Because the cost and risk of releasing six figures at once as online exclusives would be huge, and they could have been left severely damaged by it.

If Jakks did non WWE LIcesenced classic wrestling figures, kinda like spam Wrestling Legends Line, I would buy every one of them. COuld relay fill in the gaps to some non WWE owned names from the NWA AWA and other regonals.

I don't need or want the LOTR line to be a full line like the CS line because 1) I cannot afford it and 2) it just couldn't live that long. But if JAKKS did a LOTR with a similar distribution pace as those spam figures you mentioned, it would be a nice way to go about it. I mean have a figure every other month and limited to 3,000 or 5,000 with them being only available at online retailers. I feel they would sell. Because the cost and risk of releasing six figures at once as online exclusives would be huge, and they could have been left severely damaged by it. True but I feel LOTR 2 would have sold better than LOTR 1. Plus the breakdown and accessories looking like this: - Andre the Giant (2.5) - Jeff Hardy w/ towel (3) - AJ Styles w/ hoddie & X Title (2.5) - Samoa Joe w/ towel (2) - Jim Cornette w/ racket (1) - Terry Taylor (1)

I just wish they'd do 1 Legend per wave until we get all the prototypes that we had seen. If they decide, based on sales, whether or not they want to go forward with making more, fine, but I want what we've seen. I don't think I've ever collected a toy line with more prototypes that never saw the light of day. It's starting to get up there in number.

So many prototypes (of new faces) shown but never released: CS- Blackjack Mulligan - Arnold Skaaland - Linda McMahon - Sandman - Batista (LJN-style) - Randy Orton (LJN-style) LOTR- Scott Steiner - Jim Cornette - Andre the Giant - AJ Styles - Samoa Joe

Think about all the current roster TNA figures that have never come out as well. Figures that I would have personally loved to have. As far as current wrestling product, I try my best to watch every episode of Impact Wrestling. It's been 10 months since I watched a WWE program (3 hours of Raw made watchable only by my heckling friend and copious ammounts of alchohol does not equal a good show) and the last PPV I watched was WM 28, which sucked. So of course the action figure line that I would prefer would be the TNA toy line, but they just can't seem to get the stuff out quick enough.

Yeah the current stuff had so many prototypes that were never released its heartbreaking. I don't tend to follow the current figures, I do guys like Ink, Inc, Tara, Sting, Anderson (as Sting), and others were never released. I had hoped those Anderson as Sting figures would be released so I could do a few head swaps!

In my opinion, JAKKS can say whatever they want, but I think it just boils down to the fact that JAKKS just doesn't care anymore.

Does anyone know anyone at Jakks? If so you should send this post to them and see if they can send it up the chain. It would be great to get some kind of response

They could even do a series exclusive for road events. Think of these! Possible names associated with TNA presently that could fit in with the Legends series: Abyss (Old school) Al Snow AJ Styles (Old School) D'lo Brown Hulk Hogan Jeff Hardy Jeff Jarrett ('94-96 attire!) Kurt Angle Samoa Joe (Old School) Sting Eric Young (Old School) Dudleys Eric Bischoff RVD (on the fence) Christopher Daniels Mike Tenay Don West (take this figure on the road I bet it sells better than Dixie) Wrestlers that have appeared in TNA since 2002: Ken Shamrock Curt Hennig Perry Saturn Syxx Pac New Jack Justin Credible Terry Funk Sandman Randy Savage Johnny B Badd Scott Hall DDP Sabu Scott Steiner Rick Steiner Vampiro Lex Luger Glen Gilbertti Monty Brown Konnan Shane Douglas Nasty Boys Jerry Lynn Curry Man Sharkboy LA Park Roddy Piper Jimmy Hart Dory Funk Jr what about trinity? Or chyna or Jackie?

It’s really a shame what an afterthought the TNA line is. I think people underestimate it. TNA was in town this weekend for the big show and at both the Fan Fest and the event itself the figures were flying off the shelves. I talked to Jimmy Jay and he said he can never keep them in stock. I recently got back into them and the ebay prices for them are sky high for the most part. I don’t get why they can’t get these in stores and start putting more regular series out. Around the time Hulk signed with them DI2 was everywhere, Targets had them and they never really shelf warmed, they always went. It would be nice to see something different than the crap that’s on the shelves like today at Kmart with 15 basic Cena’s sitting there. Jeff Hardy TNA figure prices are sky high online. People want his figures. No reason why I shouldn’t be able to go down to Toys R Us or Walmart and get my kid a Jeff Hardy figure. The TNA line only shows up in little random spurts here and there, its odd. Jakks is missing out big time, wish they would get their head out of their ass.

I could drive around to the Kmarts in my area and pick up Amazing Red, Eric Young, Hernandez, and Samoa Joe from Series 2. And nothing has sold from Series 9 at my TRU except for all of the Hardys and Aries. The line is treated as an afterthought because those buying figures treat it as an afterthought. I'm sure there are areas where these things fly off the shelves, but this doesn't happen everywhere. And stores like Walmart and TRU want items that will sell everywhere, not just regionally. I love the TNA line myself, it's just the truth of the matter.

I'm actually really enjoying the TNA shows at the moment and would love to be able to build a collection of current and former stars. Hopefully TNA can get bigger as a company and be taken more serious, I won't hold my breath though.

I agree completely here. I really was hoping for that Samoa Joe and AJ Styles in Basic Attire they were awesome and would be perfect with Jakks collectors. The Jim Cornette was another I really wanted to get along with a Basic Series Jeff Jarrett (Not the classic) that showed up on one occasion. I was also very excited about that Scott Steiner that was shown to. I hated it when these were cancelled and now only Elites are released. I have hundreds of basic jakks figures and really wish they'd release the ones shown and start back up on the RI and Legends series. come on jakks do it for the fans, do it for the collectors.
