Whats wrong with a girl getting pregnant at 16? It's legal. There is nothing wrong with that. You really don't know the answer to that? Besides having sex when they're not emotionally mature enough to handle it and besides getting knocked up and having a severe negative effect on their lives not to mention the negative effect on their kids life being raised by a young, uneducated, probably single, mom? Besides all that? Nothing at all is wrong with it. I agree but some teen moms actually give good support for their children and are ready but you rarely see that

Woah, a bit over the top. What do you have against pregnant women? And what is wrong with girls getting pregnant at a young age (I mean 16+)? Just because a girl gets pregnant doesn't mean she is stupid. Get your head out of your snobby ass. He isn't saying girls are stupid and I doubt he is snobby. He is making the wise observation that babies are having babies. At 16 your a still a child with no life experience who is being thrust into a very difficult situation, physically and mentally. Forget the economical impact of having a child think about the psychological. Not just the child but the parent. I'm not saying all 16 year olds are incapable if being good parents. I'm sure there are success stories but they are probably rare. As far as this generation being lost your still too young. My generation(I'm 30) is looking better. I too thought that our generation would lack leadership and would struggle. I see light at the end of the tunnel for us because of all things the Internet. The Internet has made us wiser and our voices can be heard i forums like this. Even though this is collectibles forum here we are discussing a social issue. He really did say that girls are stupid. They have smiles on their faces but don't realize they are stupid and look like whales on steroids. His entire post just screams snobbiness based on the fact that he is judging girls based purely on them being pregnant. But anyway, it's hardly a wise observation, considering it's something that has always happened (again, the number has fallen almost by half in the last 20 years). Pregnancy at the minimum legal age is something that has always happened and something that will always happen. To your point about generations failing, I have never thought that any generation is possible to destroy society. With more and more technological advancements, the more intelligent the human race becomes. Sure, there will be ignorant and less intelligent people, but that is true for any generation. For example, look at how many people are literate compared to 100 years ago. Whats wrong with a girl getting pregnant at 16? It's legal. There is nothing wrong with that. They don't have the life experience or the perspective or the education or the finances. They have no business being moms. I know this is going to come off as condescending, but when you're older and you have some perspective you'll understand.

I know a person who had a child really young, and she is a brilliant mother, and was right from the start.

Not that I think it's acceptable, but teens giving birth is far less prevalent today than it was hundreds of years ago. People use to legally get married at 14 or younger. I still think there's states that allow for people to get married at 15 or 16 years old. Your perspective for loathing them is actually a generational viewpoint.
I think this generation is incredibly judgmental and over analytical. Every choice we make no matter how frivolous or minute seems to carry a deeper political or philosophical meaning to people than ever before.

My thoughts on this generation: Boy, your music sure does suck. Turn that crap down and do your homework.

Every parent I've ever seen has to futz their way along, some better than others. They draw on their life experiences and experiences of others to do the best they can. Teenagers don't have that life experience. They don't have the financial resources. They're not emotionally mature. Teens have no business having kids.

My generation is fine. I worry about the Baby Boomers, when they all become elderly the economy may have some troubles.

Well damn dude way to be rude. I'm in the same generation and even I'm not foolish enough to call pregnant girls stupid or whales. Your post just makes the opinion that most people have on our generation just a little more factual. I personally have a very close friend who is a few months younger then me (I'm 17) and she has a 2 year old daughter that she takes care of everyday alongside a full-time job. Does that make her stupid as well for being a responsible parent at such a young age? I don't think so. Maybe you should think about what you are saying and look in the mirror, Because your view on our generation is very arrogant and that IMO makes you apart of the problem.

Personally, I hate this generation. The main thing I really hate is all the pregnant girls walking around in the halls of my high school. They have smiles on their faces but don't realize they are stupid and look like whales on steroids. Idk, what do you all think of this generation. I hate being apart of it. Wow man, it sounds like you have no luck with girls at all so now you are bitter towards them. Pregnant girls in your school are just like you. You both have made choices in life. Maybe people do not agree with choices you have made, does that mean you are stupid? I think that if a girl gets pregnant at a young age it's her choice. Sure she could have waited and gone down a different path, but she didnt wait. Now she will have a baby. And having a baby when you're young isnt bad. She will get you enjoy her son/daughter for many more years now because she didnt wait. Think about it, how cool is it to enjoy being with your dad, now imagine if you could enjoying having your parents alive another 10 to 15 years. I mean you had a woman give birth to you, how would you like it if someone said you're mother looked like a stupid whale on steriods? No one would like that said about their mom/daughter.

Just because a girl gets pregnant doesn't mean she is stupid. Get your head out of your snobby ass. When a 16 year old girl who is unable to financially support her child is proud of being pregnant, yes there is something wrong. Young boys and girls these days treat a child like an accessory, something to show off and dress up. Many of these girls (my younger cousin included) come from single parent dwellings, and they think this is the way they'll find happiness and love.. someone who can't leave. Either way, it becomes another human life to support. A 16 year old high school student hasn't fully matured, nor do they know the harsh realities of life. Their parents become responsible for the child, as the teenager isn't ready, and for that matter, doesn't know how to grow up! If you can't house a child or provide for a child without the help of your parents, without relying on government funding, then maybe you should rethink your approach to sex. I'm not saying don't have it.. but take precautions. It's not snobby.. if anything, it's irresponsible on the young girl/boy's part.

The fact that he defended it makes him look just as dumb.
