I find it a bit amusing. I'm still a hardcore wrestling fan. I watch all the local and area indy shows. I watch TNA/WWE in spots on youtube. But I buy anything figure wise in wrestling it seems... I bought Eve in white today....I have no idea who she is or if she wrestles or just looks pretty. But its a wrestling figure so i bought her. I bought the Miz also ,I do like him.He reminds me of a Tully Blanchard kinda character. But people like Hunico,Eve,the Prime TIme Players are a blank to me...but I bought em cuz its a wrestling figure....I might have a problem..lol...Anyone else just buy because of? Just curious.

I've bought people in every toy line I've ever collected that I had no idea about who they were really. It's not weird at all. Once I was old enough to have a job and start serious collecting and paying for it myself, I started to become a completionist. I first got hardcore into Gundam, and then into Marvel Legends. With Gundam I continued collecting after they stopped airing the shows in the US and making the figures. I would pay top dollar for imports of figures based on shows I hadn't seen like Gundam SEED Destiny and Gundam OO. I still haven't seen either show but think the mechs look awesome.
The same thing goes with wrestling and particularly UFC figures. I watch the PPV's of UFC when I can, but haven't seen some of those people fight. And some of the Legend's and Jakks Classic Superstars are a little before my time, and I've only ever watched a small amount of matches on YouTube after buying the figures.
EDIT: The point I was gonna make and got sidetracked on, is that good figures are good figures. I can appreciate the new TMNT figures for instance, but haven't seen the new show, nor was I much of a Turtles kid. I was hardcore on the X-men comics and cartoon. That used to be all I lived for.

Nothing wrong with that. At least you aren't giving handskis for crack.
Yet.

Iv been buying Wrestling figures off and on since the early 90's hasbro figures. Hasbro,BCA,TTL,RA,Mattel Basic,Elite I don't even own 90% of the figures iv gotten in the past 20+yrs anymore but iv been buying the Mattel Legends and Any Elite classic superstar. I did find a Basic AJ today at walmart though so I picked it up. I constantly get $h*t from my Girlfriend about it, Have to like sneak around and buy figures. If shes with me its a no no for sure! I have a 3 year old and HE LOVES THEM! I gave him all my hasbro's and hung my Moc 1996 Jakks WWF Superstars Series 1 and 2 Complete Sets on his Wall when he turned 2 and he got other gifts, but Hes 3 now and he always helps me hunt for cool wrestling figures at the stores. I just always liked collecting the figures since i was little so I just never grew out of it. Reminds me of better times in my life I guess. But i got news for my G/F when I come across that Basic Series 29 Warrior I don't care if shes with me or not! I'll Gorilla Press Slam her @$$ to get it!!!!!!

I'm 26 now and I've been addicted since I was 9 in late 1996. I love figures and they make me happy. Being an adult being able to just enjoy myself collecting keeps my child-like fun side always intact and to me its important. I still get excited whenever I see anew awesome figure of my favorite wrestlers. There are a lot of bad habits so I consider collecting a fun and both constructive and satisfying hobby. You either feel that excitement or you don't and I've had the figure bug for a long time and hope to always continue with it.

I try to watch every Raw, but this actually made me realize there are quite a few wrestlers who I don't know a ton about or skip their matches, yet I have their figure. I think if it weren't for Mattel making an awesome product, I wouldn't watch wrestling anymore at all.

I'm addicted to collecting as well. Unfortunately I haven't been able to buy a figure in months so you can imagine how I feel right no..

I am the same. I collect anything and everything pro wrestling related. I even record raw, smackdown, tna, main event, saturday morning slam. I am also in the process of reading all my wrestling magazines cover to cover.

I never wanted as many current roster guys as I have now. That was never the intention. But they are the easiest to find and once I get them in my hands and see how good they look, I buy them. This board doesn't help neither lol.

I buy mid-carders I don't like because I want to fill up my roster. Also I buy all the G.O.A.T.s because they are legendary wrestlers ![:D](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/grin.gif) yeah I have a problem too.

It's a very fun and addicting hobby,
But VERY expensive indeed, it drains my bank account out and wallet out so lately I've stopped buying figures with resulting with one figure a month now.

I sliced my wrestling collection in half. I caught myself collecting them all which was not my intent. So i still have a quite a bit left to sell or trade off, but i have collecting "rules" for who and what I collect. Still have a robust collection but its back to my rule book lol
