I've been expecting it on figures after the Elite 16 CM Punk. I figure I'd give a pass on the build a Ricardo wave as it was close to Elite 16 production-wise. But seeing the WM29 Punk in Undertaker colors, I was 100% expecting the red petals to be on there. I would imagine the figure is getting very expensive to make. I wonder if having zero accessories would be the only way to get the petals. Or one less color on his kickpads? I'd love to know the process for getting costs down by eliminating paint in areas.

^^^ That makes sense. Budget for additional paint goes to more tat detail.

I wonder if that is a hard sell tho, as a company. I imagine as a whole, they'd want a figure to be attractive in the package to the average consumer. If they packaged Punk with zero accessories, all black kickpads, it may come across as a hard figure to sell. Especially if it is hanging next to a Cena, which has a ladder, briefcase, hat, and necklace all proudly displayed. I hope there is some way they could get away with it tho. I know a lot of collectors would love it, but are we enough to get that into stores?

I doubt they'll add more color to his chest tattoo. To be honest, I don't think it's a necessity, either. I'd rather see a cloth shirt or colored kickpads than just having the petals on his chest tat colored in.

Its one of them things where if they was to pack him with no accessories but with one or two coloured tattoos people would moan about the lack of accessories, but then on the other hand if they were to give him a T-shirt and something else but cut short on the paint job on the tattoos or kickpads people again would moan. There's really no win win in the end of the day.

I'd be alright if the tats were left alone, he got black kickpads, and a shirt.

Exclusives tend to be a normal elite with a little extra. Maybe RSC could do the Bret Hart tribute CM Punk with all the tats and a megaphone.

^ Red permanent marker It works great! Easy to use and it won't come off.

I know never to use marker on figures, but this was only a little thing and I put them on display only so I dont really think there is a problem with that.

id gladly take black and white tattoos if we can continue to get Punk with cloth shirts and good accessories, plus fully detailed attire.

I may be in the minority, but I would sacrifice all accessories to have the figure itself as complete as possible. However, I understand that at retail it may hurt sales to see an elite figure without accessories so it likely won't happen.

I'd happily take colored tattoos and a rubber t-shirt - the rubber shirts look better on display, anyway.

I actually tested this out last night on a Basic Punk. Other than getting red stains on my fingers, it worked pretty well! There are areas of thicker red though, as when you're working with such a small area you're sorta making dots to cover everything. But all in all, kind of a good idea! Thanks! Whether I'll try it on an Elite...I'll have to think about it...

After watching the footage from SDCC, I'd gladly take an all black kick pad Punk to have a cloth hoodie thrown in. I'd like an all black kick pad Punk anyway. Most of the time on RAW that's what he's wearing.
