the modern era's consummate Superheavys.
Now, I know this isn't exactly DX/Taker vs Shield, but these two men draw & much of the foundation storyline wise is already in place. Both characters have shorts fuses so just a sneak attack from each is enough to give them reason for ramming heads.
The reason I suggest this match is because one of the greatest live matches I've ever seen(Mind you I've seen an Elimination Chamber & two World title changes in person) was this very pairing in a street fight as the main event of a pre-WMXXVIII Smackdown! house-show. The brawled like gold & Sheamus played the power game against Mark astoundingly.
The entire 22-minute war had the full 11,000+ crowd invested in this clash of former primary champions.
So anyone out there think this could make for an intriguing undercard match or is this simply not as fascinating as say, Cesaro stealing the US title back & challenging Barrett to a Champion vs. Champion match? Or having the undercard be a 16 team tourney for Hell No's titles feat. Rhodes Scholars, PTPlayers, 2/3 of 3MB, Usos, Tons of Funk, Orton & Sheamus, Big Show/Henry, Ryder/Khali, Jericho/Fandango (Creul act of Vicke & Maddox the night of) & eight other throw togethers. Possibly even a Rey-Cara reunion for all I know.
Your thoughts, but please nothing overly insulting.
