I personally thought Agents of Shield was amazing. It looked way expensive though. I just hope they're able to keep it up to par with such a big budget.

I have to say, with all these movie and TV show tie ins seems to me like Marvel has done something unprecedented. By doing this really gets you hyped up for whatever they have in store for us in the future. It's truly amazing, I just wish DC would get their sh*t together and do the same. Sure they would be copying Marvel's strategy, but I could care less. As long as it was done right I would be really happy. And I know it will never happen but a Marvel vs. DC movie done right would probably be the greatest thing ever. Oh well, I'm just satisfied with the way Marvel has been handling their productions.

So various movie/comic book sites are now starting to post info from their visits to the set of The Dark World last year. Here are some snippets of the most exciting stuff -
The film takes place a year and a half after the first film and after the events of The Avengers.
The film starts on Earth and shows some kids dealing with an issue affecting the larger universe. This “singularity” is changing the rules of the universe and it will come into play throughout the story.
We’ll see the dungeons of Asgard, where a lot of the film takes place, including a prison break (by the Marauders). We also get to see Loki locked up.
The film depicts the aftermath of The Avengers and the audience will get to see how the Asgardian community reacts.
There’s a whole scene dedicated to whether Loki feels regret for any of his actions from Thor or The Avengers. (Cannot wait to see this)
The Marauders are from outside the nine realms and they banded together to become space pirates.
The film features many locations including the training grounds of Asgard, the streets of Asgard, a pub (on Asgard), the Observatory (which is being rebuilt), the throne room, the hall of science, an Asgard skiff, the outskirts of Asgard, the dark elves ships, and many more.
The dark elves pull themselves through space rather than push. To do this they use captured black holes.
In the Hall of Science on Asgard we’ll see models of the big bang and a large tree (which might be the tree of life). We’ll see the nine realms floating around the tree.
The seeds of future movies are definitely planted in the sequel.
We’ll see Odin on Earth.
Joss Whedon gave his seal of approval to the story but they were still hoping he’d do a pass on the script.
-- It would appear that Alan Taylor has totally nailed this movie. I think this could very well be the most impressive Marvel movie to date.

I'm not going to get the chance to see this movie, I'm going to die of excitement before it even arrives. I can honestly say that I've never been so excited for a movie in all my life.

Apparently Agents of Shield lost 34% of their audience between episodes 1 and 2. That is really not good, carries on, it won't get a full season on tv before being cancelled

Happens a lot from premier to the second episode though. Not to mention, NCIS had a special episode that evening in the departure of a major character. I could see AOS balancing out a bit higher than where they already are. If their worst rating so far is 8.4 million viewers, I think they're doing fine.

Now that Thor is upon is, the popularity will rise, I'm sure.

Interesting that Thor asks for help to escape Asgard. Maybe Odin put a ban on anybody from leaving following the events of the Avengers?

So, Chris O' Dowd's role in The Dark World has been revealed... Seems to have been pretty quiet on the news front since the weekend. Should really start ramping up now.
