I was about to order him for 35. Then I thought, "Hey, Daniel Bryan's #1 Yes-Man!, why the hell are you paying 35 bucks for a belt, you don't even care about the figure. The Rock is the accessory in this case."
So I said screw it and am gonna wait to get him at Wal-Mart. The only store with WWE figs in my town is the one Wal-Mart, but there is no way in hell I am paying 35 for a belt.

I definitely got it more for the greatly improved modern Rock than the belt as I'm not really watching modern wrestling anymore. Add some accessories and it will totally "Rock" (pun intended)

I wonder how the new Rock headscan will look if they add the goatee on the face...

I think this figure is awesome, as is the new belt. I know a lot of people are complaining about the attire, but it is an accurate attire. This figure is based on The Rock's WWE Title defense at the Elimination Chamber PPV. They wanted to include the new Title, and the only match that The Rock had done while holding the new WWE Title was Elimination Chamber. This Series and the attires were already set in stone before Wrestlemania, so there wasn't enough time to wait to see his logo color.
As for how much I would pay....he's 2 per case, so he's not shortpacked. Obviously buying in stores you have to not only contend with kids and the average collector, but because of the new belt, scalpers buying multiples and people stealing the belt is a MAJOR concern.
I was lucky enough to find one in stores for $16.99. Unless a figure has been out for a while and I have been unable to find it, I don't even consider for a second going over retail price. Lots of times, it's just a case of my area having not gotten a Series yet.
Like with Basic 24 AJ. So many places started getting Basic 24 in Late November! I didn't find her until late JANUARY! But I never went online and overpaid because I knew my stores and none of them had gotten Basic 24 yet. So I kept checking the stores and I waited and waited and eventually the Series hit and I got her.
I am lucky enough to live in America where we have plenty of stores that sell WWE figures, and web sites like Amazon and MattelShop sell WWE figures at the retail prices and offer free shipping options on orders of $25...so I have many many options and places to acquire my figures for the retail price.
If a person lives out of the USA in a place that does not have stores that carry WWE figures and the shipping prices to where they live are very high....then I guess it's really up to you to decide how bad you want a figure and how much it is worth to you.
As I said, since I have so many different places I can get figures at retail price, I'm not going to pay more than retail because EVENTUALLY one of the many many places I get figures from is going to come through.

Yes, he did wear that attire at Elimination Chamber when he fought CM Punk. But at that ppv, it was still the WWE Spinner belt and not the new WWE title. Actually, if you remember, during his entrance, he did not even have the spinner with him as the belt was stolen by CM Punk a few days before on RAW. So CM Punk actually came into the match holding The Rock's title. It was only after he successfully defended the title did we see Rock holding the spinner. It was only the next night on RAW, did we see the new WWE title which The Rock unveiled. So no, the new WWE title wasn't at Elimination Chamber. It was only unveiled the next night on RAW. And the first PPV the new WWE title was defended at was Wrestlemania. This is the only figure out there that I really want, and along with FB Brock will probably be 1 out of the last 2 figures I will ever buy. But I still won't pay a dime over retail for it.
