I just looked at a few photos on WWE.com from the match last night and saw they've got a new design for the cage. It looks like WCW's cage, very plain, looks like actual chain-link fence, rather than something that was constructed to perfectly fit a wrestling ring. I went through the thread from last night really quick to see if this topic had been played out, and it didn't look like it got too much attention. I also saw someone post and say that WWE had placed their logo on the supports. How thoughtful. Major thing I noticed is how wide the spacing is in the fence, it's perfect for the toe of a wrestler's boot to fit, to assist climbing. Good idea.  For those who, like me, didn't watch the PPV. |

Cole also mentioned that the new cage is about a foot taller. I personally like the look of it. The fencing has a ton of give to it, which I guess is better for the well being of guys getting thrown into it. Although, I do like a stiffer cage.

From a photographer perspective, this is 100x better. All of those braces that ran through the middle of the cage was such a giant pain. The cage looks much more simple now.

I like it, I will miss the giant support at the top it used to have but it still sort of has it.
Only thing that looks crap to me is the size of the door.

Looks okay. I didn't notice all that much difference. Looks cleaner now though.

It looks much smaller to me. It seems like it's just smaller than someone standing on the top rope when you used to have to jump to reach the top of it. The gaps are certainly more usable which should be great,

I noticed it when it was up in the air at the PPV. I dig it. Nothing too crazy different, but a nice update. No problems with it.

I like it. It looks cleaner without the cross bars on it.
I think I heard Cole say something about them, "reinforcing" the cage to be able to contain HHH and Lesnar.

Looks like some guys will have a hard time doing anything off of the top of the cage. Platforms in the corners. If anything it will be easier. |

I like it. I did keep thinking Lesnar was going to bust through one of the side panels on Sunday, though, since they had some give to them. The thing I found extremely ironic is that they had an 'old school steel cage match' inside of a brand new steel cage.
