I've been working on this for about three weeks now(have about 40-50ish hours in this), just finished up today after the last bit of stones came in yesterday. Time consuming project to say the least. Got quite frustrating towards the end. I had put some silver leaf on a few parts of the belt behind the stones. The glue didn't react so well to it which caused quite the mess. There are some bits of silver leaf left that do give it a kind of worn ring used look, and the belt I had received early this year already had some scratches so it does kind of blend in and add to the over all look imo. I do plan on getting this re-leather on down the road a little ways. I just wanna get all replicas I want which is only a couple more before getting them re-leathered.
Did zero drilling on this. Once I popped the stones I used a dremel on low setting to remove the old glue/foil. For the small stones on the outer side plates, "CHAMP" lettering, and the W on the center plate I ended up using round flat backs to avoid drilling. Used Russ' list of stones, ended up spinning just over $200 on the stones.
Couple other things I did was to make it more like the belt Punk had was dremel off the paint on the letter "C" of the word Champion on the right inner side plate. As well as pop the snap of the top center of the female side.
I do plan on restoning my Million Dollar Belt in the near future. I had wanted to do that one first but am having trouble finding the proper sized stones.
Here's a short video of it, not the best quality as I used my iPhone camera and have little videography skills. Constructive criticism is always welcome.

Looks pretty good. I got my spinner brand new because I was not about to do all that work.

^ I think he means he re-stoned his replica with higher quality (swarovski?) crystals instead of the plastic one that come with the belt initially. I've read about people doing this re-stoning on another belt forum, but I don't know if I could do this. It seems really time consuming and you'd have to know what you're doing well. It's not something you can half do. But props to you, the belt looks great and I'd like to know if/when you'll get it re-leathered. I want to get my spinner replica re-leathered.

Also I have the same hand-made nameplate as you on my replica, too. I take it you bought it from BeltFanDan?

Oh wow that is crazy. I was wondering why it was so sparkly! It looks great but still 40-50 hours is so much time! It will look really great when it is re-leathered because atm the strap is not great.

I know it’s been a while but what size/style stones did you use? Especially for the very tiny square ones.
Thanks!!
