Saw this stat earlier:
Paulo Ferreira has won eleven major honours with Chelsea. In 140 appearances. That's a trophy every 12.75 games.
It got me thinking, who are the most undeserving winners of trophies? A lot of people have said David May and its hard to disagree. A couple of Brazil's 23 in 2002 aren't worthy of being World Cup Winners. And Torres being one of only 2 players to hold the WC EC CL and EL at the same time (Mata is the other but he's great) is pretty shocking. Thoughts?

John Terry for lifting both the Champions League and Europa league without playing in the final. Not really an undeserving winner but he doesn't deserve to lift the trophy especially the champions league last year. You would also have thought after being ridiculed last year he would just let Lampard lift it.

It's the fact that Terry actually had the nerve to put on the kit to lift the trophy that pisses me off even more.

Terry deserved to left the CL, afterall he is the Captain. Doing it in a full kit is embarrassing though, should of taken note of Roy Keane back in the '99 CL final and just wore his suit to do it.

First of all Paulo has been a great servant to the Club. He was one of the best Right Back's in the World when we first bought him, and the last few years while he hasn't figured a lot on the pitch he's contributed a lot off it.
As for JT, UEFA told every Player in Munich to wear the Full Kit should they not play for photo purposes, just so happens that JT gets picked out for it. In all honesty, it could be the only time he'll ever win the Champions League, why would you want to be in all the photos for history wearing a suit with the Cup, despite playing every other Match in the tournament? As for the Europa League Final, I'm not sure if UEFA requested the same again as last year, but having got injured just a couple of days before the Final I don't blame him for wanting to celebrate with all the boys in his kit, I'd be gutted if I had to miss out on it all and wear a suit because of an injury.

The United players all donned full kit for the PL presentation, bar the cripples.

PL is different because there's no 'final'. Terry should've just lifted it in a suit like Keane or Scholes (who both say they don't count '99 as winning the CL).

At the end of the day, they're both trophies won by playing a series of games. The whole Man City squad got in their full kits on the last day last year, when that was in effect Citeh having to win one match to win the league.

Paulo Ferreira deserved to win every single trophy with Chelsea apart from the last one... When it comes to World Cups, its a short competition. So if you were good enough to be called up for it then you deserve to win it as much as any other player... Even though your career afterwards goes nowhere...like happened, like you said, to a few brazilian world cup winners...Anderson Polga for example...

Mike having his weekly moan about Chelsea, Torres & Paulo fully deserve what they have achieved and both in their prime were world class players. Hence why they have won so many trophies.

Yes, I'm the only person in this thread moaning about Chelsea. And I definitely didn't praise Chelsea's best player in my opening post.

Surprised Mike hasn't been accused of being racist towards the Portuguese yet.
If anyone from Chelsea are undeserving winners it's Hilario & Ross Turnbull. I know backup keepers are just 'that', but they are incredibly average who have outstayed their welcome.

Can't believe Hilario is still around. He's terrible.

Turnbull was one of the worst keepers I've ever seen at Cardiff and then he ended up at Chelsea not long after, unbelievable.

speaking of undeserving winners: Bayern didn't deserve to win it today. We played so well and there's that stupid penalty. Great how VfB came back after the 0-3 though
