I seem to recall MDT saying they tested that attire and didn't like the way it turned out, so they dropped it.

If they're gonna churn out the Reys/Cenas/Ortons, they should at least do some nice little flashbacks.

For example:
1. Cena in purple trunks(non-monkey man version of Jakks' RA 1). I'm sure all the parts are there. Just slap it together to give us something different:


2. Randy Orton in a 2004ish color (we already got orange and blue off the top of my head, maybe some purple in there would be cool). They could throw in a WHC in a flashback elite with one of his younger looks (doesn't have to be totally accurate to the trunk color, just a young Orton from that era. Maybe even an old t-shirt. And they could save deco money by using his WM heritage headscan and not giving him the sleeves.


3. Rey. We've been asking/assuming that we're getting a flashback for a while now. Off the top of my head the coolest option would be Halloween Havoc, but we've seen Jakks do that one twice and it would probably cost a lot for all the decos. Maybe something simpler, like an early WWE/WCW less-tatted figure much like some of the TRU pack.


Now random other ones:
4. I like Dolph's WM attire in the OP, but we still gotta get our hands on his MITB 'Headliner' skivvies that he wore when he won MITB and a few times after. Hopefully these will be on the new elite. Maybe the briefcase (same as battle pack one, but it was synonymous with Dolph for such a time and can have better coloring) and a rubber "Stealing the show" shirt. That sounds reasonable.

5. Damien Sandow- his attire in the OP (post-WM pink kneepads, pink elbow pads, and shiny white trunks) is a must.
I'm glad we've gotten the purple with lavender pads combo in the elite, and of course we've got his standard pink with purple.
If he is already planned in any other immediate basic series or a two pack, I think we will probably see different colors such as the black with purple and lavender with purple (reverse of the elite). The black trunks I think were only worn a few times, though they'd be great to match with the new BP mustache cody
