PRESIDENT VENTURA MAKES CHANGE TO THE KING OF THE RING WINNER'S TITLE SHOT June 8. 1997
"Good Morning, as you know Tonight is The King of The Ring, we will have eight competitors vye for the opportunity to become the 1997 King of The Ring, now with that said, the winner of that match was promised a World Title Match at Summerslam, but I have made a change to it, the winner of that match can choose their right to face the WWF Champion whether it will be Faarooq or The Undertaker, it could happen at Summerslam or maybe even WrestleMania 14. But there is a limit, if you win the King of The Ring, then that superstar must have until one year to choose whether he faces the WWF Champion, I wish all the competitors luck in the King of The Ring Tournament".

Very interesting to see the title shot play a role into things. Especially if Triple H win in this world. This allows for some fun to see the title shot extend. Taker's leaving the Champion, and I think Micheaels and Austin could pull through on this night. But I could just as likely see see s*** hit the fan and get us to Summer Slam. I think Bret Hart could still steal his way to winning, but Shamrock may get it. I think you are going to make the 1997 King Of The Ring much more colorful, and I can wait to cover the summer of 97 in your sim.

WWF KING OF THE RING - June 8. 1997
Preshow Match: The New Age Outlaws D. Doug Furnas and Phillip Lafon
Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross are your hosts for tonight, they talk about the King of The Ring Card, Lawler predicts that Bret Hart is going to become the 2-time King of The Ring tonight. Ross disagrees and says that Terry Funk has a shot of winning the whole thing. McMahon says that originally, whoever won the match. Match 1: King of The Ring Quarterfinals Match Bret Hart vs Ken Shamrock And what a way to kick off the 1997 King of The Ring than to have two submission wrestlers, Bret Hart and Ken Shamrock, and this should be a knockdown drag em out fight. Bret and Shamrock lockup center in the ring with Bret having the advantage and taking down Shamrock but Shamrock battles back and throws Bret into the mat. Bret rolls out of the ring trying to avoid the World's Most Dangerous Man and Bret gets back in the ring where Shamrock has him by the hair and attempts a suplex but Bret fights out of it and goes for a victory roll but Shamrock kicks out at 2. Bret runs off the ropes and tries to hit Shamrock with a clothesline but Shamrock hits an armdrag and goes for the arm of Bret. Bret gets out of the armdrag by poking Shamrock in the eye and hitting right hands at him and tries to whip Shamrock into the buckle but Shamrock reverses and drops him with a clothesline. Shamrock then picks up Bret and hits him with a bodyslam and nails an elbow drop and goes for the cover but Bret kicks out at 2. Shamrock gets the advantage and tries to whip Bret into the steel steps but Bret counters and throws Shamrock into the steel steps. Bret then takes Shamrock back in the ring in where he regains the momentum in this match. Bret goes for the back of Shamrock and hits 2 backbreakers but Shamrock will not quit as he kicks out at two. Bret continues to put the momentum in his favor over Shamrock, but Shamrock makes a comeback by hitting a powerslam on Bret and this match has been a seesaw battle between these two. Shamrock and Bret exchange blows with one another and it's Shamrock getting the upper hand and he whips Bret into the ropes but Bret reverses it and Shamrock takes Bret down with a flying body press. Shamrock goes for the cover but Bret kicks out. Bret battles back and hits a Russian leg sweep on Shamrock and goes for the cover but Shamrock kicks out at two. These two gladiators are putting on a show. Bret tries to go for the German Suplex but Shamrock counters and hits a German of his own but Bret kicks out at 2. Shamrock whips Bret into the ropes again but Bret reverses it and goes for a back body drop but Shamrock kicks him in the face and surprises the former WWF Champion with a hurracarana. What a perfectly executed hurracarana by The World's Most Dangerous Man. Shamrock and Bret both get to their feet and Bret fights back in the match and tries to lock in the sharpshooter but Shamrock gets out of it and tries to go for the anklelock but Bret grabs Shamrock and goes to roll him up for an inside cradle but Shamrock kicks out at 2 again. Bret and Shamrock get to their feet with Bret nailing Shamrock with an atomic drop and follows it up with a clothesline. Bret heads to the top rope and goes for his signature elbow and connects with it. Bret goes for the cover again but Shamrock kicks out. Bret then gets the sharpshooter synched in on Shamrock and Shamrock can he fight it?. Will Bret make it to the semi-finals here. Shamrock's getting closer to tapping out and eventually Shamrock reaches the ropes, Shamrock has reached the ropes, Somebody for the first time has fought out of the sharpshooter and Bret is in disbelief. Bret then goes for the sharpshooter but Shamrock throws him off and grabs Bret by the arm throwing him down hitting an armbar, but wait he turns it around into the anklelock. He's got the anklelock on Bret, Bret may have nowhere to go here. Bret may have nowhere to go. And look at this, Bret's tapped out!. Bret's tapped out!. Shamrock has advanced into the semi-finals by upsetting the Hitman. Unbelievable for Shamrock, he has picked up the surprise victory over Bret and the fans are on their feet. Winner and Advancing to the Semi-Finals: Ken Shamrock Bret gets back to his feet and he can't believe it and he begins to argue with the ref while Shamrock is leaving, it looks as if Bret Hart's dream of becoming a 2-time King of The Ring Winner is not going to happen, he might have to wait at the 1998 King of The Ring. Bret is furious but then screams to the cameraman "He can have his victory, but i'm still the best and I always will be". A video package of Terry Funk is shown set to "Desperado" by The Eagles. Match 2: King of The Ring Quarter-Finals Match Terry Funk vs Goldust w/Marlena The fans are so shocked by the first match that they are not to occupied with this match but it's still a good one on one contest between these two veterans as this match goes for about 8 to 9 minutes. Goldust almost gets the win by hitting Funk with the curtain call but Funk counters it and nails a DDT on Goldust and he goes to the top rope and hits his signature moonsault on the former Intercontinental Champion to get the victory and advance to the final four just like last year. Winner: Terry Funk
After The Match. Funk helps Goldust to his feet and shakes his hand on a good match and both these men we know are fan favorites but what a highly respectful match between these two and Funk will go into the final four, but will he go all the way.
Todd Pettengill is standing by with Vader and Paul Bearer who is managing him even though he's managing The Undertaker reluctantly as well. Bearer says that this is a special night for both of his men, first his Undertaker will be told what to do when he destroys Faarooq and then after, Vader will take his rightful place as not only the man they call Vader, but the man they called King Vader, and Bearer will be the happiest man on earth because he will manage the WWF Champion and the King of The Ring Winner. And Flash Funk will be taken down first and then after, Mankind, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Terry Funk and Ken Shamrock will all go down while King Vader will rule everyone.
Match 3: King of The Ring Quarter-Finals Match Vader w/Paul Bearer vs Flash Funk w/The Funkettes Call this a mismatch as Flash obviously doesn't have a prayer against the former WWF Champion. Last Year, Vader made it to the final four but was defeated by Jake Roberts. Flash hits right hands nailing the former WWF Champion but none of them have an effect and Flash goes for a dropkick but Vader does not flinch. Flash goes for another move but Vader throws him down and nails him with a chokeslam and look Vader grabs Flash and powerbombs him not once, not twice but three times and I think Vader might end this real early here. Vader heads to the top rope and nails his signature Vaderbomb on Flash Funk in a record setting 1 minute. Flash never got barely any offense in and what a victory for the former WWF Champion. Winner: Vader
Todd Pettengill interviews Mankind about the quarter-finals match against Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Mankind says that he's come to the World Wrestling Federation for one year, last year, he shocked the world by defeating The Undertaker, but now he's a part of the King of The Ring. He wants to become King Mankind so he could become World Wrestling Federation Champion and he knows that Vader has advanced, but if he defeats Hunter Hearst Helmsley. He certainly has not forgotten Vader, because at Judgment Day, Vader gave him the beating of his lifetime, but at King of The Ring, he will get back at Vader and as for Hunter Hearst Helmsley, he will stick that claw down Hunter's mouth and that Hunter will be looking up at the lights and he will have a nice day.
Match 4: King of The Ring Quarter-Finals Match Mankind vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley w/Chyna This should be a hard hitting match between these two competitors. Helmsley wastes no time going after Mankind after Mankind's entrance. Mankind is somehow able to fight back and send Helmsley and himself over the top rope with a clothesline. Helmsley battles back on the outside and tries to drop Mankind's head into the steel steps but Mankind battles back and throws Helmsley square into the steel steps. Mankind tosses Helmsley back in the ring but as the referee begins to check on Helmsley. Chyna grabs Mankind and nails him with a clothesline out of nowhere, i'm sure Mick Foley's never been surprised by a woman that knocked him down like that. Chyna grabs Mankind and takes him back in the ring allowing Helmsley to gain momentum in this match. Mankind tries to fight back against Helmsley but Helmsley surprises Mankind by hitting him with a neckbreaker but Mankind kicks out at 2. Helmsley continues to regain the momentum and Mankind tries again fighting back but The Blueblood takes him down with his signature spinebuster but Mankind is able to kick out at 2 again. Mankind battles back and nails Helmsley with a clothesline knocking Helmsley down and these two are having a back and forth matchup. Mankind makes a comeback and hits Helmsley with a back body drop by whipping him into the buckle. Mankind continues to get the momentum and almost gets the win by hitting a double arm DDT but Helmsley kicks out at 2. Helmsley fights back and sends Mankind to the outside with a high knee. Helmsley then takes Mankind back in the ring and gets the pedigree on him and Helmsley goes for the cover but Mankind kicks out, How did Mankind kick out of the pedigree?. How did he do it?. Helmsley goes for another pedigree on Mankind but Mankind backdrops out of it and connects with the Mandible Claw on Helmsley, he's got the claw and Helmsley's got nowhere to go now. Helmsley is now out of it and he taps out. Mankind is heading to the final four. And now the stage is set, Mankind vs Vader and Shamrock vs Terry Funk Winner: Mankind
Backstage, Todd Pettengill is standing by with an angry Bret Hart and The Hart Foundation. Bret says that this was supposed to be his night, but it wasn't. But it is what it is and he's going to get the World Wrestling Federation Championship, but he's got business to attend to. Because he has a big announcement, he's thought of a big way to end this feud between him and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Bret says that he knows Austin and Michaels are defending the Tag Team Titles, but on the next PPV which is their hometown Canada, Bret says that USA and Canada need a war to settle the score, And that is a 10-Man Tag Team Match, Bret already has his partners, But Austin can find partners of his own, he can find the Minis, he can find the Jobbers, he can find The President for that matter, but what matters is that night on July 6, 1997. The Canadians will rule over the United States of America.
Match 5: 6-Man Tag Team Match The Nation of Domination w/D' Lo Brown & Slick vs Sycho Sid and The Legion of Doom This could be a big night for the Nation of Domination as first, they could beat Sid and The Legion of Doom and also Faarooq can defeat The Undertaker tonight as well. But this match is not receiving good vibes from the Fans, The Nation do a good job of wearing down Hawk until Hawk makes the hot tag to Sid who comes in a house of fire by hitting chokeslams on Kama, Crush and even the 500-pound Mabel, the end of the match comes with Sid attempting a powerbomb on Kama but Mabel who is the legal man hits Sid with a clothesline and nails a big leg drop on Sid to get the victory for the Nation of Domination. And what a night this could be for the Nation, they've taken out The Legion of Doom and Sid, but can Faarooq take the WWF Championship away from The Undertaker tonight? Winners: The Nation of Domination
Kevin Kelly is standing by with Faarooq with Faarooq watching on the Locker Room seeing the Nation's victory. Faarooq says that this night has only begun, The Legion of Doom and Sycho Sid tasted defeat, but now Faarooq is ready to become the World Champion and he doesn't give a damn if Undertaker has family issues, tonight, they're not only going to crown a king, but they will crown the first Black World Champion in WWF History.
Match 6: King of The Ring Semi-Finals Match Ken Shamrock vs Terry Funk What a night for Ken Shamrock as he shocked the world by defeating Bret Hart earlier on tonight, but can he survive the Hardcore King, Terry Funk. Funk and Shamrock have a nice exchange lockup with Funk gaining the momentum but Shamrock brings Funk down with a shoulder block and gets the advantage in this match but Funk battles back and hits those big Texan Punches on Shamrock and Funk whips Shamrock into the ropes but Shamrock knees him in the face and goes for a clothesline but Funk hits an armdrag on Shamrock. Funk throws big right hands again but Shamrock battles back and nails a clothesline on Funk. Funk makes a comeback in this match and goes for a cross body but Shamrock catches him with a powerslam but Funk kicks out at 2. Funk battles back in the match and hits a standing moonsault on the outside on Shamrock. Funk grabs Shamrock and tosses him in the ring. Funk goes to hit his moonsault again but Shamrock rolls out of the way and hits the Belly to Belly Suplex on Funk and Shamrock covers Funk to get the win and can you believe this?, just after defeating Bret Hart just earlier, Shamrock has advanced to the finals. But will he take on Mankind or Vader? and if he does, surely one of these men will give him the challenge of a lifetime. Winner: Ken Shamrock
Todd Pettengill is standing by with Vader and Paul Bearer again. Bearer does the talking for Vader again saying that Vader has only destroyed one man, and now tonight, Mankind is next on Vader's hitlist. Bearer says that Mankind never helped him at Backlash when he was set on fire by The Undertaker, Mankind was too busy preoccupied on himself, well guess what he doesn't need Mankind anymore and he better not be thinking about putting that stinky, smelly finger on his mouth because he can have Vader break it for him and Mankind will only have four fingers and Vader will jam that finger into Mankind's own mouth. Because there's nothing Mankind can do to stop Vader winning the King of The Ring.
