get rid of power slammers and have more of a budget for Elite figures so we can get a T shirt with Punk or other bits and bob's It won't happen. If they drop Power Slammers the powers that be won't say to the WWE design team "use that money for Elites" all that will happen is it'll be one less line on the pegs and that money will go back into the pot. And even if they did things like that and that money was able to go to the Elites production budget then they would charge retailers more and then retailers would charge us more. Which would then have many on this board up in arms that their stores are charging $25 for an Elite. lol

Jakks had the same idea and we got this: I still have one and THE BATTERIES WILL NOT DIE so everytime i drop the box that its in down in my basement i have to hear the rock say "AH!" or "Know Your Role Jabroni!" I thought it was only mine! I'm 15 an that was one of my first figures but to this day it won't shut up About replacing Powerslammers, why not make LJN style figures like Jakks used to do? A punk one would be sweet

Not my cup of tea. But then again neither were flex force or the other things.

How about completely pulling funding away from those type of figures and bring back the defining moments line. With the tons of Flex Force and Power Slammers they put out, they could easily afford to instead put out three or four series a year with four superstars in each series.

I would rather see them use the money and invest it in the elite line, more accessories, legends signings etc.

Which would then have many on this board up in arms that their stores are charging $25 for an Elite. lol That post should get stickied, the amount of people who have no clue about how money works and make silly "put the money in2 elites" posts. There's someone right above this post called inkboy83 doing the same thing even though your post was already made. For people who don't understand how money works, here's a very simplified example of why "cancel them n put money in2 elites lol" doesn't work: An elite figure costs roughly $18. A power slammer costs roughly $13. A Rumblers two-pack costs roughly $9. So if Mattel sells one of each, that's about $40. Which means that if you add up the design, production and distribution cost for the above (one elite, one power slammer, one rumbler pack), then that budget is spent with projections for a $40 return at retail. So if Mattel takes the budget for the Rumblers pack and the budget for the Power Slammer and puts it into the elite, then that elite needs to cost $40 by itself to make the $40 return. The above example is simplified in that it doesn't go into wholesale prices and different retail pricing structures, but PJ's post covers some of that. It's just a basic way to demonstrate how each line's budget is (and has to be) dictated by its own price point and sales projections. There's not just a random pot of money that they can throw anywhere that someone on a forum wants them to. We can have our fantasies that getting rid of Power Slammers would bring back Defining Moments figures for $5 or elites with more accessories for the same price as now, but we need to realise that that's all they are. Fantasies. They don't make any real-world sense. On-topic: They did try talking' flexforce, as PJ said earlier... And they were quite expensive and ended up in discount stores and bargain bins. So I don't think Mattel would try something so similar anytime soon. But I'd like to see a couple. CM Punk: "Best in the world!" "It's clobberin' time!" (Probably couldn't use that one.) "Whoops! I'm breaking the fourth wall!" Daniel Bryan: "Yes! Yes! Yes!" "No! No! No!" "I'M the tag team champions!" "I am not the weak link!"

You actually think that if that happened, and if they had the CM Punk talking one, he would speak the whole pipebomb?
You do realise that promo was 10-15 minutes long?

If you get rid of the stupid gimmick lines, you may be able to devote the design teams and factories and all other resources involved to putting out more of the actual successful lines. You obviously can't add tons more accessories to elites without driving up costs, but perhaps putting the extra manpower and effort there instead of on nonsense that doesn't sell anyway. Making better use of that shelf space may help customers be able to find what they want easier at retail as well. They could reduce turnaround time on getting new characters, or more playsets, more basic heritage series where we could get flashbacks that would never make the elite line...
