You have the rumble and 2 mitb's for title shots so introducing KoTR might be too much. However they could do it on NXT and have maybes the semis and final or raw at a ppv with the winner getting a spot on the main roster, could be a good way for new talent to make an impact I would scrap one of the MITB cases to be honest. If nothing else, let the King of the Ring be able to "turn in" his crown for a title shot when he chooses (much like the MITB case is). Only difference is Id let the MITB winner as well as the KOTR winner choose who they cash in on so that there is some sort of mystery to it. |

Well it would be better than Breaking Point, Fatal 4 Way, Capitol Punishment, No Way Out/No Escape and PayBack xD
COME ON WWE THIS WHOLE NEW YEAR NEW PPV GARBAGE IS GETTING OLD !!! BRING BACK THE KING OF THE RING PPV !

Yea, I don't know why they got away from doing tournaments - I always enjoyed watching them.
I think it worked best when they had the preliminary round matches on the shows leading up to the PPV - then have the final 2-3 rounds on the PPV itself. A good tournament is 5-6 rounds, but that tends to get a little tedious to watch all on one PPV. Splitting it up this way makes it a little more watchable and still give the winner some great "iron-man" bragging rights.

I dont get it. Its an extremely easy and logical choice to use a proven concept like this for a PPV which is instantly different from the rest making it a good idea to buy it. Yet they dont use the concept or if so waste it in one episode. Make it a PPV!

I loved KOTR. The unpredictability with the match ups is what sold me. I wouldn't even mind if they got rid of the MITB PPV and replaced it with KOTR. Then the winner of the KOTR received a MITB briefcase. It'd make the tournament seem that much more important and the winner would build up creditability before cashing in. And then there would only be one briefcase floating around instead of two.
Or, I'd love for them to do a one night tournament for the WWE title. Just like they did with WM IV. And have the winner be someone who you wouldn't have thought could win. Like Bryan tapping out Ryback or something.

Absolutely. They are so worried about gimmick PPV's they forgot about this. It would absolutely work. You have a tournament (which everyone loves) and you have 2 title matches on the card. Instant sell. Make the first round gimmick matches if it's that important.
Then you've set up one of your Summerslam main events.

Outdated concept. WWE can barely get any of its title belts prestige much less a tournament championship with no belt.

I love tournaments but being the "king" seems a little dated of an idea. They have to bring legitimacy to winning it, just parading around in a majestic king attire doesn't cut it. Remember Sheamus' Irish elf king? That was lame.

The best money in the bank matches were at Mania period. Plus you got to add 8 guys that were big names mid card named in that match to the biggest stage of the year. Then you have kotr were min is and there you go. |