Match 7: King of The Ring Semifinals Match Vader w/Paul Bearer vs Mankind This match is about as personal as it gets between these two. Mankind and Vader waste no time going right after each other after the bell rings as these two exchange punches with one another. Mankind gets the upper hand and knocks down the former WWF Champion with a clothesline. Vader somehow battles back by tossing Mankind over the top rope and Vader grabs Mankind by tossing him into the steel steps. The referee is distracted by Paul Bearer and that allows Vader to grab the steel steps but wait a minute Mankind's got a chair and Mankind nails Vader in the face with it, the referee never saw it and this thing is getting more Hardcore than it is, it's supposed to be the King of The Ring, but I don't think these two don't care about winning King of The Ring. Mankind tosses Vader back in the ring and goes to the top rope and when have you ever seen Mankind head to the top rope before?. Vader gets to his feet and Mankind nails him with a big double axe handle. Mankind goes for the cover but Vader kicks out at 2. Vader battles back and surprises Mankind with a powerslam. Vader continues to regain the momentum in this match and hits a few running body splashes and follows it up with a clothesline. Mankind tries to battle back with right hands and whips Vader into the ropes but Vader reverses it and nails a high back body drop on Mankind. Mankind gets up only for Vader to hit a dropkick on Mankind, unbelievable. Vader just nailed a dropkick to Mankind even though Vader's one big dude. Vader grabs Mankind and goes for a suplex but Mankind counters it and tries to suplex the former WWF Champion himself but Vader throws Mankind off of him and Mankind runs off the ropes only for Vader to hit a big clothesline taking Mankind down. Vader is just dominating Mankind here. Mankind eventually battles back and knocks him and Vader over the top rope with a clothesline. Mankind has taken control of the match and Vader charges at him again only for Mankind to surprise him with a drop toe hold taking Vader's head into the steel steps. Mankind then rips off the padding and this match has become more intense now. Mankind grabs Vader and tries to go for a piledriver on the padding but Vader counters and backdrops Mankind into the padding. Mankind is hurt, and these two are still having this back and forth confrontation here. Vader tosses Mankind back in the ring and goes for a splash but Mankind rolls out of the way. Mankind grabs Vader and hits the former WWF Champion with a piledriver. Mankind goes for the cover but Vader kicks out at two. Vader and Mankind have just beaten the hell out of each other. Vader and Mankind both get to their feet and Vader hits a stungun on Mankind on the ropes and hits a big splash on Mankind. Vader goes for the cover again but Mankind kicks out once more at two. Vader picks up Mankind and goes for a chokeslam but Mankind elbows out of it and nails the double arm DDT on the former WWF Champion. Mankind goes for the cover again but Vader once again kicks out and what a battle this has been between the two. Mankind sets up for the Mandible Claw and he's got it locked in on Vader. Will Vader get out of it?. Vader goes down and the referee checks to see if Vader is out and just as he does. Vader grabs Mankind by the throat breaking the mandible claw and Vader knees him in the gut and nails Mankind with a powerbomb and Vader goes down too, Vader gets to his feet and goes for the cover but Mankind kicks out at 2. How did Mankind kick out of that powerbomb?. Vader picks up Mankind again and hits another powerbomb. But wait Paul wants Vader to hit one more powerbomb. Vader grabs Mankind again and hits him with a third powerbomb. Vader covers Mankind and pins him to get the win and Vader has advanced to the finals. So it will be Vader vs Ken Shamrock in the finals here tonight. But what a battle between the two. Winner and Advancing to the Finals: Vader
A video clip is shown of Stone Cold and Shawn Michaels vs Owen Hart and British Bulldog for the Tag Team Titles.
Match 8: WWF Tag Team Championship Match Stone Cold and Shawn Michaels vs Owen Hart and British Bulldog The Hart Foundation have already had a bad night with Bret Hart being eliminated from the King of The Ring Tournament, the match kicks off with Michaels and Bulldog with Michaels gaining the advantage on The Bulldog but Bulldog takes Shawn down with a shoulder block. Shawn gets to his feet and hits Bulldog with an armdrag but Bulldog rakes the eyes and tries to toss Shawn over the top rope but Shawn skins the cat and nails Bulldog with a dropkick while he's back in the ring and makes the tag to Stone Cold who lights up Bulldog with right hands and Stone Cold last year won the 1996 King of The Ring, And since then, he's had a bad attitude lately. Bulldog then tags in Owen and Owen and Stone Cold exchange blows with Austin gaining the upper hand and Austin whips Owen into the ropes and nails a back body drop and Austin makes the tag to Shawn. Shawn hammers away at Owen and whips him into the ropes but Owen hits an atomic drop and goes for a clothesline but Michaels hits a drop toe hold and does a front facelock on Owen and locks in a headlock on Owen but Owen gets out of it allowing The Bulldog to take advantage and for Owen to nail Michaels with a clothesline. Owen and Bulldog begin to wear down Michaels for a good portion of five minutes until Michaels makes the hot tag to Austin. Austin comes in a house of fire and nails Owen with a Lou Thesz Press and hits Bulldog with a spinebuster. Austin is cleaning house here. It looks like Austin and Michaels wanna retain their titles here. Austin goes to hit Bulldog with a stunner but Owen comes in and helps Bulldog attack Austin. But here comes HBK. Michaels knocks Owen over the top rope with a clothesline and Michaels hits a torpedo taking him and Owen down. Austin and Bulldog are the two legal men. Austin hits the Stunner on The Bulldog but wait there's Owen. Owen nails Austin with the spinning heel kick and both Bulldog and Austin are down and Bulldog goes for the cover but Michaels breaks up the count and that gives Bulldog and Owen full on advantage to wear down Austin for a good 5 minutes. Austin eventually hits a double clothesline on the Tag Team Champions and makes the hot tag to Michaels. Michaels hits Owen and Bulldog with right hands and Michaels hits Owen with a flying forearm and does the same to the Bulldog. Michaels scoops up Owen and bodyslams him to the mat and now he heads to the top rope will he hit that patented elbow on Owen and he connects with it. Michaels hit the elbow but can he go for Sweet Chin Music but there's The Bulldog who almost beheaded Michaels with a clothesline. And Austin gets back in the ring going right for The Bulldog. Austin and Bulldog are fighting on the outside but wait a minute here comes Jim Neidhart and Brian Pillman, they're all over Austin. Austin tries fighting off the odds and he does so, but as the referee tells Neidhart and Pillman to leave. Michaels hits Owen with Sweet Chin Music but as he gets set to cover. Bret Hart gets in the ring with a steel chair in hand and Bret hits Michaels in the head with a steel chair. Michaels's head just got cracked with that steel chair and Michaels looks to be in a bloody mess, blood is running down Shawn's face after that chair shot. Owen covers Shawn and gets the win to regain the WWF Tag Team Titles thanks to highway robbery. The Hart Foundation have stolen one although Bret didn't win King of The Ring, it seems like their plan was working all along. Winners and New WWF Tag Team Champions: Owen Hart and British Bulldog
A clip is shown of The Undertaker vs Faarooq, first it sets to clips of The Undertaker set to "Wherever I May Roam" by Metalica and then it shows clips of Faarooq set to "Fight The Power" by Public Enemy.
Match 9: WWF Championship Match The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer vs Faarooq w/The Nation of Domination Tonight may be the night that we see a first WWF Black Champion because The Undertaker has not focused on Faarooq, he's focused on that secret Paul Bearer is giving him. As Bearer is telling Undertaker to hand the belt to him. Faarooq jumps The Undertaker from behind and Faarooq hammers away at The Undertaker, Faarooq is getting this match into gear but Undertaker grabs Faarooq by the throat and throws body shots and right hands on Faarooq and whips Faarooq into the buckle but Faarooq counters but Undertaker however hits a clothesline and goes for an elbow drop but Faarooq rolls out of the way. But despite that, Undertaker fights off Faarooq and hits him with a uppercut and goes for the cover but Faarooq kicks out at two. But wait Paul Bearer is distracting The Undertaker and that allows Faarooq to come at Undertaker with a clothesline. Faarooq whips Undertaker into the ropes and hits a powerslam but Undertaker kicks out at 2. Undertaker gets to his feet and wait a minute behind the referee's back as Taker is resting on the ropes, Crush, Kama, Ahmed, D' Lo and Mabel all gang up on The Undertaker, the referee is distracted by Faarooq and that allows Faarooq to gain control but Undertaker fights back with a kick to the face and grabs Faarooq by the arm and it could be time for the signature ropewalk and Taker goes for it but wait a minute he lets go of Faarooq and this a plancha on all the members of The Nation. Taker goes to the outside and fights off the Nation by tossing Mabel into the steel steps and doing the same thing to Crush. Taker then grabs a steel chair while the referee is distracted by Paul Bearer and Taker nails Kama in the back with it and Taker gets back in the ring and goes for the ropewalk again but wait a minute, the referee is distracted by Slick and that allows Mabel to grab the ropes and break up the ropewalk. Faarooq picks up Undertaker and hits a snap suplex. Faarooq goes for a cover but Undertaker kicks out and Undertaker sits up again and nails Faarooq with a right hand knocking Faarooq down. And Paul Bearer is distracting Undertaker again and that allows Faarooq to nail Undertaker with a DDT. Faarooq goes for the cover but Undertaker kicks out and Faarooq once more distracts the referee and that allows The Nation to go right after The Undertaker again. Faarooq grabs Undertaker and tosses him over the top rope to the floor and look Faarooq's got the steel steps and just as Faarooq goes to hit Taker with them, Taker dropkicks the stairs right in Faarooq's face. Unbelievable. Taker picks up Faarooq and tosses him in the ring and goes to the apron where he hits the apron leg drop on Faarooq. Undertaker makes a comeback by hitting Faarooq with right hands and takes him into the buckle and whips him into the ropes and goes for a back body drop but Faarooq puts his head down and nails the piledriver on Undertaker. Faarooq goes for the cover but The Phenom kicks out again. Faarooq locks in the sleeper hold on Undertaker and Faarooq's got that hold synched in, can The Undertaker hold on here?. Faarooq is using the ropes to his advantage. Taker gets to his feet and tries breaking out of the sleeper hold and Taker hits a jawbreaker on Faarooq breaking the sleeper hold and Undertaker makes a comeback hitting Faarooq with right hands and whips Faarooq into the buckle and nails a clothesline in the corner and there's snake eyes on Faarooq. He whips Faarooq into the ropes and nails a big boot and follows it up with a leg drop. Taker goes for the cover again but Faarooq kicks out at 2. Taker goes for another leg drop but Faarooq rolls out of the way. Faarooq goes to the top rope but Undertaker catches the challenger with a powerslam and what a hard fought match between The Phenom and the Leader of The Nation. Taker whips Faarooq into the buckle and hits him with right hands and whips him into the ropes but Faarooq counters and Undertaker hits his signature flying clothesline on Faarooq. And both men are down. Taker eventually gets to his feet, Taker grabs Faarooq by the throat and nails him with the chokeslam. But wait a minute, Ahmed is holding The Undertaker up and the referee is distracted by Slick and here comes Mabel, he gets in the ring. Mabel charges at The Undertaker but Undertaker ducks and Mabel hits Ahmed by accident. Taker grabs Mabel by the throat and chokeslams the 568-pounder to the mat. Kama and Crush get in and punch away at The Undertaker meanwhile the referee is distracted still by Slick. Crush tries to hit Undertaker with a boot but Undertaker ducks again and Crush hits Kama with the boot by mistake and Taker jumps off the ropes and nails his signature DDT on Crush. Faarooq gets to his feet and tries to go for the dominator but Undertaker backdrops out of it and Tombstones Faarooq to get the win and retain the WWF Title which puts a smile on Paul Bearer's face. Taker a bit reluctant joining Paul Bearer but fought a hard fought title defense against Faarooq. Winner and Still WWF Champion: The Undertaker
A clip is shown of the finals and the quarterfinals from earlier tonight.
Kevin Kelly stands by with Ken Shamrock. Shamrock says that tonight has been a fantasy for him, first he beats Bret in the quarterfinals and he beats Terry Funk in the semifinals and now he's in the finals because he's got a chance to win it, it's the moment he's been waiting for all of his life. But if he becomes King, he has to take down a beast called Vader. He's seen Vader in action and yes he is one dangerous dude but when it comes to being in fights all of his life. Vader might not beat somebody that is more agile and powerful than him. Because he is going to do what it takes to become the King of The Ring.
Match 10: King of The Ring Finals Match Ken Shamrock vs Vader This is it, the main event, the final King of The Ring Match between Ken Shamrock and Vader and both these men stare each other down, remember there is no time limit in this match, the only way this match can end is by pinfall or submission, both men can't afford a countout or disqualifaction in this match. Vader shoves Shamrock down to the mat and that gets Shamrock so incensed that he throws punches at the former WWF Champion and Shamrock rocks Vader into the buckle with those right hands and tries to whip Vader into the buckle but Vader is so huge and Vader tosses Shamrock over the top rope like he was a rag doll. Vader begins to pose but Shamrock gets to his feet and comes at Vader and takes him down with right hands to the face. Shamrock whips Vader into the ropes but Vader reverses it and goes for a clothesline but Shamrock hits a spinning heel kick knocking down the former WWF Champion and Shamrock hits Vader with a clothesline sending him over the top rope to the floor and Shamrock is on a roll here in this match. Vader fights back by tossing Shamrock straight into the barricade and Vader tosses him in the ring and he hits a headbutt on Shamrock. Vader then tosses Shamrock into the buckle and throws huge right hands at Shamrock. Shamrock does his best to battle back and does and hits the former WWF Champion with a German Suplex taking down the 450-pounder. But Vader gets to his feet and gains the momentum on Shamrock. Vader just beats on Shamrock for a good portion of six minutes but Shamrock fights back and tries a hurracarana and Vader counters it by trying to go for his signature powerbomb but Shamrock gets a sunset flip but Vader kicks out once more at two. Shamrock charges at Vader and gets untop of Vader on the buckle nailing a ten punch count and the ref tells Shamrock that he will disqualify him. Shamrock gets out and that allows Vader to hit a stiff blow knocking Shamrock down and out. Shamrock is down and out. Vader goes for the cover but Shamrock kicks out at 2. What a back and forth matchup between Shamrock and Vader. Vader grabs Shamrock and goes for a chokeslam but Shamrock counters and kicks Vader and bodyslams him to the mat. Shamrock just bodyslammed the former WWF Champion. Shamrock then gets to the top rope and Shamrock goes for a high risk move but Vader is back on his feet and goes for the superplex and he connects with it. Vader just hit Shamrock with a superplex as Shamrock was attempting possibly a move here. Vader and Shamrock are both down and something has gotta give in this match, these two are totally spent, Vader goes for a clothesline but Shamrock ducks and hits Vader with a kick to the face. And what a shot knocking down the former WWF Champion. Shamrock goes for the cover but Vader kicks out again, both men are exhausted here. They are really giving it a go here in the finals. Vader fights back and hits Shamrock with a chokeslam. Vader goes for the cover again but Shamrock's resilency allows him to kick out again. Vader picks up Shamrock and goes for a powerbomb but Shamrock fights out of it and nails the hurracarana on the former WWF Champion. Vader gets to his feet only for Shamrock to catch him and hit a belly to belly suplex and look Vader's on his feet again and Shamrock nails him with another Belly to Belly, That's 2 Belly to Belly Suplexes Shamrock has hit. Shamrock goes for the cover again but Vader kicks out. Shamrock can't believe it, both Shamrock and Vader have beaten the hell out of each other to become the 1997 King Of The Ring, but where will it end here?. Vader gets to his feet and surprises Shamrock with a powerbomb but that took a lot out of Vader as well. Vader slowly gets to his feet and attempts the Vaderbomb on Shamrock and Shamrock shockingly rolls out of the way. Shamrock rolled out of the Vaderbomb and look he's got the anklelock on Vader. The Anklelock is locked in, it's synched in. And look at this Vader is trying to fight out of it, the pain's gotta be excruating for him. Shamrock continues to lock that hold in for 1 minute, Vader's been in it. Vader will not give up here. But the pain is too much, Vader tries effortlessly to break out of it again, but it's no use and Vader is tapping. Vader taps out!. Vader has tapped out!. Shamrock has won the 1997 King of The Ring, what a victory for the rookie Ken Shamrock. Winner and 1997 King of The Ring: Ken Shamrock
What a victory for the World's Most Dangerous Man, he has outlasted everyone here tonight, he's beaten Bret Hart, Terry Funk and Vader to get to this opportunity, but this kid pulled it off and has become the 1997 King of The Ring. What a victory for this young prospect who broke into UFC and 4 months later, he has come to the WWF to become the 1997 King of The Ring, but the question remains?. When will Shamrock use his clause for a title match?. Could it be Summerslam, Could it be Tomorrow Night, or maybe could it be WrestleMania 14, We don't know, but Ken Shamrock can call himself King Shamrock and the crowd is on their feet for the World's Most Dangerous Man, what a standing ovation for Shamrock. Shamrock celebrates as King of The Ring goes off the air.

