I know you guys are pissed, but think about it this way. You guys are probably the only ones who are pissed, and I mean no disrespect by that at all. The general crowd doesn't even have a reason to care about Axel yet so I'm sure they didn't care about his theme yet either.
Maybe he'll get the Barrett treatment and get 3,000 different versions of the same song in one year's time.

Just heard the remake not to long ago and I still hear a hint of Mr. Perfect in there except to far lesser degree compared to the previous theme everyone heard on RAW. To me, I think that's enough to keep a solid theme for Joe Hennig. I'm not sure if I understand why some individuals are irate about this though, it doesn't sound bad at all.

Sounded the same on Smackdown as it did on Raw to me. I wasn't really listening though. I'm just pissed they changed his name to Curtis Axel. I mean, we know he's Larry "The Axe " Hennig's grandson, and we know he's "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig's son. I can see the parallels in "Curtis Axel", but for God's sake, why not " Curtis Axel Hennig", or something of the sort? I just feel like the WWE thinks we're all stupid or have dementia sometimes..... I mean, Michael Mcgillicutty was bad enough. Guess I'll just have to get used to calling the former Joe Hennig/Michael Mcgillicutty, Curtis Axel. ..... UGGGGGGHHH!

I kinda like the new version, and how the parts of the Mr. Perfect theme comes in at around 26 seconds. It's a lot more subtle and I think it highlights it well. That being said, damn it, I miss his generic screamo music

I absolutely LOVE him using a remix of his dad's theme. I just really wish they would just call him Joe Hennig... Or even just create a new first name, but USE THE 'HENNIG' NAME, it's gold!

Wtf happened to that otherwise "perfect" entrance theme??
WWE, shame on you!

This thread is exactly why Vince McMahon hates the internet and probably INTENTIONALLY screws with the marks just to see them blow gaskets and rant about stuff.
So McGillicutty comes out with a song last week that you could very easily hear his father, Mr. Perfect's, theme in. The internet rejoices! He's a future World Champion and he should end The Streak, feud with Cena, win the Royal Rumble and his spot in the Hall of Fame is all but a certainty.
WWE changes the theme....the internet is done with Curtis Axel. He's been totally ruined because his theme has less of his fathers theme in it now, which to the internet, for some reason is important.
The bottom line is that if you can talk, you can talk no matter what your theme is. If you can wrestle, you can wrestle no matter what your theme is. The Undertaker could walk out there to the theme song from Wheel of Fortune, and you know what? He's putting on the best match of the night. The problem with Joe Hennig is that he can't talk OR wrestle, and the very short time he used a theme similar to his fathers theme was probably the high point of his tenure as "Curtis Axel".

Absolutely ANYTHING is better than Michael McGillicutty imo. It's just a reminder of the god awful New Nexus and his tag team with Husky Harris which was just terrible I thought, and lost all credibility for Hennig teaming with him.

Why change something that adds to his character? Heyman acknowledged his name change was to honor his father and grandfather, a way to keep the Henning name alive. Most people associate Hennig as Mr. Perfect, a guy who has a very memorable entrance theme. Why does WWE have to change that? It added to his character just a little bit more and it's gone.

3 versions over the span of 1 week. "End of Days" 2013, it seems.

The very latest version of his theme is pretty sick. Its the perfect mix between his fathers theme and his own. Hopefully they stick with it this time.
As far as Barrett is concerned. The last End of Days was pure awesomeness. I sware that was one of my top favorite themes of the past 10 years. Why they ever changed it in the first place is mind blowing.
And did I read someone say Axel can't wrestle? I'm rolling on the floor at that comment.
