I remember reading that WWE started selling radio headsets at TV tapings so that those in attendance could tune into a certain frequency and listen to the commentating as they watched the live show - was this just a trial thing; or do they still do it?

that's a brilliant idea! This would probably raise prices though.

I was hoping they had them at Wrestlemania 29 but they didn't have any there. I guess they stopped doing it for some reason. Maybe nobody was buying them so it was a waste of their money. I thought it was a great idea though, and if they brought them back, I'd grab one at a show.

I never saw them but i haven't been to an event in a while. Sounds like a pretty good idea though. They should rent them instead, where you put a credit card on file and if you don't return it you get charged full price.

I don't know what anyone else thinks, but being live in the arena WITHOUT commentary is amazing!

It would depend on how I feel at the event, if the crowd was boring as crap I'd buy one, however if the crowd was on fire I'd pass on it.

Perhaps the best thing about going to a show is not having to sit through three hours of awful commentary. Plus, I'd rather be engaged with the rest of the crowd, which is a hell of a lot more fun.

I could understand why. The crowd is never interested for some reason. I wish they would stop holding it in la.

I remember my first live event when I was about 7. In the car ride, I was wondering, "What..will I still hear people talk during the match?" So I was expecting to hear the commentator's voices through some speakers or something. I was so stupid.

They had them at Wrestlemania 28. I was skeptic for $15, but when I found out you can bring it back and use it at future events, I was sold. I was in a boring section kinda but hearing JR call the Hell in a Cell match while watching it in person was an incredible experience.. And If you could hear the wrestlers talking on TV, I could hear it on the headset, so I heard when Triple H was saying "End it" and what-not.
I took it with me to Payback last month, even bought a new battery for it, but it never worked and I noticed they werent selling them. Kinda dissapointed, it didnt seem like a complicated thing, so I wonder why it stopped.
