When you use Gel pens to do the tattoos, how do you get them to stay on. They seem to just rub right off. Is there a certain type to use, or something that needs to be done to prep the figure before hand? Any help would be apreciated.

You just use sealer, like you would with any other thing you paint.

Since I'm having this same problem- my gel pen tats don't dry EVER- I'm topping this thread.
Anyone have anything they'd like to share with me on the subject?

I don't want to use Sharpie, I want to make gel pens not run!! Someone up there did suggest fire though. I'm going to try that later, but if I don't come back around here for a while, I probably burned down my apartment complex.

It's probley the paint or ink in the gel pen isn't compatable with plastic or rubber maybe you should buy differant types of gel pens by differant makers as the ink will be differant you would be better off useing a exspensive paint for tats at a novelty shop or hobby shop because apple barrel and folkways paint is thicker and cheaper also most exspensive paint is more permement once it dries so watering down a little exspensive paint would also give you the transparcy of a tat hope I helped good luck

Don't use Gel Pens, They run on paper....Plastic is no different..
Don't use Sharpie..They turn sticky and purple.
Use Paint, Or a Ball-Point pen.
Simple as That.
