Most of my collection has came from retail. I don't exactly live close to anything aside from a Walmart so if it's something older like legends or a series that was skipped, i go online. But as stated 95% of my collection was bought at retail.

Retail for current figs, buy the ones I've missed at conventions and toy shows - no shipping cost and tax included.

I'm a store hunter, that's half the fun!

If it's a must have figure or series, I pre-order at RSC. It's really hard to find any good figures at retail in my area because they never stock them. I was lucky enough to find some E19 and E20 earlier in the year but that was not typical of what I find.

I used to hunt a lot, but I started my collection about a year ago. I buy and sell online now. It's way more convenient and just as affordable in most cases. I open about 75% of my collection, so I don't mind buying used in most cases. I pre-ordered a couple cases of new elites this year, but stopped because of the relitive ease I've had at finding them in stores..... So, I may start hunting again.

Call around, but lately that's been quite hit and miss.

I do all three..but I order from ringside the most. But the only stores around me that isn't a 40 plus minute drive are walmart and big lots..and I've scored gems at both. Every time I go to a bigger city and look around at their stores all I find are the usual suspects or nothing (literally Target) at all.

I mostly preorder online and since I typically only get one or two figs a set it isn't the end of the world on my wallet ( tho still not cheap ) lol.
I do wait for retail if the price for the fig is too high. I didn't wanna pay preorder prices for b27 ryback so I did hunt it down at retail but most of the time I just order to safe myself the hassle and gas money.

I do both but I buy mostly online. Just easier. If its too expensive online like e21 ryback when he first went on sale then I wait to hunt.

I always like to go to the store, just for the surprise of what they might have there. I would call ahead sometimes, for instance to hold my Kevin Nash or Jericho. A figure that is highly sought after. I would use Ebay to find a figure I may of missed, such as Elite 12 Kane.I will by online if I can get the figure for a cheaper price, for example Miss Elizabeth 14.99 Amazon.