Shamrock and Hart is a damn well good choice to open with and very explosive. What a way to put over Shamrock, and Shamrock so far is my favorite to win this King of The Ring! Bret however still has his ego, and the WWF Championship surely still his in his eyes. Cool interaction between Goldust and Funk. And interesting to see Funk advance. I don't see him winning, but maybe showdown with Mankind later in the night? Vader destroys Flash Funk in one hell of a showing. Vader is one to fear with a WWF Championship to his name! Mankind takes Hunter out! This is really bold, I really am curious to see if this ignites Triple H and Mankind's rivalry eventually as well as Mankind's unsettled biz with Vader. Bret Hart also is laying it on the line and I can't wait to see this Diaries spin on the 10 man tag! Funk puts on a fight and doesn't give up even in his advanced age, but Shamrock is rolling through tonight and he isn't slowing down for no one! Vader and Mankind tear it up again, hard hitting brutal. And both men beat the complete hell out of eachother. Not suprised Vader got the win, and this is gonna be big with Vader and Shamrock. Vader looks to reclaim old glory! Michaels and Austin put on a hell of showdown, but I knew this alliance was gonna tick way to soon. These two are going to have to coexist longer, come Canadian Stampede. Great build up package music choices btw. Farooq puts on hard fought battle for Taker. Stacking the odds with his comrades. But, the Deadman cannot be touched. Taker takes win, but how long can he handle Bearer. And without doubt in my mind it won't be for long. Shamrock takes the win. Busting his ass and kicking ass top to bottom. Vader taps out, and Shamrock is the note worthy and star of this show. I just wonder when he will come for the title, and I think sooner rather then later! Fantastic showing and great show setting the foundation for the rest of the summer of 97!

- Ken Shamrock going over Bret "The Hitman" Hart who is a multiple time WWF Champion and a former King of the Ring winner in the Quarter Final by not only beating Bret cleanly but making Bret tap out to the Ankle Lock is a massive way of putting Shamrock over. I mean he basically made Bret tap out and Bret is a submission wrestler...he is a technical wrestler probably the best technical wrestler in WWF and Shamrock tapped him out...that alone right there deserves a push. I would have expected The Hart Foundation to somehow get involved in this match but surprisingly they didn't and even if they had I am sure Shamrock would have taken care of it because when Shamrock snaps, he is virtually untouchable.
- Terry Funk going over Goldust in the King of the Ring Quarter Final to advance is definitely a shock to say the least. I definitely would have expected Goldust to go over Funk seeing as how Goldust has been over lately and well Funk hasn't been. Then again Funk is a veteran and he has done it all in this business but can he even win King of the Ring?
- Vader dominating and completely destroying Flash Funk to advance in the King of the Ring Quarter Final to advance...I expected nothing less from Vader and he got the job done. Vader more or less has been like the Beast like the Brock Lesnar of this diary with his dominance so him beating Flash Funk doesn't surprise me hell Vader is probably one of my picks to win this whole thing as far as the 1997 King of the Ring goes.
- Mankind beats Hunter to advance in the King of the Ring tournament...well it makes sense given the Mankind/Vader rivalry but also because Hunter is a former King of the Ring winner in this diary so did he really need this win?
- 10 Man Tag Team Match...you have Bret, Owen, Bulldog, Neidhart and most likely Pillman but then who is gonna be on Austin's team?
- Shamrock going over Funk to advance...that is another huge win for Shamrock
- Vader beating Mankind to advance...I almost called it as far as Vader getting to the Final and Shamrock going to the Final sets up my ideal Final
- Michaels and Austin losing and Owen & Bulldog going over to become WWF Tag Team Champions...I knew this alliance was gonna tick way to soon. These two are going to have to coexist longer, come Canadian Stampede especially if they end up on the same team. Faarooq puts on a great match with Taker but Taker overcomes. Faarooq tried to stack the odds in his favor with The Nation of Domination. But, the Deadman cannot be touched. Taker takes the win but how long before Kane shows up anyway? Shamrock wins the 1997 WWF King of the Ring tournament. Busting his ass and kicking ass top to bottom. Vader taps out, and Shamrock is the note worthy star of this show. I just wonder when he will come for the title, and I think sooner rather then later! Fantastic showing and great show setting the foundation for the rest of the summer of 97.

Ken Shamrock has been pushed to the moon, baybay. I'm really interested if you're going to run him versus Undertaker or get the belt on somebody else or what but I'm intrigued as to how you're going to handle Shamrock going forward as clearly you're investing a lot in to him.

WWF RAW IS WAR - June 9, 1997
Clips are shown of the King of The Ring set to "It's Good to be King" by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, The Commentators tonight are Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross, they talk about Ken Shamrock winning the 1997 King of The Ring. He will be here to announce his future title match, and tonight, Stone Cold and Shawn Michaels will get a rematch for the WWF Tag Team Titles as they take on Owen Hart and The British Bulldog. But right now we are kicking off with action between Mankind and Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Match 1: Mankind vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley w/Chyna This should be an easy scientific matchup between Mankind and Hunter Hearst Helmsley, apparently Helmsley wants revenge for what happened last night when Mankind eliminated him from the quarterfinals of the 1997 King of The Ring. Helmsley and Mankind get into a slugfest to start the match with Mankind gaining the advantage. Mankind grabs Helmsley and takes him over the top rope to the floor with a clothesline knocking both men and himself over the top rope. Helmsley battles back and takes Mankind's face into the announce table. Helmsley then takes advantage and tries to whip Mankind into the steel steps but Mankind throws him into the steel steps. Helmsley and Mankind are just taking it to one another here on RAW is WAR. Helmsley gets a steel chair and tries to hit Mankind with it but Mankind blocks it and kicks Helmsley in the gut and gets the chair and hits him in the back with it and that's going to be a disqualifaction for Mankind. Winner By DQ: Hunter Hearst Helmsley
After the match, Mankind continues to pound on Helmsley and tosses him back in the ring, Helmsley somehow fights back and tries to hit the pedigree on Mankind but Mankind catapults him into the buckle and hits him with a Double Arm DDT. Mankind then sets up for the Mandible Claw on Helmsley, but wait a minute here comes Vader, it seems like Vader and Mankind's personal problems have not been resolved yet, just as Mankind has the claw locked in. Vader comes in to go after Mankind. Vader begins to beat Mankind down and tosses him over the top rope to the floor. Vader then gets out of the ring and takes apart the Spanish announce table. Vader has been so incensed since losing the WWF Title at WrestleMania 13 and that he blames Mankind for it. Vader then picks up Mankind and bodyslams him on the concrete. Vader wants to hurt and pummel Mankind. Vader tries putting Mankind on the table but Mankind breaks free and hits Vader with a few punches but Vader hits him in the ribs and grabs him by the throat nailing him with a chokeslam through the Spanish Announce Table and Mankind may be broken in half here. Vader just destroyed his own former tag team partner and former friend. And look at Vader, he just spat on Mankind. This rivalry between Mankind and Vader may be way far from over. The Commentators try to pick up the pieces and see what's going on, Ross announces that earlier today he had the occasion to sit down with The Undertaker, the WWF Champion about his relationship with Paul Bearer and we will have that conversation later tonight. The Undertaker is not here tonight either. (break) Match 2: 6-Man Tag Team Match The Legion of Doom and Sycho Sid vs Crush, Ahmed Johnson and Mabel w/Faarooq, Kama, D' Lo Brown and Slick Another rematch from the King of The Ring as The Legion of Doom and Sycho Sid lost their match against The Nation of Domination, that they look to build some momentum against The Nation. The Nation start the match off dominant, but somehow The Legion of Doom and Sid fight back, the NOD are set to win the match as Crush attempts to hit Sid with the Heart Punch while Ahmed is holding him, but Sid ducks and Crush accidentally hits Ahmed and that allows Sid to hit Crush with the chokeslam and the jackknife powerbomb to get the victory. After the Match, The Nation get in the ring and begin to fight with each other, it looks like there's trouble in the Nation of Domination as they begin to argue with each other in and out of the ring. Winners: The Legion of Doom and Sycho Sid The commentators take us to Stone Cold Steve Austin to see if he's accepted Bret Hart's challenge for Canadian Stampede. Austin says that this whole problem between him and Bret Hart must end and the bottom line is yes, he accepts Bret's challenge because he wants to embarrass and humiliate Bret infront of his whole family and his whole friends in his hometown of Canada. Austin says that his first partner was heard to find, but although he and him don't get along so well, they do have one thing in common, they want a piece of Bret Hart's ass. So the first person that will team up with him will be The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. Michaels is behind Austin and says that Austin is right, they do have one thing in common, a common bond and that was to protect United States from Canada and tonight, the first thing they're going to do is win the WWF Tag Team Championship and then soon after, Bret Hart will be on their list. So they will see Bret Hart at Canadian Stampede and that's the bottom line because Stone Cold and Shawn Michaels said so. (break) Match 3: Bradshaw vs Mike Bell Bradshaw was dominant here in his return last week against Jeff Hardy, and tonight he looks to be more dominant in this squash match against Mike Bell, the commentators announce that The Nation of Domination are still arguing in their locker room, Bradshaw gets the win by hitting the clothesline from hell on Bell to get the victory. Winner: Bradshaw After the Match, Bradshaw picks up a microphone and says that ever since he's been gone, he's been tired of a tag team that's called theirselves The New Age Outlaws, It makes him sick that pretty punks like Billy Gunn and Road Dogg wanna call theirselves The Outlaws. Well next week, Bradshaw is issuing a challenge to the New Age Outlaws because he and his partner can beat The New Age Outlaws because he will have a surprise for The New Age Outlaws next week. Backstage, The Nation are still heard arguing in the locker room until Faarooq is seen with D' Lo, Kama and Ahmed and Slick. Dok Hendrix stops by him and Faarooq tells him he's got something to say and they are going to listen. (break) Back on RAW, The Nation have already stormed the ring as Hendrix tries reasoning with Mabel and Crush, but they tell him to shoo. Jim Ross is already in the ring with The Nation, Faarooq says when he formed The Nation, he recruited people at all costs that was to watch Faarooq's back at all times, if he was down, that's the way it was supposed to go, let's take Mabel for instance, he took him out of the buffet table, and led him to the salad bar and took him to the top, but what does he do, stab him in his back. Well Mabel, his fat ass is fired as of today, so Mabel's gone. Mabel is out of the Nation. Faarooq goes on and says that Crush wasn't making any waves in the WWF years ago, but when he joined the Nation, he took him to Championship Status, but what does he do, just like Mabel, stab him in the back. Well Crush, find his place in the unemployment line because he's fired too. Faarooq then looks at Slick and tells him that he's out too. Faarooq has got rid of the entire Nation of Domination and look at this. Ahmed, Kama, D-Lo and Faarooq are now attacking Slick. They are beating the hell out of Slick. Ahmed grabs Slick and military presses him over the top rope. Faarooq says that from now on, this is a new Nation of Domination, And that they will stop at nothing to win championships. But as for Ahmed, Kama, D-Lo, if anyone messes up, then they will join Mabel, Crush and Slick at the same time. So Faarooq has cleared the dead weight of the Nation of Domination, what else is going to happen here tonight?.
