Do Mattel ever change a wrestler's skintone? I ask in this specific instance because I'm looking at buying an older Cody Rhodes to armswap onto Elite 20, but the Elite 20 seems pretty tanned compared to how I remember the older Cody figures being. But I'm curious as to whether they've ever changed a wrestler's skintone between figures.

Yes, they do change skintones. B24 AJ to Elite AJ is a good example.

I think they use Different skin tones for The Rock, With the Elite 14, 16 and 22 seem different to the Defining Moments and Legends Rocks! The Defining moments and the Legends Rocky figures seem to be darker! Might not be a I don't have that figures! Anyway!

Unfortunately they do not always....E10 yoshi tatsu is very different from B20 yoshi. E19 Dolph is different from some of his previous figs as well, which makes switching out those ridiculously massive arms they gave him a little problematic. E20 Cody got those same arms too, easiest switch to fix those is his most recent basic (B27?), it matches well.

Cody's are the same. I swapped his arms. (actually I swapped them with Cesaro) but Cody's tones are the same. Unfortunately Dolph's e19 skin tone is different from his past figures.

Too bad Dolph went a shade lighter in complexion; I was gonna use the thighs to fix up Macho Man.
They ended up giving AJ a tan along with Kelly Kelly. One of the earlier Zack Ryder basics had the normal white boy color, and Ryder called out Mattel on an episode of Z! Long Island Story. I think he took the figure to the tanning bed with him, and it ended up melting or something, lol.
