An actual comic not a graphical novel.
For me its about $12ish, but I'm contemplating spending $50-$100 on a couple particular Batman comics in the near future.

6 or 7 bucks maybe? I don't think I would ever spend more than maybe 10 on a single comic, I would much rather spend 100 bucks on a really nice collection of comics than just one.

However much I paid for Amazing Spider-man 129 around 2003. I think about $100 or so. To no coincidence, it's the most valuable book I have in my collection still. Punisher is my favorite character, so it was worth every penny to me. I went through a period where I spent money on some books. Not too crazy though. I got New Mutants 87 and 98 both for about $20 each, I paid $40 for Uncanny 266, and I know I've spent between $10-25 on variant covers at times, which are mostly just a giant waste of money in retrospect. I really got out of collecting comics though around 2007. Now everything I buy is in TPB form because that's how I prefer to read stuff. I recently bought some old Punisher (Dixon PWJ) back issues at my comic store's 50% off sale and the most I spent on a book was $2.50, mostly a $1 an issue. I've even found myself waiting to buy new stuff now in TPB form. I just don't care about individual issues that much anymore.
I've always said I'll buy a CGC 9.6ish version of AS129, but that's not something I'm looking to do any time soon. Although, it's probably not getting any cheaper. Ultimately, I read the crap out of most of my comics. So single issues are more of a collecting thing, like baseball cards, and I'm just not that interested in doing that anymore.

I spent maybe $16 on a graphic novel once. Individual comic, I can't even think.

I don't think I've ever spent anything over retail for a single comic. However I have purchased graphic novels at steep prices.

The most for a single comic was about $10 and that was for the Ultimate Fallout comics but the most I've spent in one go was around $40 for the Ultimate Spider-Man Venom Saga and a few other comics that came with it. I got 30 - 50 for $40 so I wasn't complaining at around $2 per comic, especially for the ones I was getting.

I spent $22 on each volume of Batman: Knightfall, $100 on Batman Legends of the Dark Knight 1-90, but would never spend $100 dollars on a comic since i like reading them more than i do collecting them.

Thought I'd jump in this conversation, I just spent $55 on Deadpool #1 (Kelly/McGuinness) from '97. I also own New Mutants #98, but it was given as a gift to me for my birthday from my last boss (she ruled).
I'm buying a copy of Amazing Spider-Man #300 this week from one of my tattoo artists for $90.

Spent $20 on two different comics. One was the first issue of Jason Todd in the Robin costume. The other was the first ever appearance of the Shocker in Amazing Spiderman.

Don't mean to bump an old thread and annoy anyone, but I just bought a first print of CHEW #1 for $150.
Really, really excited!

30 bucks for a 1 in 50 variant #1 Daredevil at a Con. Bought it to get it signed by Mark Waid.
No regrets!

I hope you know that I was joking. I have a DD character for my username/avatar. I figured lol. I couldn't come up with a more clever comeback. Speaking of which, I really need to track down a directors cut of the Daredevil movie. I hear it's a hundred times better then the theatrical version.
