NBC's Heroes is to return as a comic book series from Dynamite Entertainment. Writer Cullen Bunn will continue the adventures of the cancelled series' extensive cast. The show ran from 2006-2010 and was cancelled without wrapping up the overall plot. Dynamite has promised that Bunn will "build upon open-ended storylines... in a completely unexpected way". "Like so many others, I was a huge fan of Heroes during its original run," said the writer. "I was drawn to a cast of characters with interesting back stories and development, a setting boiling over with potential, and - of course - the exploration of superpowers in a 'real' world scenario. "With this book, I have the opportunity to contribute to the mythology of the series in a way that will surprise readers. When I was watching the show, I never could have imagined the direction I'd be taking the story." The show featured actors including Zachary Quinto, Kristen Bell, Hayden Panettiere, Ali Larter, Adrian Pasdar, Milo Ventimiglia, Santiago Cabrera and Masi Oka. Bunn currently writes Oni Press's The Sixth Gun and Marvel Comics' Fearless Defenders. Heroes previously received a spinoff webcomic and graphic novels. Very interesting, might give it a read, been wanting to rewatch heroes for a while but hate what it ends up becoming

I heard earlier this year they wanted to bring the series back through Xbox 1 streaming? Not sure how that work. But I'll be happy to see it coming back with tying up some lose ends. Hopefully Mezco will do some figures. Lord knows they need the business. Thanks for the info

Hopefully Mezco will do some figures. Lord knows they need the business. Thanks for the info MSN wants to relaunch the series as original content, seemingly for Xbox streaming. So similar to Hemlock Grove for Netflix. That news was just reported in like April, so not that long ago. It would be a new set of heroes with cameos from original cast members. I'd prefer a movie, but you are probably right in that we'll never see anything like that happen. Comics are better than nothing.
