Chris Evans is one of my favourite actors & I was really pleased when he got the role of Cap & whilst I've always said Evans embodies the role of Steve Rogers very well & is great as Cap, when they do the inevitable switch to Bucky, I won't mind because I also like Sebastian Stan as well & I'm interested / intrigued to see his take on the role of Captain America. Hopefully 2 or 3 more stints as Winter Soldier though before the change as there is so much more to explore with that character.
And, who knows, hopefully, if they go with the 'death' of Rogers story but then finally reveal he is alive, maybes they can get Evans to come back after taking his break from acting to do 1 or 2 more films as Cap again & then make the switch to Mackie, that would be perfect. Perhaps one of those films could be centred around the Secret Avengers story, so the movie would show / explain where Rogers was during the time of supposedly being dead.
Rogers, Bucky & Falcon all getting their Captain America appearances in the MCU would be great!

This has a been a great year for Marvel. Cap 2 came out and became my favorite movie they had done... Then we got Guardians. Man,I loved that movie. And I know people have been negative to the after credits scene, but I loved it! I can't wait for next year's films and Guardians 2. I forgot to even mention the after credits scene. I loved it as well. Not what I was expecting, but hilarious none the less. I think it was as much a nod to the 80's tone of Guardians and the long standing joke of that character and film, more than anything else. So, I laughed all the way through to the end. The scene went over plenty of heads though from what I could tell. I heard plenty of people ask who it was, which made me feel old haha. I don't think it had any bearing on future Marvel films and I think that's what most people were expecting. Which they honestly shouldn't have been, knowing that Guardians was a huge gamble by Marvel imo. I think All of the characters will be involved in Guardians 2, but the scene itself didn't really lead to much, unless rumors about that cocoon in the background prove true. And I very much hope they do. I was expecting a scene with Ultron. Actually, I was sort of expecting a specific scene from the SDCC description. But I was not at all disappointed with what we got. I'm seeing the movie again tomorrow. My mom was at work Saturday, so I'm taking her. I'm really looking forward to seeing it again.

I think with Guardians being an unknown property to the general audience & non comic book readers, they probably didn't want to chance an end credit that lead to the future of the MCU, but if they had have had more confidence (And they should have known really it was gonna be a hit), I would have preferred the end credit to be for Adam Warlock, Nova or both.
At least now we know Gunn will probably try to come up with an amazing end credit scene for GOTG 2.

Well, Gunn confirmed that the Cocoon in GotG was Adam Warlock and that the orb was the Power Gem.

Well, Gunn confirmed that the Cocoon in GotG was Adam Warlock and that the orb was the Power Gem. Not that we really needed it confirmed seeing as we all pretty much knew at the end of Thor: TDW what it was. But seeing as it had already been introduced there, they could have gone with Adam popping out of it as the end credit for this movie, I would have preferred that more than HTD & Cosmo, BUT, if Cosmo makes it on the team, then at least it wasn't a total throw away end credit.

I really do hope the Guardians do end up in The Avengers 3 It might not be A3 but we'll certainly see a GOTG/Avengers crossover soon enough. They'd be fools to pass up that gold mine. I just PRAY it happens while RDJ, Hemsworth and Evans are still on board. If I don't get to see Pratt and company interact with that cast I will be sorely disappointed. Edit: I don't think I've said this here yet but if I had one issue with GOTG it would be Yondu/Rooker looking like really bad Photoshop.

Sony has absolutely no clue what they are doing. If they've cancelled TASM3 to make way for this then shame on them. The studio didn't feel that TASM2 lived up to their expectations, now is the opportunity to correct that. Forget Spider Woman and the Sinister Six and focus on making an epic Spidey movie...and this is coming from someone who didn't hate the other two.