(break) The commentators take us to a sitdown interview with the WWF Champion The Undertaker and Jim Ross, Ross says that he's glad The Undertaker could take this time to talk about his personal grievances in what's been going on the past few weeks, Ross says that all of this started at Last Year's Summerslam when Paul Bearer betrayed The Undertaker and then it led to him winning the WWF Title at WrestleMania 13 over Vader and now going back to Paul Bearer because Paul Bearer has claimed that he has a dark, dirty secret to reveal to The Undertaker, and what has affected The Undertaker in the changing days since he's gone back to Paul Bearer. Taker says that it's been a long tough road, but for many years, he's known Paul Bearer for a long time and who knows what he might do. When they were in the World Wrestling Federation together, they buried souls and Undertaker would find it to protect Paul from others that was hurting him, it was their goal, protect each other from any evil demon that tried to oppose them. Brother Love felt like he couldn't require The Undertaker to manage him to the top, because if it wasn't for Brother Love bringing them together, he would've not been in the WWF today, nor he would've had this title around his hands right now. But he is a 3-time WWF Champion, not because of Paul Bearer but because of the fans. Taker says that he knows his creatures of the night do not like what's happening, but it's for the good of The Undertaker. But there is something in him that just wants to rip Paul Bearer's flesh apart. Ross says that Undertaker's past happened when he was a child and that if he cared to comment on his dark past. Taker says that there was an incident at the Funeral Home and it killed his family. But he's not ready to talk about it yet. All he's concerned about is how he's going to get out of this dark cloud, There's just one way and that may be hurting Paul Bearer. Ross says that if Bearer does reveal the secret somehow if The Undertaker does turn his back on Paul, then what will he do?. Taker begins to say that sometimes in life there's gotta be somebody accountable held for their actions, and whether that be if The Undertaker does something that he will regret, Then maybe the best thing Paul can do to The Undertaker is send him to jail. But if that's not the case. The Undertaker won't regret it at all. Back to the Commentators, and Ross says that The Undertaker is really serious about turning his back on Paul Bearer, he doesn't care what he has to do, Lawler says it seems like The Undertaker is daring Paul Bearer to reveal the secret. The commentators announce that Ken Shamrock is on his way next. Ken Shamrock is on his way to the ring as Jim Ross is in the ring waiting for him. And what a Grueling Battle for the World's Most Dangerous Man at the King of The Ring, not only upsetting Bret Hart, Terry Funk, but the former WWF Champion himself Vader. Shamrock had real tough competition and can have the right to face the WWF Champion at anytime. Ross first congratulates Shamrock on his big King of The Ring victory and says to take everyone through on how hard he fought to win. Shamrock says that last night he not only proved that he belonged in the World Wrestling Federation, but he proved that he can fight with the best and that's exactly what he did. Bret Hart, Terry Funk and Vader, they were all obstacles he had to overcome, and there was a 50% chance that he couldn't win the Tournament, so he had to give it his all, when he made Bret Hart submit, he couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe that he had eliminated the best wrestler of the 1997 King of The Ring Tournament and then when it was down to him and Vader, he knew that Vader was a big obstacle, so he thought to himself what was going to happen, was Vader going to kick his ass and take him out of the Tournament. The fact is Shamrock gave a damn good fight to Vader and Now he is the 1997 King of The Ring. Ross says that Shamrock had been guaranteed a title match, and Shamrock said he was going to reveal it tonight. Shamrock says that he is, Shamrock says that in order to be the best in the World Wrestling Federation, he's gotta beat a champion, and he's respected The Undertaker for a long, long time. He's got nothing but respect for The Undertaker, but the fact is Deadman, the title he's got on his shoulder doesn't last forever, so Shamrock is cashing in his challenge to The Undertaker next week for the WWF Championship. The fans go nuts for the idea, so it looks like it's going to happen, Shamrock vs Undertaker next week for the title. Then suddenly Hunter Hearst Helmsley comes out and tells Shamrock that he's heard enough of Shamrock's crap and now he's going to tell Shamrock to his face. Helmsley says that Shamrock is not the true King of The Ring, he's the real King around here. Two years ago, he won the King of The Ring and he failed to win the WWF Championship at Summerslam 1995, so what does Shamrock think that he can win King of The Ring and win the World Wrestling Federation Championship the next week. Helmsley says that Shamrock should go back to the UFC and play somewhere else while the others like Helmsley can dominate the World Wrestling Federation. Shamrock tells Helmsley if he wants to start something, then do something about it. Helmsley says that he's already done something about it and Helmsley hits a sucker punch on Shamrock. What a right hand, Helmsley just nailed Shamrock and he leaves the ring, Shamrock gets to his feet and he is livid, he runs out of the ring looking for Hunter Hearst Helmsley. (break) A promo is shown of Kurrgan and the Jackyl again, The Jackyl says that he has his man Kurrgan ready to dominate the World Wrestling Federation, and once when Kurrgan runs through the entire list of the WWF Superstars, what he doesn't want. He's going to take it, so people like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Vader, Mankind, Bret Hart, Ken Shamrock and The Undertaker, all the superstars better beware because Kurrgan is coming. Match 4: Goldust w/Marlena vs Tiger Ali Singh w/Bob Backlund and The Iron Sheik Goldust was eliminated from the 1997 King of The Ring, but it still doesn't stop him from getting a match against Tiger Ali Singh tonight. Singh gets a little bit of offense against Goldust but Goldust fights back and hits the curtain call on Singh to get the victory. Winner: Goldust After the Match. Goldust picks up a microphone and says that since he's been to the World Wrestling Federation for so long. But there's been a Canadian Group that's ran around the WWF for too long and that is the Hart Foundation theirselves. Goldust says that Bret Hart whines and complains about everything, and that the Americans have never respected the Canadians. Well, they've respected everyone all over the World, but that doesn't mean they still respect The Canadians, here's the thing, they don't respect The Hart Foundation. So Stone Cold and Shawn Michaels, if they need a third partner for Canadian Stampede. He's in and The Hart Foundation will never forget the name of not only Goldust, but Team USA. It looks like Goldust has stepped up to be the third guy in the Team USA vs Team Canada War for Team USA. (break) Match 5: Terry Funk and Flash Funk w/The Funkettes vs Doug Furnas and Phillip Lafon Suddenly The Funks have united as Terry and Flash take on the team of Furnas and Lafon. Furnas and Lafon get some good offense in against the Funks but The Funks are just too strong for this team and they get the win with Flash hitting the 450 on Furnas to get the victory. Winners: Terry Funk and Flash Funk Backstage, The Hart Foundation are on their way to the ring together as it seems like Bret Hart has something to announce here tonight again. Back in the ring, The Hart Foundation are already in the ring with Bret having a microphone in hand. Bret says that at the King of The Ring, he threw the gauntlet out on Stone Cold Steve Austin and it seems like Stone Cold Steve Austin has not had any trouble in finding partners, because he's got Shawn Michaels and Goldust on his side. But that's not going to stop The Hart Foundation, as a matter of fact he doesn't care if Austin can get Bob Holly or Doink The Clown as his fourth partner. Bret says that last night winning the King of The Ring didn't mean that much to him anyway as a matter of fact, Shamrock can have the victory, it doesn't matter, but either way he will come for the World Wrestling Federation Championship. So there are a list of stipulations that he's added, if Austin's team wins. Then Bret will not get a WWF Title Shot again for one year. However, if Bret's team wins, then Shamrock's already issued the challenge for next week. Bret will get his WWF Title Shot at Summerslam 1997 so he can become the four-time World Wrestling Federation Champion once again. And as far as Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels, they are going to get a little taste of what's going to happen at Canadian Stampede, so Stone Cold and Shawn Michaels, come on out. (break) Match 6: WWF Tag Team Championship Match Owen Hart and British Bulldog w/Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart and Brian Pillman vs Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin Last night, Owen and Bulldog won the Tag Team Titles over Austin and Michaels, but will Austin and Michaels win their titles back and make Owen and Bulldog's reign a short one. Austin and Michaels waste no time going after Owen and Bulldog and we got a pier fourer here. Austin and Michaels have the advantage on their side in the start of the match, but Owen and Bulldog make a comeback in the match and do a good job of wearing down Austin until he makes the hot tag to Michaels. Michaels comes in a house of fire as he hits Owen with a flying forearm and also hits The Bulldog with a forearm. Michaels hits an atomic drop on both men and nails a double flying clothesline taking both men down. Michaels heads to the top rope and nails the elbow on Owen, Michaels sets up for the Sweet Chin Music, but wait a minute here comes Brian Pillman. Pillman starts to jump on Michaels and that's a disqualifaction win for Michaels and Austin. Winners by DQ: Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin
Pillman begins to whip Michaels with a few right hands but here comes Austin. Austin's fending off both Owen, Bulldog and Neidhart but Bret comes in with one half of the Tag Team Title Belts and hits Austin in the face with it. Michaels begins to fight off Pillman by sending him over the top rope, but Bret jumps him from behind. It's now a five on two for Austin and Michaels, and there is no one to help Austin and Michaels. Goldust comes to make the save and does his best to fight off the Hart Foundation, he is able to hit Bulldog with a Powerslam and nail Owen with a bulldog followed by a clothesline. But Pillman stops the rally by hitting him with a DDT. The numbers are too great, Michaels tries to fight both men off but Bret hits him with a low blow and Bret orders the Hart Foundation to pounce on Shawn. Bret then grabs a steel chair and instructs The Hart Foundation to hold Shawn on his back and wait a minute, Bret just hit Shawn in his leg with that steel chair. Bret just nailed Shawn with that chair in the leg. Bret then screams at Shawn screaming at him and look Bret has put that chair in Shawn's leg. Bret heads to the top rope and he's going to pillmanize the ankle just like what Austin did to Plllman at Mind Games. And Bret stomps on the leg on the chair and that had to hurt Michaels. Michaels holds his leg in pain, but wait a minute here comes The Legion of Doom and The Hart Foundation begin to retreat but the damage has been done. Michaels, Austin and Goldust are down and as The LOD begin to check on Austin, Michaels and Goldust. Owen and Bulldog have led pipes and they begin to beat on The Legion of Doom with it, The Hart Foundation get back in the ring and continue their damage. Bret grabs Michaels's legs and hits the figure-four leg lock on the ringpost while The Hart Foundation are continuing to beat down Austin, Goldust and The Legion of Doom, This is sick. Sickening, RAW goes off the air with The Hart Foundation still continuing the damage, And the last image is shown of Bret locking that figure-four really tight on Shawn. Somebody's gotta help Shawn.

WRESTLING NEWS AND NOTES June 15. 1997
SHAWN MICHAELS SUSPENDED RIGHT BEFORE RAW GOES ON THE AIR - Right as RAW Went on the air, Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart got into a pull-apart brawl off screen with officials and agents separating them. Allegedly, it is rumoured that the fight happened when word got out that Bret Hart had an affair with Shawn Michaels's girlfriend Sunny, Michaels would be suspended, but was told to still compete on RAW to team with Stone Cold to take on The Hart Foundation for the Tag Team Titles, After the Match, the Injury Angle with Bret using a chair to Michaels's knee was a way to write Michaels off of suspension. Michaels was originally scheduled to compete in the ten-man tag team match at the Canadian Stampede, but due to the confrontation and suspension. Michaels will not compete at the Canadian Stampede, The punishment of Shawn Michaels's suspension will be one month meaning he will return right after Canadian Stampede.
WCW PUTS ON STELLAR MATCHES AT THE GREAT AMERICAN BASH - Perhaps in one of WCW's epic events, The Great American Bash put one hell of a good show by having four solid best matches, The first one was the anticipated hyped match between Rey Mysterio and Hayabusa, and also the WCW debut of Curt Hennig as he took on Lex Luger in his first WCW Match with Hennig getting the win, also another match that stole the show was Eddie Guerrero and Chris Jericho in a Ladder Match for the WCW Cruiserweight Title with Guerrero winning back the WCW Cruiserweight Championship for the second time, and the main event capped off with one more match of the night as Randy Savage defeated Diamond Dallas Page in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match that lasted 37 minutes longer. President of WCW Eric Bischoff was definitely pleased with how the show went.
BURIED ALIVE MATCH AT CANADIAN STAMPEDE? - It seems like the plan is for Undertaker to wrestle Vader for the WWF Championship in a rematch in not any kind of match, but a Buried Alive Match, it seems like Undertaker may turn on Paul Bearer tomorrow night maybe for Bearer to reveal the secret and reveal Vader's rematch for the WWF Championship with the match being Buried Alive.

Very interesting to see Shawn still get suspended. I wonder if the Screwjob is gonna happen in this world, and Shawn's heel turn as well.

WWF RAW IS WAR - June 16. 1997
Clips are shown of Last Week's attack by The Hart Foundation on Shawn Michaels with Bret attacking the reinjured leg, So it looks like there will be a replacement for Team Austin at Canadian Stampede, but who will be the fifth man to join Stone Cold Steve Austin's team?.
Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross are your hosts for Monday Night RAW as Stone Cold's music plays in the arena as he comes out to a loud ovation. Austin gets a microphone out and it looks like he needs no commentator to talk for him. Austin says that last week, the Hart Foundation crossed the single solitary line when they attacked Shawn Michaels and it damn sure pissed Stone Cold off. Austin says that he may not like Shawn Michaels, but he respects the hell out of him and he hopes he can make it back to the ring as soon as possible. But moving on to Canadian Stampede, Austin has a tough choice to make, although he would like to whip all of the Hart Foundation's ass all on his own, he can't do that, So he's enlisted Goldust and The Legion of Doom to team up with him, but all that's left is one more partner, So Austin will go all night searching for that final partner so they can whip the Hart Foundation's ass at Canadian Stampede, Austin says that he's not one to share his views on the world, but he is an American, he was born in Texas, he was born to do one thing, and that was drink beer and whip ass. Something that Bret and the whole Hart Foundation don't respect about America, Austin says that when Bret Hart left last year, he not only disrespected America, but he disrespected the World Wrestling Federation. Austin says that for the past year, he and Bret have been fighting and fighting, and this whole thing will come to an end. So tonight, he wants any superstar that is back there in the backstage area and he doesn't give a damn who he is. That person walks to the ring and says that he wants to be on Stone Cold's team, then come on out. Then suddenly Mankind's music plays in the arena as he comes out. It looks like Mankind may be offering his services here. Mankind picks up a microphone and says that Stone Cold is right about one thing, He also does respect Shawn Michaels and he hopes Shawn Michaels makes a speedy recovery. But ever since Paul Bearer and Vader turned on him, he's found sympathy in all these fans, now him and Vader are going to come to heads soon, and he won't forget what Vader did to him last week. But since Stone Cold is looking for a fifth man, Mankind wants to be on Stone Cold's team, so he can stick his fingers into all of the Canadians Throat. Austin replies saying that Mankind is the craziest sob in the business, but he respects Mankind for putting his body on the line and he respects Mankind for coming out here and wanting to be on the team, Austin then tells the fans if the fans want Mankind to be a part of Team USA, Gimme a Hell Yeah!. The fans reply with "Hell Yeah". Austin says to remember one thing, he does not trust nobody or no one, he's the captain of the team, not Mankind, so Austin demands that Mankind does not make the orders in this team, just Stone Cold Steve Austin. Mankind replies by saying that he's glad Stone Cold made the right call. Mankind then hugs Austin and Austin does not like the hug, so Austin pushes Mankind back. Austin tells Mankind that he does not want a hug, he just wants Mankind at his best. Then suddenly Bret Hart's music plays as he and The Hart Foundation come out. Bret says that look what we have here, Americans plotting their next moves on the Canadians, and Stone Cold must have suffered too much blood loss after WrestleMania 13 because he found a crazy guy like Mankind as his partner, well last week, if Mankind remembers or if his brain doesn't remember from the beatings he's suffered over the years, Shawn Michaels was dismembered and now he's back in the hospital with a broken leg again. So Shawn, who's the one that has sunny days now?. He does, and he will. Bret says that he knows Stone Cold will not trust his team, because his team will possibly stab him in the back. But here's the bottom line, Bret beat the hell out of Austin twice at Survivor Series and WrestleMania, and at Canadian Stampede with his partners by his side, he is going to whip Austin's ass. But why not wait til Canadian Stampede, let's make an example out of Austin and Mankind and make sure that they do not make it, The Hart Foundation get in the ring and Mankind and Austin almost hold their own against the group but the numbers are too much and here comes Goldust and The Legion of Doom, and here we go it's a brawl to kick off Monday Night RAW. Team USA are able to send Team Canada out of the ring after a 30-second brawl as they make a retreat, Then suddenly Jesse Ventura is on the stage and says that he's seen enough of this chaos unfold, and tonight, Team USA and Team Canada will be in respective matches, not Stone Cold and Bret Hart, so tonight, Owen Hart will go one on one with Goldust, but it won't be for the Intercontinental Title, and as for The British Bulldog, his European Title will not be on the line tonight, but he will take on Mankind in a non-title match. And Neidhart and Pillman, tonight, they will be facing The Legion of Doom and that match starts now, and By The Way. No Team Canada members nor Team USA at ringside, they are banned from all three matches. And we will return with The LOD vs Pillman and Neidhart. (break) Match 1: Tag Team Match The Legion of Doom vs Jim Neidhart and Brian Pillman Tag Team Action is underway between The Legion of Doom against Brian Pillman and Jim Neidhart, the commentators talk about how star studded this RAW is going to be, not only do we see Mankind vs Owen Hart and Goldust vs The British Bulldog, but tonight, the WWF Championship will be on the line as Ken Shamrock who won King of The Ring eight days ago will challenge The Undertaker for the title. The LOD start off with some good momentum, but Pillman and Neidhart are able to fight back in the match with them wearing down Hawk until Hawk makes the hot tag to Animal. Animal comes in a house of fire peppering Pillman and Neidhart with clotheslines and punches. Hawk and Animal set up for the Doomsday Device on Pillman but Neidhart pulls the ropes down crotching Hawk. Animal tries lunging at Neidhart but Pillman hits him with a DDT to pick up the win. So it's Team Canada 1-0. Winners: Brian Pillman and Jim Neidhart Clips are shown of Last Week with The Nation of Domination cleaning house firing Mabel, Slick and Crush, and coming up next, the leader of the Nation, Faarooq is in action as he battles Flash Funk.
