I don't care what size you're driving, you're not pulling in $260k/yr.

sounds like your getting paid to "cover expenses" or "reimburse" you for the work on your truck, etc..
as a courier, I get an expenses check (or reimbursement check) to that covers things like mileage, toll, copies, parking, etc..
which means your actual take home pay is lower than the 5000..
still good money in trucking, depending on what products you're delivering, taxes, and cost of living in your particular state

I'm with Kliq here. There's no way he's grossing $260k regardless of what his net is.

Ain't nobody f*ckin with my kliq. Made me laugh. Lol Seriously though. Even if he DOES make that much, why broadcast it? What point did it serve in this thread.

I don't care what size you're driving, you're not pulling in $260k/yr. Why am I not suprised to see you, of everyone on these boards, is giving me poop? We can take your word for it, who has NO IDEA what the world of trucking is like. Or we can take my word for it, me who has over 10 years experience in trucking. I could find a part time job in trucking and make that 54,ooo you're talking about. I mean seriously you think that with only 54,000 dollars I can cover the cost of Diesel, Insurance, truck parking, tolls, taxes, truck maintanence and other surprises? I spend about 1,200 on Diesel alone a week. What I spend on a fuel per year alone is more than your 54k.

The average truckers salary is ~54k yet you're saying you can make that in only 20 hours a week?

Also you're telling me you report $260k to the IRS as income every year?

Getting expenses paid and actually BEING PAID that much are completely different.

Even if he's an owner/operator I don't see how he could be grossing a quarter of a mil a year.

I still have this vision in my head of Milincoln "hauling" uniforms or industrial sized welcome mats for a company like Cintas or Aramark.
