No work or class for me today so I decided to go to Goodwill and take (crappy iPod) pictures of toys.   Now, by the time I was watching WWE on a full-time basis, Maven was either gone or in jobberdom. I don't really remember or care. But I figured I pick up this figure, as he is one of the few 'modern' RA style wrestlers that I never had (off the top of my head, I'm missing Lesnar, Spike, Jindrak, Kenzo, Akio, Sakoda, newer guys like Bourne and Truth, and probably a handful more). Smackdown vs. Raw? Bitch pls. Velocity vs. Heat!  Judging by some Youtube videos, Maven had a sick DDT. I also hear he had an amazing dropkick. Here's my lazy attempt at his DDT:

nice find I have never thought of looking at goodwill for figures. Feel kind of Dumb now Ill have to start

I usually strike out at Thrift stores when it comes to figures. However there is one time I went to one and there was a bunch of beat up RA and TTL figures and some pristine Mattels. I bought the Mattels. Nice Pick up by the way

I found the WCW vibrating Kevin Nash figure a few days ago for $1.49 so that was cool. Thrift stores are usually hit or miss.

I bought the Mattels. Nice Pick up by the way I WISH I could find fair-priced mattels 'in the wild' like that. I only ever see them at flea markets for ridiculous prices ($10 each for beat up Triple Hs, Cenas, etc). I did snatch a Hornswoggle for fifty cents at a yard sale, and there probably were more Mattels but it was a few months before I started 'officially' collecting. |