Match 2: Faarooq w/Ahmed Johnson, Kama and D' Lo Brown vs Flash Funk w/The Funkettes and Terry Funk A new attitude in the Nation of Domination, but it looks like Flash has company not only in the form of the Funkettes, but Terry Funk. Flash gets in some good offense against Faarooq but Faarooq is able to make a comeback in this match and totally dominates Funk as he hits the dominator on him to get the victory. Winner: Faarooq After the Match. Faarooq begins to beat on Flash some more but Terry Funk gets in the ring to try to help Flash as he hammers away at Faarooq, but here come the Rest of The Nation ganging up on The Funks, Faarooq sends Terry over the top rope while Ahmed hits a pearl river plunge on Flash. Faarooq picks up a microphone and says that this right here is the destruction that's going to happen, this is now a new Nation of Domination, a Domination that will continue to demand the respect that they've wanted, it doesn't matter who takes it from them, they demand it. Then suddenly Crush's voice is heard. Crush is in a motorcycle and says that he can't remember hearing so much crap in his entire life, Faarooq never fired Crush, because Crush quit and allow Crush to introduce The Nation to the real brotherhood, Another Motorcycle revs up and it's 2 bald people and a long-haired dude, it looks like Brian Lee, Ron and Don Harris, the last time we saw Brian Lee was in the WWF in 1995 as a part of a group. Crush says that this is a real brotherhood, The Disciples of Apocalypse. This is a real brotherhood, they live together, they ride together and they damn sure fight together, and the fight is on. The Nation and The DOA are going at it. All Hell has broken loose, This is nothing more than a Street Fight, we've seen chaos in the first hour, but it looks like we are back to more chaos in the middle of the first hour. The Nation are able to retreat, Crush picks up the microphone and says that at Canadian Stampede, he wants a piece of Faarooq one on one. So that Crush can beat Faarooq's ass. The War between The NOD and The DOA has just begun. Backstage, Vader and Paul Bearer are in their locker room. Bearer says that The Undertaker may be on their side, but Vader's here to get a first hand look on what happens between Shamrock and The Undertaker, Bearer says that no matter who wins, Vader will challenge for the WWF Title, because he lost the WWF Championship at WrestleMania and he wants to get it back. Bearer reminds Undertaker if he loses the WWF Championship or whether he disobeys him tonight, he is going to reveal the secret someway, somehow, it may not be tonight, or it may not be next week, but when the time is right, he will reveal it so The Undertaker better be loyal to Paul Bearer or else he will tell it all. (break) A clip is shown once again of Kurrgan and Don Callis, Callis says that he has booked this monster to be the greatest of the World Wrestling Federation and he's going to prove it because next week, he is bringing this beast of a man to action and he will destroy the World Wrestling Federation like no other. He will lead this monster to Championship Success and he will be laughing all the way to the bank. Match 3: Bradshaw vs Billy Gunn w/Road Dogg Bradshaw issued an open challenge to one of the Outlaws, but he will get it in this one on one match as he takes on Billy Gunn. Gunn and Bradshaw have an all out wrestling match considering that both these men are Texans, Bradshaw almost gets the win by hitting the clothesline from hell on Billy, but Road Dogg comes in to attack Bradshaw causing a DQ win. Winner By DQ: Bradshaw The Outlaws begin to beat down on Bradshaw until suddenly BARRY WINDHAM comes out to attack The Outlaws. We haven't seen Barry Windham in the WWF since 1993 when he was a part of the Four Horsemen. Windham helps Bradshaw up and they both fight the Outlaws off with Bradshaw hitting Road Dogg with a clothesline from hell and Windham nailing another clothesline taking Billy out. The Outlaws are able to retreat, Bradshaw picks up the microphone and says that he would like to introduce The Outlaws to Barry Windham, and that they are the New Blackjacks and they are going to kick The Outlaws's ass. What a surprise we've seen tonight here in the first hour, we've seen the debut of The Disciples of Apocalypse and also, the return of Barry Windham, what else could we see?. (break) Match 4: Non-Title Match Mankind vs Owen Hart And what a way to kick off the second hour of RAW with a non-title match between Mankind and the Intercontinental Champion Owen Hart. Owen and Mankind lockup center in the ring with Mankind getting the advantage on Owen. Mankind begins to gain the upper hand on Owen by hitting a backbody drop and follows it up with a clothesline. Owen eventually fights back and makes a comeback in this match. Owen heads to the top rope and almost gets the win by hitting the missile dropkick on Mankind but Mankind kicks out at 2. Owen and Mankind take the fight outside of the ring with Owen tossing Mankind into the steel steps. Owen tosses Mankind in the ring and whips Mankind into the ropes and nails a spinning heel kick on Mankind. Owen covers Mankind but Mankind is able to kick out at 2. Owen does a good job of wearing down Mankind but Mankind is able to fight back by hitting a jawbreaker on Owen. Mankind battles back in the match and whips Owen into the ropes but Owen puts his head down and goes for a clothesline. Mankind tries a kick but Owen hits him with an enziguri and what a match this is between Owen and Mankind. Owen grabs Mankind and goes for a Suplex but Mankind counters it and nails the double-arm DDT on the Intercontinental Champion. Mankind could be setting up for the Mandible Claw. Owen turns around and Mankind goes for it only for Owen to counter the claw into the Russian Leg Sweep. Owen then heads to the top rope and goes for a move but Mankind gets to his feet and hits the Mandible Claw on Owen. And Owen has to pass out here. Mankind has made the Intercontinental Champion submit. Winner: Mankind
Before RAW takes us to break, the commentators announce that another superstar is set to join the World Wrestling Federation, a young light heavyweight by the name of Taka Michinoku and he will be in action at Canadian Stampede against Brian Christopher. Lawler laughs saying that he's heard about Taka Michinoku and he's from Japanese, so that means Christopher will knock the chow mein out of his teeth. (break) Match 5: Vader vs The Brooklyn Brawler We have not seen The Brawler in a long time and it may look like we might not see Brawler's face again as he takes on the former WWF Champion Vader, Vader completely beats The Brawler down and totally squashes him by hitting Brawler with the Vaderbomb to get the victory. Winner: Vader Backstage, Ken Shamrock is warming up, could this be the World's Most Dangerous Night to become the WWF Champion, could he do the unthinkable like he did at the 1997 King of The Ring when he defeated Bret Hart, Terry Funk and Vader to get to this moment, it could happen?. (break) Match 6: Non-Title Match British Bulldog vs Goldust w/Marlena Bulldog wastes no time going right for Goldust after Goldust's entrance, the referee has not rang the bell yet and Goldust is still in his entrance gear. Bulldog is able to send Goldust over the top rope and he does his posing, but Goldust gets back in the ring and surprises Bulldog with a quick rollup to get the victory in this quick match, and what an upset, Goldust has upset the European Champion. The posing of the British Bulldog came back to bite him in the end. Winner: Goldust In the locker room, The Hart Foundation are mad and throwing things as they yell about Stone Cold getting away with this, it hasn't been a good night for the Hart Foundation certainly. The Commentators take us backstage to Jesse Ventura saying that next week, Goldust and Mankind will make the odd tag team as they take on Owen Hart and British Bulldog for the WWF Tag Team Championship. Wow, so it looks like a big match for next week's RAW.
In the ring, Shamrock's music plays in the arena as he comes out to a loud ovation, the new 1997 King of The Ring winner is on his way to perhaps become the World Wrestling Federation Champion and make the biggest upset of his career, then suddenly as Shamrock starts posing in the ring, Hunter Hearst Helmsley comes from behind to attack Shamrock. Just like Last Week, Helmsley is now attacking Shamrock, he is beating the hell out of Shamrock and it looks like he wants to ruin Shamrock's championship match. Helmsley then continues to pummel Shamrock like an animal. The referees and officials try to stop Helmsley from attacking Shamrock but Helmsley is possessed screaming at Shamrock saying that there's only one king in the WWF. Shamrock tries to fight back against Helmsley but Helmsley knees him in the gut and beats him down and Helmsley grabs Shamrock and hits him with the pedigree, Shamrock is out with that devastating pedigree, but will he able to compete now?. Because the WWF Title Match is next. Match 7: WWF Championship Match The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer vs Ken Shamrock It seems like Shamrock will be okay for this match, but that pedigree sure took Shamrock out. Shamrock and Taker lockup center in the ring but it's pretty obvious that Shamrock might not do too much from that assault by Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Undertaker hits the back of Shamrock and hammers away at the midsection and punches him in the back and ribs. Shamrock tries to fight back by hitting hard right hands and Shamrock has the champion reeling and Shamrock sends the Champion to the outside with a dropkick and Undertaker lands on his feet. Shamrock then tries a pescado off the ropes but Undertaker catches him and bearhugs him straight into the ringpost. Undertaker grabs Shamrock and tosses him back in the ring and punches away at the ribs of Shamrock and goes for the signature ropewalk but Shamrock counters it into an armdrag, what a nice maneuver. Shamrock gets to his feet but Undertaker charges and Shamrock knees him in the face and heads to the top rope and hits a high diving cross body on The Phenom. Shamrock goes for the cover but Undertaker kicks out at 2. Shamrock whips The Phenom off the ropes and goes for a back body drop but Undertaker counters it into a jumping DDT and goes for the elbow drop but Shamrock rolls out of the way and Shamrock grabs Undertaker by the arm and applies an armbar but Undertaker fights out of it for 30 seconds and hits Shamrock with a sidewalk slam. Taker goes for the cover but Shamrock is able to kick out. Taker takes Shamrock into the buckle and knees him into the ribs and hits him in the ribs with more punches. Taker runs off the ropes and goes for a move in the corner but Shamrock elbows out of it and punches away at Taker and whips Undertaker into the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Undertaker ducks and Taker goes for his signature clothesline but Shamrock rolls out of the way and runs off the ropes and nails a spinning heel kick to The Undertaker. Shamrock goes for the cover but The Phenom is able to kick out. Shamrock takes Taker's head into the buckle and begins to punch away at him. Shamrock charges at him but Taker knees him in the face and goes for a clothesline only for Shamrock to duck it and hit a clothesline of his own, Shamrock still a little banged up but is still desperate to win the WWF Championship. Shamrock heads to the top rope again but Undertaker grabs him by the throat and goes for a chokeslam but Shamrock punches out of it and hits a fisherman's suplex on The Undertaker. Shamrock goes for the cover but the Deadman again kicks out. Shamrock grabs Undertaker and attempts another Fisherman's Suplex but Undertaker counters it into a suplex of his own. Undertaker gets to his feet and picks up Shamrock whipping him into the buckle and Taker hits a clothesline in the corner. Undertaker grabs Shamrock and nails him with snake eyes but as he goes for the big boot. Shamrock surprises The Deadman with a powerslam. What an amazing counter, Just as Shamrock capitalizes. Taker gets to his feet and starts a slugfest with Shamrock. Taker tries a right hand but Shamrock locks in the sleeper hold on Undertaker but Undertaker counters it into a suplex of his own and Taker gets to his feet by hitting a leg drop on Shamrock. Undertaker goes for the cover again but Shamrock is able to kick out. Taker calls for the chokeslam again and he grabs Shamrock by the throat but Shamrock elbows out of it and nails Undertaker with a devastating kick. What a kick by Shamrock. That kick straight knocked out The Undertaker. Shamrock holds his ribs still injured from the Pedigree that Hunter Hearst Helmsley delivered to him earlier on. Shamrock heads to the top rope one more time and goes for a moonsault but Undertaker rolls out of the way. Shamrock is still clutching his ribs and that allows Undertaker to connect with the chokeslam. Taker goes for the cover but Shamrock believe it or not still kicks out at 2. Undertaker then sets up for the Tombstone Piledriver but Shamrock fights out of it and nails a German Suplex on The Undertaker. Shamrock sets another cover but Undertaker kicks out again. Shamrock and Taker both get to their feet and Taker goes for a clothesline but Shamrock hits a Belly to Belly Suplex taking Undertaker down and it looks like we may see a new WWF Champion here. But wait a minute here comes Hunter Hearst Helmsley again, the referee is distracted by Chyna. Helmsley grabs Shamrock and goes for another pedigree but Shamrock fights out of it and nails Helmsley with a Belly to Belly. But that distraction alone allows The Undertaker to surprise Shamrock and hit the Tombstone Piledriver on Shamrock, but he sees Chyna and Helmsley. Bearer instructs Undertaker to cover Shamrock but Undertaker sees Helmsley and Chyna running up the ramp, Undertaker doesn't want to win the match that way. Taker grabs Helmsley and hits him with a chokeslam on the concrete floor. Taker then returns to the ring and look at this, Vader just came through the crowd and has attacked Shamrock. Winner By DQ: Ken Shamrock
Taker sees Vader begin to beatdown Shamrock, and he gets in the ring to try to confront Vader. Vader and Undertaker are going nose to nose but Paul Bearer is telling Undertaker not to do it, Bearer tells Undertaker "remember the fire", remember everything, Deadman. Taker begins to come to his senses, but turns around and clocks Vader with a right hand and Paul Bearer gets out of the ring and look at this, Undertaker has defied Paul Bearer and Vader. Vader cost Undertaker his match, but Undertaker is still the WWF Champion. Taker whips Vader into the ropes and hits a big boot and chokeslams him to the mat and Undertaker grabs his title belt and it looks like he is done with Paul Bearer, Bearer grabs the mic and tells Undertaker to turn around when he speaks to him, he's done made his casket and in 2 weeks time, he will reveal it, because next week, he and Vader are going to the gravesite to prepare for The Undertaker's grave, and then in 2 weeks, June 30, 1997. He will tell everybody The Undertaker's secret and that will be it, but as far as Vader's rematch goes. At Canadian Stampede, The Undertaker's grave will be prepared because at Canadian Stampede, The Undertaker's career will already be at an end, because it will be Vader vs The Undertaker one more time in a Buried Alive Match for the WWF Title, What?. A Buried Alive Match?, Taker grabs a microphone of his own and tells Vader to go ahead and bury him, and tells Paul Bearer to go ahead and reveal the secret, go ahead and hurt the creatures of the night, but it won't make a damn difference because Vader and Paul Bearer are going to have to kill him to get this title and to reveal the secret. Undertaker stares down Vader and Paul Bearer and what will that secret be in two weeks time as RAW goes off the air.