I want them all or none of them. I'm sure Quill would be great on his own but I could not imagine an Avengers/GOTG crossover without Rocket and Stark getting into it, or Drax and Hulk, basically any combination of Rocket,Quill and Drax interacting with Stark, Cap and Hulk would be automatic gold. Even seeing the Avengers react to Groot would be awesome. Theres so much that can come from the crossover. I just hope we don't get a half assed crossover. It is Guardians of the Galaxy. Not Starlord ft. The Guardians of the Galaxy.

If they don't wrap up the 'Thanos/Infinity Gauntlet' story by Avengers 3.. I might start losing interest, honestly.. The Avengers 3 has to be Thanos vs. Stark (Downey), Captain America (Evans), Thor (Hemsworth), Hulk (Ruffalo), Fury (Jackson), Star-Lord (Pratt), Gamora (Zaldana), Drax (Batista), with Rocket and Groot.. With possibly Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Quicksilver (Taylor Johnson), Scarlett Witch (Olsen), Falcon (Mackie), Rhodes (Cheadle), Ant-Man (Rudd), and Maria Hill (Smulders). For me, 75% of the above has to happen for me to really be interested AND invested in The Avengers 3.. It sounds like I'm asking for alot, but this is exactly what Marvel Studios has been teasing.. A giant crossover ensemble finale. If they don't plan on wrapping up their trilogy with a giant crossover ensemble finale.. They need to stop creating a MCU. Because without the ultimate payoff, everything they are doing is completely pointless in my eyes.. And they'd lose a giant fan. They shouldn't try to prolong the inevitable.. And start switching actors and characters and directors... Believe it or not this Marvel Studios comic movie boom has a window.

This is the exact point I was bringing up a few pages back and how there is still 5 years left on their development timeline and who knows where all these actors will be when that time comes. We've spent the past few years investing ourselves in Downey, Hemsworth, Evans, etc. as the current Avengers crew. Disappointed would be an understatement if this isn't the team that battles and takes down Thanos. While I get that there have been tons of "Avengers" combinations over the years, these are the ones that started it and these are the ones I want to finish it.

I actually loved both ASM and ASM2 - but things are getting SO ed up in the Spidey-verse. Sinister Six, Venom/Carnage, and now this? Is Spider-Man even going to make appearances in any of them? You would think he has to in Sinister Six atleast. Ugh, they should just have done Sinister Six for ASM3, and Venom for ASM4 - maybe stretch Venom into ASM5, with Carnage being added. There is no need for all these damn spin-offs. I actually read a rumor that Stone could return in ASM3 as Mary Jane... I don't believe it, but that would be weird as , if true.

And start switching actors and characters and directors... Believe it or not this Marvel Studios comic movie boom has a window. This cannot be liked/agreed with enough. If I see The Guardians and Avengers on screen together it needs to be the FULL Guardians and current Avengers. Evans, Downey and Hemsworth specifically. All have stated they don't want to play those roles much longer but god damn it with the exception of Hemsworth they ARE those characters to me now. Replacing RDJ might be the most impossible thing in the MCU. They can cast anyone they want there and it won't work. That line of "I am Iron Man" at the end of IM3 might as well have been RDJ talking instead of Stark. Ruffalo is great as well but his character doesn't have as much depth as the rest for obvious reasons. But now we have TWO groups that are basically flawless and have amazing chemistry. They need to meet with these casts. It would be a box-office gold mine and pretty much be the default greatest comic book movie of all time. Downey as Stark Evans as Cap Hemsworth as Thor Ruffalo as Banner Jackson as Fury Pratt as Quill Cooper as Rocket Batista as Drax Saldana as Gamora Diesel as Groot.......okay I'm kidding with that one. He could but shouldnt be replaced. Johansen and Renner are overlooked in Avengers (Thought the same for Gamora in GOTG, it was kind of like "This is thanos' daughter. You care about her now") and I'd assume A2 is much of the same with QS and SW coming in so they aren't necessary. Same goes for Mackie, Cheadle, Smoulders, etc. But those 9 listed NEED to be in one film together. Weather its A3 (which it should be) or not I don't care.
