WWE star CM Punk attended the Rancid show in Detroit, Mich. last night and appeared onstage with the band. While on the stage, lead singer Lars Frederiksen said he had written new music for Punk and it would debut at Payback. His theme is one of the most recognizable in wrestling. I doubt he'd change it this early.

He better not change it. Cult of Personality is probably my favorite wrestling theme in years. And it fits him to a T.

Good thing it was a joke. I see COP being the theme Punk sticks with much like HHH, HBK and others have stuck with a long term theme. I doubt that. I remember that Punk said before he switched to COP that he liked This Fire Burns but eventually he heard it too much and started to hate it. So I assume eventually that Punk will be tired of COP and get a new song. |

If anyone has seen the DVD Best In The World, Lars is one of Punk's best friends. I think they were clowning around. I like Punk's new look though! Looks healthier and the beard cut is cool.