WWF RAW IS WAR - June 23. 1997
Clips are shown of last week with The Undertaker turning away from Vader and Paul Bearer with Bearer revealing that he would reveal the secret in two weeks time, but first, they were going to dig The Undertaker's grave, because Vader's rematch for the WWF Title at Canadian Stampede would be a Buried Alive Match. The Undertaker is here, but Vader and Paul Bearer will be at the gravesite tonight. And also Mankind and Goldust, the odd duo will challenge for the Tag Team Titles against Owen Hart and British Bulldog.
Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross are your hosts for RAW is WAR as the lights go out in the arena and the bell tolls, and when the lights do indeed come back on, The Undertaker is standing in the ring. It looks like Undertaker is not in a very good mood or in an emotional state. Taker states that last week he had enough of doing what Paul Bearer told him to do. So he had to do it, now it may not be popular, but the secret needs to be told, so next week whether Paul Bearer reveals it or not, he's going to tell his side of the story, but he's not concerned about it for a while, all he's concerned is Vader. At WrestleMania 13. The Deadman promised that he would beat Vader and he vowed to take this title from him and that's exactly what he did. Taker says that as champion, it's not always been easy. Sometimes, being the champion means that you gotta make sacrifices and he gave Ken Shamrock his fair shot last week. But had it not been for Paul Bearer, Hunter Hearst Helmsley or Vader getting in his business, He would've beaten Shamrock and would have taken his soul anyway. Taker says that he knows Vader and Paul Bearer because they are digging his grave set for Canadian Stampede, and that leads him to Canadian Stampede. Taker tells everyone what happened at Buried Alive, he was close to burying Mankind alive, but all of a sudden Vader of all people helped out and buried The Undertaker alive, and to this day, he still has a grudge against them, WrestleMania 13 was not that time to get revenge for that, but Canadian Stampede will be. Taker says that as big and strong as Vader is. The Undertaker is much more dangerous and much more powerful than ever. So what Vader has to think about now between 13 days and Canadian Stampede, is that when the burial plot for Vader begins, so too will his funeral. Then suddenly Hunter Hearst Helmsley's music plays in the arena as he comes out with Chyna, why is Helmsley interrupting The Undertaker?. Helmsley says that maybe The Undertaker forgot last week, he chokeslammed him on that concrete because The Undertaker wanted a fair fight with Shamrock, well let Helmsley make something clear, he wanted Shamrock hurt so that The Undertaker can take it all, but The Undertaker did not want to, so now. Helmsley's been thinking about it all week and tonight, since Undertaker wants to hand title shots out, well tonight, give Helmsley his opportunity, give Helmsley the chance to prove that he can beat The Undertaker instead of Ken Shamrock. And then, he will have no problem not only taking the title but kicking his dead ass. Taker says that with all the language Helmsley is using will come back to bite him and that he's digging his own grave, so if Helmsley wants the title tonight, then he'll have no problem taking him down like he did last week. He's on. But it will not only be a Deadman Ass Kicking, It will be Helmsley's soul that he takes tonight. Undertaker stares down Helmsley and Chyna and Helmsley replies back with a crotch chop to The Undertaker. So tonight, it will be Helmsley vs Undertaker for the title on RAW. (break) Match 1: Barry Windham w/Bradshaw vs Road Dogg w/Billy Gunn This is Windham's first WWF Match since 1993 as he takes on Road Dogg, last week, Windham made his return to RAW and aided Bradshaw against The New Age Outlaws, and it is now confirmed that a match between these four has been added for Canadian Stampede, it will be The Blackjacks taking on The New Age Outlaws, Dogg gets in some offense against Windham but Windham battles back by hitting a big boot to the face on Dogg. Windham gains the momentum but a distraction by Billy Gunn allows The Dogg to fight back. Dogg goes for the legs of Windham in this match, but Windham fights back and tries to end this match by hitting a powerslam on The Road Dogg, but Dogg kicks out at 2. Dogg battles back and pokes the eyes of Windham and tries to go for a clothesline but Windham counters it into his signature clothesline lariat on The Road Dogg, meanwhile Bradshaw and Billy are fighting on the outside as Windham covers Dogg to get the victory. And what a win for one half of the Blackjacks. Winner: Barry Windham
Backstage, Vince, JR and The King take us to The Hart Foundation with Bret saying that he's very confident that Owen and Bulldog are going to retain their tag team titles against Mankind and Goldust, but tonight, he promises that they won't interefere in the match. Because he has faith in Owen and Bulldog, Bret says that Canadian Stampede is on the horizon and they can't wait to show the American Fools why Canadians mean business. (break) Backstage, Ken Shamrock is being interviewed by Kevin Kelly. Shamrock says that last week he was close on winning the World Wrestling Federation Title, he had The Undertaker beat, but if it hadn't been for Hunter Hearst Helmsley, he would still be the WWF Champion. And he'd be the one taking on Vader at Canadian Stampede. Shamrock says that he has no regrets, he will get the title one way or the other. But at Canadian Stampede, he wants to take care of Hunter Hearst Helmsley one on one in the ring. He wants to show Helmsley how much of a real king Shamrock is. Shamrock says that if Helmsley wins the WWF Championship, that would be all fine and dandy because either way Shamrock will take that belt off of Helmsley before that reign even begun.
Match 2: Kurrgan w/Don Callis vs Flash Funk w/The Funkettes An interesting debut for Kurrgan as he battles Flash Funk in this one on one match, Flash may not even have a chance, he goes straight for Kurrgan with right hands and even hits a dropkick but it does not faze the big man at all. Kurrgan then dominates the match and puts Funk away with an Iron Claw Chokeslam and pins him to get the win in this match. Winner: Kurrgan What an impressive victory for Kurrgan here tonight in his debut match as he is now getting set to dominate the World Wrestling Federation and take it by storm, but just as Kurrgan is set to do more damage to Flash. Terry Funk runs in and hammers away at Kurrgan with right hands but none of them faze Kurrgan. Kurrgan grabs Funk and military presses him over the top rope to the floor. Wow, Kurrgan is looking strong in his debut here tonight, he has destroyed Flash and Terry Funk here tonight. Who may stop this monster, even Undertaker himself might watch out if Kurrgan challenges him for the title down the line. (break) Match 3: Tag Team Match Tajiri and Jushin Thunder Liger vs Doug Furnas and Phillip Lafon This is certainly going to be an interesting Tag Team Match between these four competitors, as these four are looking to be in Tag Team Championship Contention. Liger and Tajiri start the match off strong, but Furnas and Lafon are able to fight back, and just when Tajiri and Liger have the momentum going in their favor, Furnas and Lafon do a double switch and Lafon surprises Tajiri by hitting a German Suplex and gets the win for his team, what a victory for Furnas and Lafon who have knocked off Tajiri and Jushin Thunder Liger. Winners: Doug Furnas and Phillip Lafon (break) Match 4: WWF Championship Match Hunter Hearst Helmsley w/Chyna vs The Undertaker This could be a huge night for Hunter Hearst Helmsley as he challenges The Undertaker for the WWF Championship. Helmsley's challenged for the WWF Title before and it was at Summerslam 1995, but he failed to win the title, but can he win the title here tonight on RAW?. Helmsley starts out first by hitting Undertaker with right hands and rocks him into the buckle but Undertaker throws him square into the buckle and hits hard right hands at Helmsley and The Phenom tosses Helmsley into the buckle and Taker grabs Helmsley by both hands and lifts him up for a chokehold and Taker throws Helmsley down. Helmsley goes to the outside and tries to get a breather but Taker spots him and hits Helmsley with a clothesline knocking him down. Taker tosses Helmsley in the ring and hits an apron leg drop on the outside. Taker gets in the ring, but he's distracted by Chyna and that allows Helmsley to fight back. Helmsley whips Undertaker into the ropes and nails him with a high knee. Helmsley goes for the cover but The Deadman kicks out at 2. Helmsley continues to keep the momentum up and almost gets the win by hitting his signature spinebuster but Undertaker kicks out at 2. Undertaker somehow battles back by reversing a sleeper hold into a back suplex. Taker makes a comeback in this match and hits his signature clothesline followed by the Snake Eyes, Taker whips Helmsley into the ropes and hits a big boot and then follows it up with a leg drop. The Phenom goes for the cover but Helmsley is able to kick out at 2. The Phenom then grabs Helmsley by the throat and goes for a chokeslam but Helmsley fights back and hits a suplex on The Undertaker. Taker gets to his feet but Helmsley brings him back down with a DDT. Helmsley goes for the cover but Undertaker is able to kick out at 2 again. Taker gets back to his feet and eventually hits his signature flying clothesline on Helmsley. The Phenom then grabs Helmsley by the throat and signals for the chokeslam but Helmsley fights out of it and goes for the pedigree but Undertaker counters the pedigree and catapults Helmsley into the buckle. Taker then grabs Helmsley by the throat and nails him with a huge chokeslam. Undertaker then signals for the end, Taker then scoops Helmsley up and hits him with the Tombstone Piledriver and pins Helmsley to get the win and retain the title for another day. Winner and Still WWF Champion: The Undertaker After the Match as Undertaker celebrates his victory, Paul Bearer's voice is heard on the titantron as he and Vader are in the gravesite. Bearer says that last week they said that they were going to be at the gravesite for the burial of The Undertaker at Canadian Stampede and that's exactly what they're doing because he always keeps his promises. Bearer says that for 3 months, The Undertaker's held something that Vader wants back, the World Wrestling Federation Championship that is around his shoulder. At WrestleMania, what The Undertaker did was a fluke, he proved that he can cheat to take the WWF Championship just like he did 20 years ago when he cheated his family out of their death, but now next week, Paul Bearer is ready to open the box, because he's stayed loyal to The Undertaker for all those 20 years and he vowed not to give away the secret, but Undertaker pulled the final straw on him, so now Undertaker has to pay the price, but for now this is the grave that Vader is planning, Vader's dug graves of his own, he dug Shawn Michaels's grave at Summerslam, he dug Bret Hart's grave, he's dug the grave of others that have left the World Wrestling Federation for good. And now another one is on Vader's hitlist, at Canadian Stampede, The Undertaker is about to be buried alive and not only are they going to bury The Undertaker, they are going to set that grave ablaze cause as Undertaker is reaching for his last breath while Vader is pouring all of that dirt on The Undertaker's body, they will set that grave on fire and The Undertaker will never be seen or heard from again, Bearer remembers what happened in the last Buried Alive Match, remember when it took all of the superstars to bury The Undertaker alive, well Vader won't need any help. Vader will bury The Undertaker for good, he won't need anyone to bury The Undertaker, and for that, Bearer will be back to manage the three-time World Wrestling Federation Champion which will be Vader. Vader continues to shovel the grave as he screams at The Undertaker to rest in peace. Bearer says that next week he also hopes The Undertaker is ready because the secret is coming out and there is not a god damn thing The Undertaker can do about it. Taker looks at the titantron and is fuming mad but he sees Helmsley up to his feet and Undertaker hits another tombstone on Helmsley taking Helmsley down to the mat again. Undertaker then looks down at Helmsley and hangs his head down, but what will that secret be, what does Paul Bearer know?. What happened 20 years ago?. Only Paul Bearer and The Undertaker knows.
