Tragic loss, and a great wrestler. Sadly I don't think he would have reached the top had he lived longer.

The death of Owen Hart is one that just hit me hard and always has been with me. It's not like the others. He wasn't a drinker, a drug user, or involved in any self destructive behavior. It was just such a tragic event that took place. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think about Owen Hart and wish that he was still alive. He deserved so much better...and I'm not talking about Titles, card placement, or booking. I'm talking about he deserved to be able to get out of the business and live his life with his family, which is what he wanted.

I bet he would've been world champion at some point.R.I.P. I highly doubt it. If he didn't win it in 94 then he wasn't going to ever win it. He was probably going to retire in 2000 or 2001 to be with his family more. I don't think he would have gone from the Blue Blazer to world champion in that time. |

You all seem to be forgetting that Owen Hart WAS the world champion. I wish they counted this as an official run:
Had Shawn put Owen over as Vince wanted him to at the end of 97, he would have been on his way to being a star. Vince originally wanted to push Owen as "Canada's greatest wrestler" but Shawn put a stop to it.

I still miss him, I wonder if he would still be wrestling now and would have been world champ? I always liked him better than Bret personality and wrestling wise. Poor Owen:(

RIP Owen... I was never your biggest fan back then but I guess he did his job well being the heel....... but I really like him now... i guess it's kinda like the saying, "don't know what ya got, till it's gone"

One of my faves, despite the fact he actually never really wanted to be a wrestler.
His death and Misawa's hit me the hardest.
