after seeing IM3 I gotta give the nod to Thor II PURELY because its next up. IM3 getting 195 million on its opening weekend internationally must be a HUGE boost for Marvel.Im really interested to see how it does when it opens in the US this weekend. Do you think Iron Man 3 will beat, or at least meet the Avengers at the box office? Really promising opening looks that way. I watched Thor again yesterday, I am so pumped for The Dark World. well its already beaten Avengers opening international weekend by 10 million(it opened with just shy of 185)so its looking pretty good.plus it already seems to be a darling with the critics & has excellent word of mouth. I loved it.some will despise at least one aspect of it but I understand why it was done.

Today, I picked up The Thanos Imperative graphic novel. I'm only a 1/4 way through but it's totally secured my faith in Guardians of the Galaxy. Also, whichever film he appears in first, be it Guardians or the Avengers, if Gunn and Whedon use this as some source material, we're in for a treat!

Iron Man 3 was terrible & such a dud of a movie, but I digress. It's definitely soured me for Phase 2 a bit because I usually have nothing but praise or how good things are from Marvel Studios & rip on Fox & Sony/Colombia for the liberties they take with the Marvel properties & then Marvel Studios goes & takes a Fox or Sony like approach to one of their own movies, seriously can't believe they kicked off Phase 2 like that, but, nothing we can do now. I'm just hoping stupid decisions & silly little mistakes are not going to be made with future Phase 2 releases, especially Captain America: The Winter Soldier as Captain America is my tied top favourite hero along with Wolverine & I loved Ed Brubaker's run on Cap, so hopefully they stick to the source material on that one. I know RDJ's contract is up now on what films he appears in, but hopefully they sort it so we can have a quick 5 / 10 minute cameo in The Winter Soldier because there is a few panels / scenes in the comic where Iron Man, Cap & Falcon break into a facility & have a battle & I think that would look extremely awesome on the big screen & I'd really like that incorporated into the movie. I voted for Cap on the list, BUT, Cap, Guardians & Avengers 2 are all tied for my most anticipated movies to see. Thor 2 is just behind them because that trailer is bad ass! Yeah, if Whedon & Gunn are smart (Which they are & are two directors I fully trust & have faith in) then they will use material from the Thanos Imperative, Infinity Gauntlet & Annihilation. Guardian's will be a surprising big hit with the right kind of trailer & kids & adults alike are gonna just LOVE Rocket Racoon, mark my words, that CGI or Motion Captured little Bastard is gonna get as much love as RDJ as Iron Man! Bring on the Rocket! Drax & Thanos have to go Toe to Toe on the big screen & we need us some Nova as well! Apparently, it is floating around that Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver are going to be added to the roster in Avengers 2, that makes it a whole new ball game & Wanda could be needed ever so much against the threat from Thanos.

Personally, I don't think it's a sign of things to come for Phase 2. I think it's a horrible mix of Shane Black and the 'third movie curse'. At least I hope so, anyway.

I'm hoping that is the case also, it just baffles me though that with Whedon over seeing things for Phase 2 & Feige seemingly knowing his Sh*t, that neither of them stopped, looked at Black & said to him WTF is this Sh*t & didn't put a stop to it! I don't just mean the big twist either, but, when you think about the gaps between the Marvel films, Iron Man 3 is supposed to be a year after the events of Avengers, in one year, Tony has built 40 Fu*king armours in ONE YEAR! PLEASE! And everything his armours withstood in Iron Man, Iron Man 2 & Avengers, the newer & later models in Iron Man 3 break far more easier at the slightest touch! The Mark 7 can take a Hammering & Scratches / Beatings / Lightening from Thor & Aliens, yet the later armours touched by people at 3000 degrees or whatever & they melt or break or are damaged by Trucks hitting them, Sorry Mr. Black, not having it! Just F*ck off & do one! It's like the man has no common sense in his head & didn't even take anything into account from previous Marvel films, even the small reference to the events from Avengers & Tony supposedly going off his rocker were weak! Pure Shane Black ignorance!

I wasn't that concerned, it seemed like he knew how to handle action and the slight amount of comedy that usually pops up in a Marvel movie. Then when I saw the MARVEL logo and Blue by Eiffel 65 begin to play, I thought 'oh shit'. I also hated how they didn't make a big deal out of Tony when he had the arc reactor removed. Feige and Whedon are constantly praising this movie, so they're obviously okay with it, unless they're just kidding themselves and they know that because of the Avengers, they could wrap crapin silver and people would buy it. I hope they haven't become too complacent. I think Alan Taylor is going to save Marvel this year.

