Assuming he's been trying. He's been trying. Everyone knows this. Cabana has talked about it several times. You mean because CM Punk, on his own DVD, managed to get his best friend talking? Several DVD documentaries have had friends and relatives of the performer on them. That doesn't mean that WWE thinks Mick Foley's childhood neighbour is World Championship material, or that they're bringing in Randy Orton's wife to be the next Divas Champion. Because he's a poor man's Santino. If Santino leaves, maybe they'll give Cabana a try. But Cabana's very much a smalltime comedy wrestler, what works for 50 people in a barn might not work for 12000 people at Monday Night Raw. He is not a poor man Santino and I wouldn't call a guy who is on EVERY Major indies promotion outside of CZW small time. The same companies that Punk and Bryan worked for. Colt works a comedy style and does it well. Santino is a comedy wrestle but there styles are way different. Yes the WWE had Colt but used him as a jobber and never really allowed him to do anything to show case who he is on TV. Which they already had Santino so they didn't need a second comedy character. Colt was a comedy wrestler before Santino was even Santino. |

Cabana has managed to carve out a niche for himself and outside of the WWE is a very big name in American wrestling. Hardly small time by any means.
difference between him and Santino is Cabana can appeal to a wider demographic, whereas Santino is really there as a gimmick for the kids. (I say that as a big fan of Santino). Cabana could be a legit contender, at least for a mid-card title, whereas Santino is transitional at best.
Anyway, I don't see it happening unfortunately.

I never understood why people like this guy so much. I found him to be annoying at best. He failed already in his first WWE stint, he lasted what, 3 weeks?? I guess you just 'have' to like this guy cause he is CM Punk's friend, right?? Well if that's the case, bring in Ace Steel and let's get a Second City Saints group happening. They can feud with Ricky Steamboat again.

The top indies draw way more then "50" fans. When they where in ROH that company was peaking with the best product that company ever saw. Not to even bring up how those guys tour japan and all over the world. Punk was for a while was in TNA. ROH is the second largest company in the US. Bryan had a contract offer for the WWE at the same time Punk signed. But Bryan wanted to wait to gain more experience and travel the world. Which he did. These guy where every where to call any non WWE guy "small" time is kind of disrespectful to any non WWE company. ROH may not book themselves in big Arenas but they are on TV and did PPVs. |

Well I'm sure he knows this is his last opportunity to make it big. I really hope he gives his all because there will be no excuses this time.

I have always found it interesting that since Punk has moved up the power rankings in the WWE that he hasn't been able to get Colt hired. I would think he would have enough pull to get him something at this point.

I have always found it interesting that since Punk has moved up the power rankings in the WWE that he hasn't been able to get Colt hired. I would think he would have enough pull to get him something at this point. Same here. You'd think he could do something like that, but maybe he's not the kind of guy to try and force it. I'd be willing to bet Colt told Punk not to use his clout to get him hired because I'm sure he wants to make it on his own, not just by being Punk's buddy. |