(break) Match 5: The DOA (8-Ball and Skull) w/Crush and Chainz vs The Public Enemy We've seen some big debuts from Barry Windham and Kurrgan, but this is the third debut for another one as The DOA'S 8-Ball and Skull who were brought to the WWF last week by Crush take on The Public Enemy. And this is a hard hitting catch as catch can match with the DOA gaining the advantage but The Public Enemy are able to fight back, then suddenly The Nation of Domination are seen on the entryway, Faarooq has a match with Crush at Canadian Stampede. Skull and 8-Ball get the win with by hitting a double chokeslam on Rocco to get the victory. Winners: The DOA After the Match, The DOA see the Nation in the entryway and they stare down The Nation telling them to come on down. The Nation begin to head down to the ring but they think better of it, and the war in 13 days between Crush and Faarooq will happen at the Canadian Stampede, it looks like the two will be on a collision course before that. Backstage, President Jesse Ventura is interviewed by Kevin Kelly. Kelly tells Ventura that he asked for this moment, Ventura says that the WWF Championship between Vader and The Undertaker must have a decisive winner in this buried alive match, so with that, Paul Bearer and Vader think they may have a plan, but remember in October of 1996 at In Your House: Buried Alive, there was a lot of intereference to bury The Undertaker alive when The Undertaker took on Mankind, so to ensure that this match must remain pure, there will be no intereference in this Buried Alive Match, nobody will interefere to help out Vader, if someone thinks about doing so. Then they will be suspended and fined from the World Wrestling Federation. So it looks like the Buried Alive Match will be a straight up match. There will be no intereference at all. (break) Match 6: Brian Christopher vs Bob Holly Brian Christopher has a big match at Canadian Stampede as he takes on the debuting Taka Michinoku, so he gets some action as he takes on Bob Holly. Holly and Christopher fight a good straight up match with Holly gaining the advantage but Christopher is able to battle back in this match and gets the win by hitting the Tennessee Jam on Holly with Lawler cheering for him on commentary. Winner: Brian Christopher
(break) Match 7: WWF Tag Team Championship Match Mankind and Goldust vs Owen Hart and British Bulldog This could be a big opportunity for Mankind and Goldust as they could walk out the WWF Tag Team Champions, they are a strange duo, but this is for American Pride. Mankind starts the match off with Bulldog with Mankind gaining the upper hand on Bulldog. Bulldog is able to fight back and tags in Owen. Bulldog and Owen whip Mankind into the ropes only for Mankind to hit a double clothesline on both men. Mankind then makes the tag to Goldust. Goldust whips Owen into the ropes and hits a back elbow on Owen. Goldust goes for the cover but Owen kicks out at 2. Goldust continues to gain the momentum for his team but Owen and Bulldog fight back with Bulldog surprising Goldust with a clothesline on the outside. Mankind grabs a steel chair and threatens to hit The Bulldog with it, but the referee tells him otherwise. Owen and Bulldog do a good job of wearing down Goldust for a good portion of 5 minutes. Goldust tries to fight back by hitting a DDT on Owen, but as Goldust attempts to tag in Mankind. Bulldog knocks Mankind off the apron. Bulldog and Owen wear down Goldust again but Goldust fights back by nailing a powerslam on Bulldog. Goldust then eventually makes the hot tag to Mankind as Mankind takes out Owen and Bulldog with stereo clotheslines. Mankind hits a piledriver on Owen and nails Bulldog with huge right hands into the buckle and hits a running knee on Bulldog and Mankind is on a house of fire. Mankind has never been this fired up since Paul Bearer and Vader turned their back on him. Owen fights back and nails Mankind with an enziguri and that allows Goldust to send Owen and himself over the top rope with a clothesline. Bulldog grabs Mankind and sets up for the Running Powerslam but Mankind fights out of it and nails him with a Double arm DDT taking Bulldog down. Mankind then sets up for the Mandible Claw on The Bulldog, he might get it locked in and he does but wait a minute here comes Brian Pillman and Jim Neidhart, Neidhart and Pillman go straight for Mankind and Bret Hart is making his way down to ringside. Winners By DQ: Owen Hart and British Bulldog
It is a 5 on 2 on Mankind and Goldust, The Legion of Doom then show up to try to even the odds, but it's too much, Bret's on the outside liking what he sees until suddenly Stone Cold Steve Austin comes through the crowd and tackles Bret down to the mat and punches away at him. It's a war here on the Warzone. It's a preview of what we will see in thirteen days. And of course Referees and Officials try to break up this brawl, but it may take a lot of people to break this brawl up. Ross, McMahon and Lawler sign us off but they close us out with a clip of Paul Bearer and The Undertaker. A clip is shown of Paul Bearer and The Undertaker's history to "Turn The Page" by Bob Seger to end RAW is WAR, What secret will Paul Bearer have on The Undertaker next week, then just as RAW is WAR begins to end, Paul Bearer and Vader are shown again on the same gravesite. Bearer says that the show is over, and it's almost time for next week, that means Undertaker's world is getting ready to crumble, because the seven days The Undertaker has will be over because once this secret is out, The Undertaker will have nobody to blame but himself when Paul Bearer shocks the world, because he promised everyone that if Undertaker disobeyed him, he would reveal it, but what did he do, he turned his back on Paul Bearer. That was a grave mistake and now Undertaker must be executed for his actions, next week, The Phenom's secret will be out, the execution will begin, and then Sunday, July 7, 1997 will be the Burial for The Undertaker. Bearer then throws some ashes into the grave saying "Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust Deadman".

Preshow Match: 8-Ball and Skull D. Doug Furnas and Phillip Lafon in a Tag Team Match.
Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross are your hosts for Canadian Stampede as the camera shifts to the gravesite in which either The Undertaker or Vader will be buried in, And also a big announcement, Paul Bearer has been barred from ringside for this buried alive match and if anybody tries to interefere on Vader's behalf, then they will be suspended indefinitely. Match 1: Tag Team Match The New Age Outlaws vs The Blackjacks What a way to kick off Canadian Stampede with a big tag team match between The New Age Outlaws against The Blackjacks. The Blackjacks get off to a strong start knocking The Outlaws out of the ring and this brawl shuffles to the outside as both these teams are out of control in the early going of this match and even in the show, the fight eventually gets back to the ring with the Blackjacks still gaining the advantage, but The Outlaws fight back after Road Dogg whipped Windham off the ropes into a low bridge by Billy Gunn on the outside. Windham gets to his feet only for Billy to knock him out with a clothesline. Billy tosses Windham back in the ring where Road Dogg attacks him and punches away at Windham. Dogg and Gunn continue to wear the momentum down against Windham but Windham explodes with a double clothesline knocking both men down and makes the tag to Bradshaw who comes in a house of fire. Bradshaw hits The Road Dogg with a boot and does the same thing to Billy. Bradshaw hits a fallaway slam on Road Dogg and goes for the cover but Billy breaks up the count and that allows Windham to come in and hit a diving shoulder block taking down Billy and it leaves Dogg and Bradshaw in the ring with Dogg trying a juke and jive but Bradshaw catches him with a powerslam and goes for the cover but Road Dogg kicks out at 2. Billy gets in the ring and tries to hit Bradshaw with a rocker dropper but Bradshaw throws him off and nails Gunn with the clothesline from hell but wait a minute Gunn handed something to Road Dogg before he came in the ring, it looks like a slapjack. And Road Dogg hits him with it and that's a disqualifaction none the less, The Outlaws have been disqualified. Winners By DQ: The Blackjacks
After The Match. The Outlaws continue their damage to the Blackjacks by using that slapjack, but Windham picks up a leather strap and whips The Outlaws with it having the upper hand to the Blackjacks and look at these four teams fighting on the outside, it's an unusual way to kick off Canadian Stampede with a brawl on our hands but the fans love it. Bradshaw grabs a steel chair and hits Billy in the face with it while Dogg and Windham are fighting on the other side, referees and officials try to break the two from fighting, but there's nothing they can do. These four may fight all the way to the streets of Calgary. The four eventually make it to the entryway with Dogg hitting Windham with a potted plant that's used for the entryway giving The Outlaws the upper hand in this brawl again. Bradshaw gets back to make the save for Windham and the four fight out of sight, the commentators announce that they will have a camera if anything happens. Backstage, Kevin Kelly interviews Paul Bearer about the secret he revealed last Monday Night on RAW. Bearer says that The Undertaker forced his hand and that he had to do it, but he's not concerned about being barred for the Buried Alive Match, because he has confidence in Vader. He can beat The Undertaker on his own, at Summerslam of last year, he proved he could beat Shawn Michaels without any help. But tonight if somehow The Undertaker gets through Vader and buries him alive, then Undertaker will have to worry for the rest of his life because his brother Kane is somewhere lurking in the shadows, Bearer says that tonight The Undertaker will face the gallows of the execution which is his own grave, a grave that his mother and father was buried in and then after, The Undertaker will remain in that grave never to reunite with his own mother and father, but forever be in hell for eternity. Match 2: Crush w/The DOA vs Faarooq w/The Nation This is redemption for Crush as he takes on his former boss Faarooq who has vowed alongside his buddies that he would take The Nation down once and for all. Faarooq gets the advantage by attacking Crush but Crush fights back by hitting a superkick and whips him into the ropes where he hits a nice back body drop and follows it up with a clothesline sending Faarooq over the top rope. Faarooq fights back and rakes the eyes and tries to take Crush into the steel steps but Crush reverses and throws Faarooq into the steel steps, The Nation try charging at Crush but are stopped by the D.O.A. and Crush tosses Faarooq back in the ring in where Faarooq fights back and nails a thunderous clothesline taking Crush down but Crush kicks out at 2. Faarooq gets the momentum back in his favor punching away at Crush but Crush fights back and bodyslams Faarooq and follows it up with an elbow drop but Faarooq kicks out and what a back and forth matchup between these two, but the commentators announce that The Outlaws and The Blackjacks are still fighting, but then all of a sudden the Outlaws and The Blackjacks are making their way to the stands it seems like these two teams were fighting all the way to the stands. Bradshaw grabs a soda from a fan and drinks it and spits it in Road Dogg's face. The four eventually disappear leading to the match to continue. Crush seems to have the upper hand by hitting the Heart Punch on Faarooq but the referee is distracted by D' Lo Brown and that allows Ahmed to get in the ring and hit Crush with the Pearl River Plunge. Ahmed pulls Faarooq untop of Crush and gets the victory. The DOA then enter the ring to try to get at The Nation but The Nation begin to escape and Faarooq has stolen this match with help from his new Nation. Winner: Faarooq
A video clip is shown between Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Ken Shamrock with Helmsley costing Shamrock the WWF Championship a few weeks ago and also Helmsley hitting the pedigree on Shamrock. Tonight it's the 1995 King of The Ring vs the 1997 King of The Ring. Before Helmsley and Shamrock make their entrances, the camera cuts back to the Outlaws and The Blackjacks still continue their brawl to the backstage area with referees and officials trying to break things up. Match 3: Hunter Hearst Helmsley w/Chyna vs Ken Shamrock King vs King is the marquee for this next match as the 1995 King of The Ring winner Hunter Hearst Helmsley takes on the 1997 King of The Ring winner Ken Shamrock. And it is no doubt going to be a solid matchup between these two. Shamrock starts off by throwing Helmsley down to the mat and taking him down but Helmsley fights back by taking Shamrock down with a waistlock. Shamrock fights back and goes for the anklelock but Helmsley rolls out of the way. Helmsley rolls to the outside and gets back in the ring, the two continue to lock up with Shamrock grabbing Helmsley by the hair and hitting a side headlock but Helmsley hits a shoulder block on Shamrock. Shamrock battles back and hits an armdrag on Helmsley. Shamrock goes for the arm but Helmsley pokes him in the eye and punches away at Shamrock and Helmsley whips Shamrock into the ropes but Shamrock misses a clothesline and hits a clothesline of his own knocking down Helmsley. Shamrock grabs Helmsley and whips him into the ropes and nails a back elbow on Helmsley. Helmsley staggers only for Shamrock to take him out of the ring with a clothesline. Helmsley then drags Shamrock outside of the ring and nails an uppercut on Shamrock and tries taking him into the steel steps but Shamrock reverses and takes Helmsley into the steel steps and Shamrock is in the zone here. Shamrock begins to get distracted by Chyna and that allows Helmsley to surprise Shamrock with a sneak attack from behind. Helmsley now takes control of the match and does so for the better part of this match and wears down Shamrock by punching away at the ribs of Shamrock and tries to go for an abdominal stretch and Shamrock fights out of the stretch and hits a hip toss taking down Helmsley but Helmsley fights back and hits a spinebuster only for Shamrock to kick out at 2. Shamrock fights back and hits Helmsley with a few right hands and goes for a back body drop but Helmsley hits a facebuster and Helmsley nails the spinebuster on Shamrock and that was an awesome spinebuster. Helmsley goes for the cover but Shamrock is able to kick out. Shamrock fights back and hits a german suplex on Helmsley. Shamrock makes a comeback in this match and attempts to put Helmsley away but Helmsley fights back and nails Shamrock with a DDT. Helmsley goes for the cover but Shamrock kicks out again at 2. Helmsley goes for the pedigree once again but Shamrock counters it and hits a fisherman's suplex but Helmsley kicks out at 2. Shamrock and Helmsley then exchange blows in the center of the ring. Shamrock whips Helmsley into the ropes but Helmsley reverses it and goes for a clothesline and Shamrock tries a hurracarana but Helmsley reverses it into a powerbomb and what a back and forth match this has been between these two men. Seesaw battle, Helmsley then grabs Shamrock and goes for the pedigree again but Shamrock reverses it and hits a belly to belly suplex on Helmsley and now Shamrock is feeling it. Shamrock is in the zone and he grabs Helmsley's ankle and hits the anklelock on Helmsley and Helmsley has nowhere to go and he taps out. Shamrock has won the match against Helmsley. And what a victory for the World's Most Dangerous Man. The Future of the World Wrestling Federation is definitely Ken Shamrock knocking off a huge victory over the Blueblood. Winner: Ken Shamrock A video clip is shown of Summerslam that will be on PPV on August 3, 1997.
