I'm definitely not blaming Bill here, either. he put in the request, and thought it would be put through. these things happen. that's why I never wait for running changes in a line, cause you never know if they will or won't happen. first time I see it,I grab it!

My issue is he lied. I wouldn't have cared if there wasn't a change planned. I'm fine with how it was. It's the lying that gets me. How did he lie? He said he put in the request to have it changed. But it turns out the second production was already done. I'm sure if he had known when he made the statement that the second run had already been done he would have never said anything about a running change to begin with. What it sounds like is he put the request in and they never got back to him saying it was to late so he thought it went through. Maybe he saw this thread and went to find out why they hadn't started hitting retail and found out it didn't go through. It sounds like it was an honest mistake and he just found out about it as well. If what you say turns out to be false then you have lied. If it wasn't confirmed, he should have stated that he put in the request and not that the change was coming. That's why I'm glad he will now only do it if it is actually confirmed.

No that's not a lie. What I said was speculation. I didn't say any of it was fact except for the part that yes he said he put in a request for a running change. Which was true. Anything after that was all guessing by all of us including you. You don't know any of it as fact to come out and say he lied. Unless you are the person he sent the request to you don't know.

If he said he put in the request then it shouldn't have taken long for them to deny the request. I highly doubt that when he posted it wouldn't be happening he had just found out. If I don't know then you don't know either.

I know I don't know but I am giving him the benefit of the doubt. And I personally don't think he lied.

It's silly to think he lied. The only thing he'd gain by lying is making people not buy the first Honky Tonk Man they saw.

Ya I thought it would turn up but it didnt make sense when MattelDesignTeam said it would turn up in the revision case when Honky wasnt included in the 2nd wave. Maybe they were confused. I dont have a problem with it all all, a jumpsuit and a breakable guitar are as good a accessories as your gonna get with a figure.

And even doing that I don't think people not buying there product would be a "gain" lol I think that would b bad to have product not sell but in any event this whole situation is weird and funny how mdt hasn't commented or touched on this situation at all ....

It never happened. I put in the request to change the jumpsuit art on the next round of jumpusit that were to be made, but the entire run of jumpsuits for this figure were already made by the time I did. When I said that there was going to be a running change made I did so with the assumption it would be be, but as it turned out it did not. Going forward I am only going to confirm running changes when they are found at retail to avoid confusion like this happening again. Bill Thanks bill I'm just glad to know I can call off my search.
