There is a Mr T "prototype" on Ebay currently from a proposed Wrestlemania 1 3 pack.
I remembered rumours of it but wondered if it actually hit prototype stage or not as I was not totally in the loop at the time.

I heard about it, and I've seen the proposed "proto". I can't say wether it's real or not. It'd be easy to custom I think, but I've spoken to the seller and he has a guy he gets his stuff from. I don't know if he works for Jakks or not, but he has a couple 1/100's loose and a lot of unpainted prototypes. Even a 1/20 piper.so going by the seller I'd lean to it being real. EDIT: Here's the picture for anyone interested.

I'd need more pictures to fairly judge. Specifically, the sides of his head (it doesn't appear to have earrings like the Clubber Lang figure, but they could've been cut off) and the lines/a closer look at the legs (they look like the tights are painted on, judging from mcgowan's picture, when they would've been molded in that color if it were real). It'll be interesting to see if the guy will provide clearer pictures so we can lay this to rest.

Well, the color on the tights is indeed consistent, so there goes my argument.

Ok this is a custom - easy way to tell is that's a head from the Jakks Rocky line - and since Jakks never reused the Thinderlips head on a WWE Hogan figure something tells me they wernt allowed to per their contract with WWE (they did years later with TNA). Plus Jeremy announced signings of all CS people they had acquired and T. was never mentioned! Very easy custom to make especially with the Hulkamania shirt already produced.

When Jakks announced the Rocky line (which also included Mike Tyson) Jeremy shot down the rumor/hope that there would be a WM14 Mike Tyson saying that "the Rocky line was specifically for the Rocky line and didnt cross over into the WWE Line). Not only that, looking at the boots of that Mr. T, they clearly use the Rocky boxer boots which by then, the Classic 3 Packs were suffering so bad that the last series I dont believe even made it to retail.

One way to settle could be to ask for a shot of the knees bent because you can tell if it was painted or molded then

This is laughable, but if it sells, I will list the one I made.

That looks like an amazing figure, but I reckon it's a custom for 2 minor reasons: 1. The tights looks painted, not molded in the colour. But prototypes often are painted, but some aren't so it's hit/miss. 2. That shirt is the EXACT same one I have for my Hogan from the Icon vs Icon HBK vs Hogan 2 pack. Literally no different.

It does look like an easy figure to customise, I don't believe it's a proto. i think it's a custom.

The detail in the boots should be a dead give away that Jakks didnt do it. Seriously, Adidas stripes AND different color laces. Jakks would have just made them solid gold.

That is a great looking custom - too bad some creep has to lie about it to jack the price up to insane levels of crazy.

That looks like a custom. I have the Clubber Lang in street gear and that head looks like it might be from the boxing gear one

Adidas have shoe laces, it's just that Rev. Run, DMC and Jam Master Jay didn't use said laces. I think it's legit, there were early rumblings back when the 3-packs were in their hey day that a Hogan, T and Snuka pack would accompany Piper, #1derful and Orton in a Wrestlemania I assortment.
This guy has genuine links to a Jakks employee, he even had listed the suited Fuji minus make-up from the cancelled POP set. Believe the hype. I pity the fool that don't have $4 G to spend.
