I finally bought a 1:24 diecast after a 2 year hiatus... I saw on Robby Gordon's Facebook page that he had his shop open for race weekend and posted a pic of the merchandise room. I was shocked when I spotted a red bull diecast from 2005 in there. I'm in central VA so I couldn't make the trip, but I called the shop and they allowed me to order through email. I got it for $30 and were even cool enough to have him sign it when I requested. Not a bad deal at all when you look at the eBay prices for that car. I'll try and get a pic posted later.

I was in tru last week, and for the first time I saw Lionel 1:24 scale cars. They had blacked out windows, but didn't appear to be r/c cars and had opening hoods. Don't tell me this is the 1/24 scale they're making now

Don't tell me this is the 1/24 scale they're making now I saw them yesterday. The hoods don't even actually open. They're glued shut. Took me 5 minutes of looking like an idiot trying to open a Harvick hood before I realized it was glued. Not a terrible deal for $20 for kids who collect but I would never buy one.

Not a fan of the black windows

I honestly believe those were the first I've seen since 08 when Wal-Mart's were full of the new dale jr 88 stuff. I still have a deep passion for NASCAR diecast, but I just can't justify spending the money nowadays when they almost never retain value. Plus, having a mortgage and 2 truck payments leaves little to waste.

I keep wanting to pick one up here and here but just can't justify the price.

Since I moved out on my own I've only gotten the Robby Red Bull car and Harvick's homestead win from 2014.

I collected during the action/racing champions days when stuff was plentiful. Now between availability, companies changing, and the store I always got the stuff like action from closing 10 years ago....im down to grabbing a 1:64 every couple months if one catches my eye. Did score the Cole custer 00 HAAS car recently though.

Picked up the Lionel 1:64 17 Sunny D, 24 Hooters, and 43 Air Force. Not too shabby, considering I don't follow mass market retail toys all that closely and I'm a big fan of all three schemes.

Just asking before they go on craigslist, would anyone be interested in a decent sized lot of Winners Circle Tony Stewart cars? Im trying to clean out room and looking to sale a lot of stuff. I can take pics if there's any interest. Everything is still on card

Ordered the Ryan Blaney win autographed Elite from Lionel. Also, I'm going to Charlotte sometime soon. Does anyone know any specialty stores that I could find cars aside from the official Lionel store and the team shops? Scott's Collectables, its in the Cloverleaf Plaza in Kannapolis Possibly the antique mall My house (kidding) Finally made it down to Scott's Collectibles. I definitely spent way too much money and probably would've spent more if I didn't need to save up for Christmas. Thanks for the help.

I know it's a long shot, but if anyone has anyone of the Robby Gordon cot's (Not jim beam or mapai) for sale or trade, let me know. I'm trying to finish my Robby collection. I have some rarities such as the Tony Raines 2007 hood open 1:64 and a bunch of 07-09 diecast.
