The 1980's in WWF was known as the tag team heyday. With the Hart Foundation, Demolition, and British Bulldogs dominating the scene, and teams like Strike Force, The Killer Bees, The Rockers, and Young Stallions holding there own it seemed as if Tag Teams carried the non Hogan part of the card. However with so many great workers on the roster in the 1980's. i must ask what two singles wrestler would you have loved to see form a tag team? Here is one I thought of
Mr Perfect and Rick Rude "Perfectly Ravishing" would be there team name naturally.

for some reason,I could see The Million Dollar Man and The Genius being a team. story/character-wise,something like Dibiase has the bucks, Poffo manages it for him type of thing.
"Million Dollar Intellects"
Kamala and George "The Animal" Steele ...call them "Basic Instincts"

Perfect and Rude would have been greatness.
I dunno about the 80s but as a kid I had a fascination with Bret Hart & Undertaker being a tag team. I always thought "Hart & Soul" was a cool team name based off the Summerslam 1997 tagline.

Even though we got the Twin Towers and they were a good team, I think the team would have made more sense as Bossman and One Man Gang, not Akeem. A corrupt cop and a thug make more sense as a heel team than a cop and an African wannabe.

As a fig fan I typically do Rude/Hennig teamups. I also have the following:
Adrian Adonis & Jesse Ventura: "Adorable Bodies" (made even better by the fact that they were the East/West Connection)
Butch Reed & Bad News Brown: "Naturally Bad"

I always liked the idea of Sting and The Road Warriors forming a stable to challenge the Four Horsemen. I know they did some stuff here and there, but something more permanent would have been awesome.
Bob Backlund and Bruno Sammartino. Neither really had much going on in the 80's. They could have been one of the greatest tag teams of all time.
Bruiser Brody and Lex Luger. (Joke)
Geno Hernandez and Rick Martel.
Andre the Giant and the Brooklyn Brawler w/ Bobby "the Brain" Heenan.
Edit - and Stan Hansen and Steve Williams.

Jake/Taker as The Dark Side, should have been used more effectively, 1991 I know but a tag title run easily
A Dibiase/Savage alliance in 89 would have been cool,
