I thought we could make a thread now and start planning for the End of Year Awards so that people can have something to work towards, rather than just springing it up at the end of the year. Post here your ideas for categories, how the show should be run, etc, then we can start to get something sorted. One rule I thought could work would be that you have to have a minimum of five/six shows posted by November 15th to be eligible for some awards - hopefully this rule and the talk of the awards would spring some people into making new feds and getting their work out there in order to qualify for the awards and have a chance of winning them. Winning Best Fed with only one show posted would be harsh on others who have done quite a bit of work if you get me. A match posted as part of the joint-PPVs could perhaps count to this 5/6 number. Get discussing anyhow!  |

Good luck getting guys to five or six shows by then Titch, but kudos to you for bringing this back up. One thing I missed about the pic fed board is the lack of activity that caused no awards to even be mentioned. I knew you would be good for the board!

We won't take nominations yet, John, but that will definitely be a candidate I imagine! Just wanting to sort out what categories we should have, how we should vote, how many nominations, etc. Then nearer the time we can start getting shortlists together as a board.

My first nomination is show of the year Wrestlefest RAW: Wrasman. I was thinking we could maybe do it like the oscars have a portion for each person to be eligible for awards. Like we could have each fed announce an award with one of their commentators and maybe a match for this portion as well. We should have awards for these maybe: Feud of The Year
Match of the Year
Rookie Pic Fed of the Year
Best Pic Fed Show of the Year
Pic Fed of the Year
MVP of the Year
Funniest Show of the Year
Best Wrestler (In all the Feds who is the best wrestler used) Biggest Holy Chocolate Shark Moment of the Year
Most Improved
Best Arena
Most Deranged Wrestler
Best Storyline
Best Cliffhanger
That is all the ideas I have now. |

Hall of Fame definitely, and if I remember, RatedWWEF's WWEF hasn't been inducted yet?
Newcomer/Rookie of the Year can be added to the list with everything else along with the obvious fed of the year, show of the year etc

Had a couple more ideas relating to the Awards. Firstly, I'll start pushing the planning and get things ready once Bonfire Night is out of the way. I had an idea whereby your fed can only win if you vote. That way, I can PM those people who posted earlier in the year, but don't anymore, and try to get them back involved. Another thing may be to do Figamania and have it ready and posted for the first week of the New Year. That way it should start us off with a bang, and gives people time to do it over Christmas and the holidays, especially if they get new figs off Santa.  Any help on how it's been run in recent years would be appreciated too, as it will have no doubt changed since I last did it about 10 years ago! |

December 27th is a good date too, with Figamania maybe being on Friday 3rd January 2014? Could always move it to Sunday 5th to give people that extra bit of time. What are everyone else's thoughts? I think that is a great idea Titch. I like it. I think someone like Mikey, Warsman, or Bigeviljohn should go into the hof. But I like the award categories so far. Maybe for the award ceremony someone take pictures of some fig giving out the awards. Like a Oscars type thing.

Titch, I think it is important to keep the prestige of the awards, so it is crucial not to go over the top in the amount of categories in my opinion. I think that will allow more competition and make voting more interesting imo.
Just my 2 cents.

I produced Logo's for 3 different pic feds. If one of those wins the award for best graphics, do I get the award? Ha!
