Alternate title: Boring saturday night write-up featuring The Ryback, 2MB, Dolph and associates + collection
Usually I'm on here complaining about how I can't find anything in these stores (still haven't got the PTPs lol). While Sheamus/Orton and the glut of signature series still rots on many a Walmart shelves, I have struck a bit of luck in the past week. Now it's time to show. off.
Two Fridays ago @ Walmart #1 (second closest to me and my 'favorite' one): Found the first AJ figure! Posted about this in the just-bought thread.
I was sad when I saw they put out such an old series but really glad to find two AJs, lazily hidden among a shelf of kids belts under the pegs. I picked the one with less-bent carding and am probably keeping it MOC. Yeah, they were really lazy with her attire (I know plaid would be too much but still), Eh. Whatever. That's nitpicking. And my money already went to Mattel. So they win. And I'm happy with the figure. Okay. Good talk.
Last Sunday @ Walmart #3 (least favorite one, farthest away).. I found the Jinder vs. Ryback two pack!
I planned on opening it up to see Ryback's awesome singlets. I'll probably keep his first basic MOC. I like The Ryback but have passed on his elite plenty of times now... it's a little bland IMO. This is probably as big as my Ryan Reeves collection is going to get (cause remember when calling wrestlers by their real name was cool?)
Jinder Mahal? I never gave a damn about him, but his figure is really well detailed. This one also has a nice, mean headscan that looks realistic. I passed on the latest McIntyre figure many times due to similar lack of care, but I at least have 2 of the 3MB in their undies.
Let's make it equal and give Ryback a butt-shot, too:
Yesterday (Friday) @ Walmart #2 (closest, relatively 'okay' store)..
I was immediately greeted on the front elite peg by AJ for the first time ever in elite form. I was thinking about passing this one, but the headscan is pretty decent in-person and is somewhat effective in capturing her angry, 'crazy' look. Also, I figured it may be the first and last time we get her plaid attire. Why the heck not?
Then, on the bottom shelf, I pushed through a couple of Ryback two packs to find THE LONE DOLPH AND VICKIE.
I have a certified man-crush on Dolph Ziggler. Sue me. My Nick Nemeth collection is also quite better than my Ryan Reeves collection. Second biggest stache is Bryan Danielson dolls at six. Next is Matthew Cardona and Philip Brooks each at five. Oh wait. Calling wrestlers by their real names isn't cool? K, my bad.
I have the first Vickie and a ton of MOC Zigglers, but I'm going to keep this MOC for the time being. But it will possibly be opened if I run out of wall room or decide to do a legit Dolph shrine. Elite AJ may be opened as well down the road.
Here are overall collection pics. The top shelf above the Ryder row I think will end up being Jakks figures for the time being, but probably will be infested with Mattels over time.
Before you ask.. why so many Ryders? Isn't he just a boring washed-up fad jobber with an atrocious voice and no real ring skills to speak of?
Thing is, I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for May 09-February 10 ECW, and everyone involved. One legged-pants Zack Ryder and saying WOO WOO WOO YOU KNOW IT seemed like the greatest thing ever. I am similarly, as you can probably tell, a fan of the DudeBusters and the INTENTS Vance Archer.
So, that's it. Thanks for looking at pictures of my bedroom and reading my write-up about toys. It was worth it. Lol.
These guys are all paired off in tag teams...
From left to right:
Steroid Heads
The Duo Nexus
The JOB Squad 2: Electric Boogaloo
Grumpy Young Men

Flight Club (yes, that's Trentylocks under the bag. Courtesy of -BEN.)
EDIT- I flipped those four pictures in Photobucket but they reverted back for some reason. Shoot. My bad.