I may be in the minority but I have NO desire to see Scarlet Witch or Quicksilver.Im not a fan of either and because Magneto is tied up securely at Fox and(even though they are characters both studios can use)I cant see them being able to mention their backstory and even if they are.......without the use of Magneto/X-characters that to me is 1 million percent useless.
give me Black Panther,Sub Mariner,Ms Marvel,She Hulk etc etc etc etc etc before these two.theres tons of excellent Marvel peeps to explore with these two.

I wasn't that concerned, it seemed like he knew how to handle action and the slight amount of comedy that usually pops up in a Marvel movie. Then when I saw the MARVEL logo and Blue by Eiffel 65 begin to play, I thought 'oh crap'. I also hated how they didn't make a big deal out of Tony when he had the arc reactor removed. Feige and Whedon are constantly praising this movie, so they're obviously okay with it, unless they're just kidding themselves and they know that because of the Avengers, they could wrap crap in silver and people would buy it. I hope they haven't become too complacent. I think Alan Taylor is going to save Marvel this year. See, I actually found that a little funny & seeing as it was set to when they were going back to 1999, I didn't mind that & thought that was something that actually worked well, but not one AC/DC track anywhere throughout, come on. I still don't know why they went with the arc reactor removal, if it was that easy to remove the shrapnel the way they did, why didn't he just get that done at the end of Iron Man or at the beginning or end of Iron Man 2? Well, Feige & Whedon aren't gonna tell you a film is Sh*t now are they or put you off going to see it, that's not how you sell a movie, but I think they are both lying in praising this film & deep down, I hope they are both thinking on how they are going to put this right or to make sure that they don't mess up on this scale again with future Marvel movies. That's exactly my thought, they have the audience now, they've seen the other solo movies, they've seen Avengers the movie will have ticket sales off that alone so they've let their guard down on keeping the standards up here. Well, I'm loving what I'm seeing from the Thor TDW Trailer so far, so I'm hoping & expecting Alan Taylor to blow it out of the park, but because of Iron Man 3, I'm now worrying for all the movies, even though I do expect Gunn to deliver & Whedon to deliver again.

Apparently Quicksilver and The Scarlet Witch have been written into Avengers 2 on the condition that Magneto or any mutants are not mentioned.

I don't think we have a reason to worry about Thor. The only thing that may knock it slightly for the casual fans is that apart from the beginning and end, the whole movie takes place on Asgard and the nine realms. Which I'm really happy about. I think this is going to be an epic Game of Thrones style movie. Alan Taylor is well suited and his production quality is superb. He's worked on Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire and True Blood for HBO, do I think Thor is in safe hands? You can count on it. Same with James Gunn, he seems quite 'out there' and I think that's what Guradians of the Galaxy needs to be to set it totally apart from the other Marvel properties while still staying within the MCU world.

Breaking: Marvel Studios aquires the rights to The Punisher, Blade, Ghost Rider & Daredevil
Marvel has once again reacquired the rights to Ghost Rider, The Punisher, Blade, and more recently, Daredevil.
President of Production at Marvel Studios Kevin Feige commented on the acquisition in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.
"Whenever a character comes back to us, it's usually because the other studios don't want to make the movies anymore - and that usually means the [previous] movies may not have been particularly well-received. They all have potential, but we're not going to say 'We got it back - make it.'
Ghost Rider, The Punisher and Blade are some of the most violent characters in the Marvel world. So the fact that they are owned by Disney will make reboots of the films or entrance into phase two or three a very unlikely possibility. They are more likely to be licensed back out to other studios. Only the time will tell what will happen.
-- I'm fully expecting Disney to license Ghost Rider, The Punisher and Blade to other studios but now that there's a chance we may finally see a Daredevil movie done the right way...I'm excited!!

quite frankly as long as
1)Nic Cage isn't in it it 2)isn't played for laughs 3)nic cage isn't in it
it is guaranteed to be better.Cage was WAY too old to be Blaze but that was only one of the problems...and GR doesn't have to be some R-Rated movie.....it could easily pass at 12A.

I'd like to see someone like Michael Pitt cast as GR. Someone who is a little less known but is a great actor.