Match 4: Kurrgan w/The Jackyl vs Terry Funk This Kurrgan has been on a tear since coming to the WWF and tonight he will battle a legend in Terry Funk. Funk starts the match off by hitting a few right hands on Kurrgan but none faze the big man and that allows him to hit Funk with a boot to the face knocking him down. Kurrgan completely just dominates and squashes Funk while the commentators say that Funk hasn't been the same since his brutal WrestleMania match against Mankind. Funk tries fighting back again by hitting more punches but Kurrgan just overpowers Funk and tosses him over the top rope like he was a piece of meat. Kurrgan grabs Funk by the hair and tosses him into the steel steps and brings him back in the ring. Funk battles back and throws right hands and even hits a dropkick but still Kurrgan won't go down. Kurrgan grabs Funk by the hair and hits the Iron Claw Slam on the Texas Legend and pins him to get the victory. What a squash by Kurrgan, complete domination. Who can stop this monster of a man?. Winner: Kurrgan Backstage, Dok Hendrix is with The Hart Foundation. Bret says that he's excited that they are in Canada tonight and he and his team are ready to show America what they're made of, especially that loudmouth idiot Stone Cold Steve Austin, and that queer Goldust, and plus that deranged multitated freak known as Mankind and also the warriors that paint their faces like it's Halloween, The Legion of Doom. Bret says that tonight is his one step to the WWF Championship and if he doesn't, then the WWF Title is not important to him at this stage in his career. Bret says if they win tonight, then Undertaker or Vader better be saving up all their energy after one buries the other alive tonight. Because at Summerslam when he wins tonight, at Summerslam, he's going to win back the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship for the fourth time and prove to everyone that he's the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. Match 5: Brian Christopher vs Taka Michinoku The fans are happy to see a new debuter in Taka Michinoku, but the crowd is somewhat not into this match but this is a good match between these two future light heavyweights. Lawler predicts that Christopher is going to send Taka back to Japanese tonight, Taka and Christopher put on a good match despite the crowd not getting into the match. Michinoku gets some momentum in and hits a suicide dive on the outside taking down Christopher but Christopher fights back and goes to the top rope and nails a diving cross body on Michinoku. The commentators predict that the Light Heavyweight Division might be taking over because there's Tajiri, Jushin Liger and Flash Funk in the Light Heavyweight Division. Christopher fights back and hits a clothesline off the top but Michinoku kicks out at 2. Christopher whips Michinoku into the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Taka reverses it and hits a move he calls the Michinoku Driver and picks up the victory in his debut match, what a victory for this 23-year old, he's going to be a future prospect here in the World Wrestling Federation. Winner: Taka Michinoku A video clip is shown of The Undertaker, Vader and Paul Bearer set to "Don't Cry" by Guns N' Roses with clips of Paul Bearer and The Undertaker together from 1991 through 1996 and Paul Bearer betraying The Undertaker at Summerslam as well and also set to Undertaker winning back the WWF Title at WrestleMania 13 followed by the guitar solo with Paul Bearer screaming that Undertaker burned the funeral home to the ground and he killed his mother and father and assumingly his brother but saying his brother Kane was alive. Dok Hendrix interviews The Undertaker for the Buried Alive Match. Taker says that it's been too much talking for the past few weeks, Paul Bearer revealed his secret and yes, the fire happened, but now the only person that is going to pay for Paul Bearer's sins is Vader, at WrestleMania. Taker came for his title and he beat him to win that title, but now tonight, he's coming for his soul and he's glad that Paul Bearer will not be at ringside because Undertaker was going to wait to bury Paul Bearer too but he guesses that will be too soon. Taker says that his only concern is that he knows his brother Kane is alive but if Kane is really alive and comes to the World Wrestling Federation, then the only thing The Undertaker will do is say he's sorry for what he did to Kane. He wants Kane to realize that it's not his fault, but as far as Vader is concerned. It's time to rest in peace. Match 6: WWF Championship Buried Alive Match Vader vs The Undertaker Undertaker does not wanna waste anytime as he takes off his entrance jacket and doesn't even bring the lights up as he charges to the ring with a purpose, but Vader meets him on the outside and here we go these two are exchanging blows on the outside, it's worser than what happened with The Outlaws and The Blackjacks earlier tonight. Undertaker gets the advantage and hits a hard right hand taking Vader down to the mat. Taker gets Vader to his feet but Vader blocks a right hand and hits Undertaker in the face and Vader throws punches at Undertaker and tries to take Undertaker into the steel steps but Undertaker reverses and throws Vader into the steel steps. Undertaker grabs Vader and tries to send him into the gravesite and he does and Taker and Vader are fighting near the grave. The Phenom tries to hit Vader with a chokeslam on the grave but Vader counters it and throws hard right hands at The Undertaker and Vader knocks Undertaker off the gravesite and Vader follows Undertaker back in the ring and goes for a piledriver but Undertaker hits a back body drop sending Vader down to the concrete. Taker tosses Vader in the ring and goes to the apron in where he hits a jumping leg drop on Vader. Taker gets in the ring and kicks Vader in the gut and goes for the ropewalk but Vader reverses it into a powerslam, unbelievable move by Vader countering the ropewalk like that. Vader then gets out of the ring and grabs a steel chair and remember this is all legal in this matchup. Vader hits Undertaker in the face with a steel chair and Lawler screams that this has to be over now. Vader begins to punch away at the head of The Undertaker and look at this The Undertaker is busted open and we see Paul Bearer at the backstage area looking at the dominance shown by Vader on the monitors. The Undertaker is now bleeding profusely. Vader continues to hammer away at the head of The Undertaker. Vader whips Undertaker into the buckle and hits a hard clothesline taking Undertaker down to the mat but Undertaker sits up. Vader then continues to punch away at the head and headbutts Undertaker again to the mat. Undertaker is staggering but he throws hard punches at Vader and Taker hits another uppercut on Vader and he does it again and Vader seems to be rocked. Taker whips Vader into the ropes but Vader reverses it and goes for a back body drop but Undertaker hits a jumping DDT taking down Vader. Taker and Vader are both down and the blood is still pouring from the head of the champion. Taker gets to his feet and clotheslines Vader over the top rope to the floor and Undertaker takes the fight to Vader back on the outside. Taker grabs the steel steps and hits Vader in the face with it and this match has already gotten brutal. Undertaker begins to smear the blood off his face for a bit and punches away at Vader and sends him over the barricade with a big boot to the face. And Taker and Vader are fighting all the way to the fans and now they're fighting all the way to the gravesite. Vader fights back and hits a bodyslam on the gravesite taking Undertaker down and Vader gets out of the grave but wait a minute what is Vader going to do now?. Vader then goes on the rampway of the entrance and runs off the rampway to the gravesite hitting a big splash on The Undertaker!. Vader put his own body on the line to try to threepeat the WWF Championship. Vader then rolls Undertaker into the grave and it looks like we may be seeing the end here. Vader begins to grab the shovel and tries to dig the grave but Undertaker escapes and hits Vader with a clubbing blow to the back and pulls Vader into the gravesite and both these men are exchanging blows into the gravesite and Undertaker tries to get out of the grave only for Vader to kick Undertaker in the gut and hit a Russian leg sweep in the grave. Vader starts to try to bury The Undertaker alive but instead thinks better of it and takes Undertaker out of the grave, it seems like Vader wants to hurt Undertaker more. Vader begins to punch away at The Undertaker and Vader picks up Undertaker and hip tosses him back in the rampway. Vader then gets to his feet and punches away at Undertaker. Undertaker tries to fight back and hits a few punches but Vader reverses by slamming Undertaker into the ringpost and tosses him back in the ring. Vader continues to gain the momentum and Vader gets out of the ring and begins to look for something and it looks like handcuffs. Vader has got handcuffs. Bearer is watching this on the monitors backstage with a smile on his face. Has Vader gone too far here?. Vader then puts The Undertaker's hand on the ring ropes and begins to handcuff him to the ropes. Undertaker is now handcuffed and he's got nowhere to go. Taker can't use his right hand at all. Taker tries to fight his way through it with left hands and does so but Vader knees him in the face and hits clubbing forearms, this has gotten out of hand. Vader picks up the chair again and clobbers Undertaker in the back while he's still handcuffed and wait a minute here comes Paul Bearer on the rampway, he's been banned in this match, but it looks like he's instructing Vader to come here. Vader gets out of the ring and goes to the rampway and Bearer hands Vader his belt screaming at Vader to whip him to hell. Vader gets the leather belt and gets in the ring. Taker realizes what's happening and tries to fight it but Vader beats him mercifully with the leather strap to the back and Taker is still handcuffed to the top turnbuckle. Bearer has left the rampway. A referee gets in the ring and tries to reason with Vader but Vader grabs the referee and shoves him over the top rope to the floor. Vader is heard screaming to Undertaker "Burn in Hell, You Murderer". Vader spits in Undertaker's face and whips him again and the pain has gotta be excruciating. Vader then takes the belt down and starts to pose and goes for a charge in the corner but Undertaker kicks him in the face while still handcuffed to the ropes. Undertaker has gotta find a way to break the handcuffs. Vader tries charging again, but look. Taker just ripped the handcuffs off his wrist and Vader is shocked. Undertaker then stalks Vader and Vader tries begging off but Undertaker throws hard punches at Vader and knocks him down with a big clothesline. Taker then gets the leather belt and begins to whip the hide out of Vader. And Vader is screaming in pain. Taker then kicks Vader in the gut and goes for the ropewalk in which he finally connects with it but Vader still won't go down and Taker kicks him in the gut and hits him with a bodyslam and Undertaker runs off the ropes and hits a leg drop on Vader. Vader gets to his feet but Undertaker has the chair and Undertaker hits Vader in the face with it and payback is a bitch. Taker begins to rip the mask off of Vader just like he did at WrestleMania 13 and he does so and now Vader has been busted open. Taker picks up Vader and goes for a chokeslam but Vader grabs him by the throat as well and both these men are choking each other out. Taker gets the strong advantage and goes for the chokeslam and connects with it but there's no pinfalls. Taker's gotta get Vader in the grave here. But wait a minute Undertaker is signaling for the Tombstone Piledriver. Taker goes for the tombstone but Vader counters it and hits a DDT on The Undertaker and both men are down. Vader then gets to the top rope and goes for a splash but Undertaker gets to his feet and Taker punches away at Vader and goes to the top rope with Vader and both these men may break the ring here. Undertaker grabs Vader in a suplex position and hits a superplex and both men are down again. Taker and Vader get back to their feet and both these men are exchanging blows, something has got to give. Taker goes to send Vader over the top rope with a clothesline but Vader ducks and tosses Undertaker out of the ring. Vader then gets out of the ring and begins to punch away at Undertaker. Taker then fights back and tries to go for a tombstone again but Vader slips out of it and bodyslams Undertaker onto the concrete floor and that had to hurt The Undertaker even more. Vader begins to signal for a powerbomb on the rampway to the gravesite, this may be too much but Undertaker back body drops Vader and that momentum puts Vader in the gravesite and now Undertaker gets to his feet. And look at The Undertaker, he just launched himself from the rampway to the gravesite onto Vader, what a match between these two. Taker and Vader get to their feet and Vader hits a low blow on The Undertaker and Undertaker goes down and Vader then looks to hit Undertaker with the shovel but Undertaker rolls out of the way and Undertaker looks to crawl out of the gravesite but wait a minute he's got some dirt and just as Vader tries to get him. Taker surprises him with dirt in the eyes and Vader is blinded by the dirt. Vader can't see. Undertaker gets to his feet and hits Vader with a tombstone piledriver on the gravesite. And this may be over. Taker then takes the Mastadon in the grave and starts to dig the shovel and Taker digs the grave and all it will take is a lot of burying to bury Vader alive. And look, The Grave is completely filled. Vader is buried alive. The Undertaker has won the Buried Alive Match and he is still the WWF Champion. Winner and Still WWF Champion: The Undertaker What a hard fought victory for the Man From The Darkside, The Undertaker is still the WWF Champion. But it came with a price, he got beat with a leather belt, busted open with a chair and also got himself handcuffed, Paul Bearer is on the monitors shouting and screaming saying that Undertaker's going to pay. He keeps screaming over and over, but the cameras cut to the rampway with Undertaker kneeling on the rampway and posing with the WWF Title Belt. Vader has been buried alive, The Undertaker has survived another grueling title defense, but will he take on Bret Hart at Summerslam?. This next match will come down to it. Clips are shown of Team USA vs Team Canada set to "Sunday Bloody Sunday" by U2 with Austin and Bret's feud beginning in 1996 all the way to the 1996 Survivor Series, WrestleMania 13 and Backlash. Bret grabs Goldust and slams him into the buckle and look at this, Goldust is being beaten down and here comes Team USA. It's a fistfight here with Team USA retreating but Goldust is still trapped. Owen got the tag in this and Owen hits a backbreaker on Goldust and takes Goldust into the buckle and Owen goes for a move but Goldust rolls out of the way and hits a flying clothesline. And Bret makes the tag to Owen and Owen goes right to work on Austin but Austin sends Owen over the top rope with a clothesline and throws him into the ramp and stomps away at him. Austin then tosses Owen back in the ring, but wait Stu Hart just grabbed Austin and Austin's going after the entire Hart Family. Bret stops it and now Team USA is going at it with The Hart Family, Austin gets back in the ring but here comes Owen. He just rolled up Austin. Owen gets the win for his team. Winners: The Hart Foundation But it's not over yet, all hell has broken loose, The Hart Family get in the ring to help The Foundation attack Team USA. Austin's got a chair and he hits Neidhart with a steel chair but now the brothers are beating Austin up and the security, officials, superstars, Jesse Ventura and others come down to stop Austin. And wait a minute, the cops are putting the cuffs on Austin. Just like Vader did to The Undertaker last night. Austin is eventually subdued by the cops and it seems like security maced him as well. But Austin is still not done fighting. Bret gets in Austin's face but Austin spits on him and spits on the Canadian Flag as well. And Pillman flips the bird at Austin and they all escort Austin out of the ring. Austin still has his cuffs behind his back but gives the middle finger to the Hart Foundation behind his back. He does not care at all. The Hart Foundation continue to celebrate their victory as Stu, Helen, Diana, Owen's wife, Bret's wife and kids all get in the ring and even Pillman's wife Melanie and the children are there too. What a victory for The Hart Foundation. Bret can finally get a WWF Title Match at Summerslam and he has Owen to thank. Give props to Owen Hart saving Bret's chances of getting a title match against The Undertaker. What a celebration for the entire Hart Family, an emotional night for the Hart Foundation, but they have reason to celebrate. And this is a special moment in Canada. No matter what state you're in. Australia, Japan, England, Spain, anywhere across the country. You gotta experience this moment. Canadian Stampede goes off the air with all of the Hart Foundation celebrating.

The Formation of the Outlaws leaving a very heelish way impact on the tag division. And are booked for sure to have attitudes. Hopefully they can take hold a little earlier in this world. The Nation takes it's new turn with new ''more blacker'' nation. Really interesting to see Shamrock get the best of Triple H. I wonder where Triple H's fate will go moving on after such a defeat. But with Shawn Michaels in the horizon, I still think were getting DX. But, it seems big things are in the air for Shamrock. Maybe WWF title shot soon? Maybe Shamrock and Hart could happen this fall? Taker and Vader tears the house down the writing of this was excellent, and much better choice of rival to Taker in this time period and the main event lives up to it's real life counterpart. The Hart Foundation leaves with a win. I am very curious to see how Fall/Winter of 97 plays out. With Hart, Shamrock, Austin, Michaels and some more. Very solid showing setting us for Summer Slam.
